The work follows the establishment, the history and the present of the mountain rescue service in the territory of the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia in the particular historical periods. It focuses on the conditions under which the mountain rescue service was established. It compares particular regions regarding selected indicators (e.g., the number and structure of its members, the membership conditions, the type of interventions, the intervention intensity, the size of the territory, the number of rescue stations, etc.). The work also deals with the functioning and the quality of the cross-border cooperation in various areas. The aim of this diploma thesis is methodical recommendation to the management of education in a given area of culture for individual culture bearers represented by the founders of historical monuments and their administrators. Stated goals have been achieved through content analysis of strategic materials and their reflections in specific organizations, based on interviews with culture representatives in the field of historical monuments on one side and education experts on the other side. The aim of the interviews is to identify the consistencies, differences and tendencies in the explored sector, which will then be reflected in the methodological recommendations to the individual cultural bearers. Author defines basic terminology related to the culture and its historical development in the theoretical part of the thesis, placing a significant focus on the definition of cultural and Christian values that have shaped modern-day Europe. The thesis analyses the position and potential of organic farming in regional development or more precisely rural development in local area of farming of particular organic farms in the Czech Republic environment. It judges correlation among socio-economic indicators, share of organic farming land on agricultural land in the local area and share of less favoured area in administrative local unit of the Municipalities with extended competence. The part of the thesis deals with delimitation of term "Rural area" and its specification in particular patterns, and analysis of the same indicators as mentioned above in each of the pattern.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview regarding survey of income and living conditions of households in the Czech Republic and propose a feasible approach to the exploitation of the collected data. The diploma thesis describes the framework of the EU-SILC survey and presents its practical implementation in the Czech Republic. A technique utilizing contingency table analysis is proposed for studying asymmetric relationships between selected housing characteristics and amenities in the dwelling with respect to different household types. The analysis is based on the relative frequencies of housing characteristics observed for particular types of households. The frequencies stem from the sample survey of income and living conditions of households carried out in the Czech Republic under the official title of Living Conditions 2008. Asymmetric measures of association for nominal and ordinal variables were used for the description of the relationships as the examined housing characteristics and household types have the character of alternative, nominal or ordinal variables. The analyses show significant relationship of the selected housing characteristics and the amenities in the dwelling on the monitored types of households.

The master thesis focuses on the influence of common European currency in Slovakia. Slovakia represents small transitive economy with high degree of openness and long-term experience from participation in common monetary union. The aim of the thesis is to analyse observed and potential benefits and costs that are emerging from adoption of common European currency in Slovakia. The analysis is based not only on quantified determinants, but also on the basis of observed alternative evaluation criteria, which are providing complex picture of macroeconomic development and performance of Slovak economy in comparison with other countries of Eurozone and European Union. Analyses that are used in the thesis are based on theoretical findings that are described in the first chapter. This chapter deals with criteria defined by the theory of optimal monetary unions, real convergence, but also with the most significant benefits and costs defined by the European Commission and economic theory. The thesis deals with the monetary politics in Slovakia before and after 2009 with focus on loss of autonomous monetary policy as the most significant cost of entry to European Monetary Union and also with analysis of the nominal convergence criteria that are needed to accept in case of adopting common European currency.

Abstract The theme of this work is the project management, specifically deployment of different methods of project management. The work theoretically describes the basic project ma-nagement terms and describes the various methods and tools for project management. It also contains a description of techniques and methods for determining the suitability of use in relation to a project and in relation to the stage of the project life cycle.

This thesis deals with the meaning of agriculture in the country area and its effect on the development of the rural areas. My goal is to evaluate the actual realization of resources, which are spent on the support of farmers, who practice in areas with less favourable conditions. This is performed on a regional analysis of the number of handed and accepted requests and on the amount of the land usage in disadvantaged areas with the result that my thesis will concentrate on the evaluation of a regional differentiation. This diploma work will deal with the issue of what kind of the Czech agricultural disadvantaged areas happen to use the financial resources in terms of LFA, and what are the main factors of such differentiation in the relation with the aims of this support. The theoretical part of this thesis targets on the country development and the meaning of agriculture in the country area. It describes methods and approaches of determination of the rural area and less-favoured areas. It also characterizes the Rural Development policy in Czech Republic. The analytical part of this work contains a regional payment analysis (in the concept of the rural area) for a natural disadvantage provided in the mountain areas, and payments provided in other less-favoured areas (LFA) in the programming period 2007-2013 in the Czech Republic. For this regional analysis there are used data especially from the implementation organ SZIF, data from the Agricultural Accounting Data Network FADN, and finally data from the Annual Report of the Rural Development Program. Such data are interpreted on the basis of the method of cartographical projection. Farther, this thesis tries to find out if the aim of such action is realized. On account of the performed analysis, my thesis summarizes acquired findings and draws consecutive conclusions from the realization of support.

The crimes against human dignity in sexual area - criminal and criminological aspects Abstract: The thesis deals with those crimes that affect the most intimate area of human life, the sexual area. It analyzes those crimes from a criminal point of view and compares the current Czech legislation with the legislation in Spain. Based on this comparison, the thesis contains several considerations de lege ferenda, which could improve the current Czech legislation. As the chosen topic is strongly affected by forensic science and criminology, the thesis also deals with sexual crimes from the point of view of these scientific disciplines. From a criminological point of view, the thesis examines the personality of the perpetrator and the victim. With regard to perpetrators, it deals primarily with the motives, motivations and typology of perpetrators in general. In relation to victims the thesis finds out, in particular, how committing these crimes affects their lives (including secondary victimization) and deals with their position from a procedural point of view. Legal regulation of protection of wild bird species Abstract This thesis deals with legal regulation of protection of wild bird species at the international, European and Czech level. The aim of the thesis was to provide an overview of legal regulation of protection of wild bird species, and to evaluate whether this legal regulation is an effective means of achieving objectives which led to its adoption. The thesis consists of an introduction, three main parts and a conclusion. The first part of the thesis describes protection of birds in international law. In this part of the thesis there are first introduced international organizations important for protection of birds, in particular International Union for Conservation of Nature and BirdLife International, and then in the author's opinion the most relevant international conventions to protection of birds, namely the Ramsar Convention, the Bonn Convention, the Bern Convention and the Convention on Biological Diversity. This diploma thesis deals with the topic of the U. S. Peace Corps and its possible areas of improvement in the third millennium. The aim of the thesis is to research available documents and to determine and analyze possible areas of improvement during the administrations of George W. Bush and Barack Obama. The thesis focuses on African continent with regards to the Peace Corps presence in individual host countries. The main research questions of this thesis are: "What are the possible areas of improvement within the U. S. Peace Corps organization in the third millennium?", and "Is the agency and the political debates concerning the reforms of the agency reflecting experiences and feedback of the volunteers?" The answers to these questions are sought with the help of research in documents as well as with the help of the analysis of author's one hundred collected surveys from current and former volunteers. Moreover, the areas of the Peace Corps training, recruitment, and support of the volunteers are researched in this thesis alongside with the Washington bureaucracy, mission of the agency, safety and security of the volunteers, sexual assault response, and whistleblower reforms.
