Contentious issues of necessary defence in judicial practise Abstract This thesis is focused on the analysis of contentious issues of the criminal law institute of necessary defense within the relevant cases of judicial practise. Its purpose is to summarize the concept of the institute of necessary defense in the Czech legal system, to find out the circumstances that courts usually take into account in their decision-making and to answer other questions that are inextricably linked to the institute of necessary defense. The content of the diploma thesis is divided into chapters and subchapters. The first two chapters briefly deal with the development and function of circumstances precluding wrongfulness within the system of criminal law, the purpose of the necessary defense as one of them and its relation to necessity. The content of these chapters is mainly undisputed knowledge about these institutes. The final part of the second chapter draws on the relation between necessary defense and necessity and deals in more detail with the issue of subsidiarity, taking into account the decision-making of courts. The defense of a debtor in execution proceedings Abstract The thesis focuses on the defense of a debtor in execution proceedings. It is divided into theoretical and practical part and composes of six chapters. The thesis is based on specialized literature, professional newspaper articles, Czech courts case law and historical and current legislation. The goal of this thesis is to provide theoretical explanation of selected legal means of the defense given to a debtor in execution proceeding and to subject them to considerations and criticism. Therefore, each part of the thesis doesn't lack considerations of sufficiency or insufficiency of the legislation in relation to the debtor or reflections over the possibilities how to abuse the legal means of defense in execution proceeding by a debtor. The first chapter is devoted to the historical excursion focusing on the execution law with an emphasis on the possibilities of the defense of the debtor against execution. The excursion starts in the Roman era, continues through the medieval and modern execution law and ends with significant milestones in the execution law in the Czech Republic. The current economic crisis has led the leaders of the European states to decrease their spending on defense. This paper argues that if this reduction in public spending is not offset by the increase in international cooperation than the military capability of the region is going to deteriorate in the near future. The argument that the defense budgets are decreasing is based on the analysis of the data available for the public defense expenditures. Further six case studies of EU states are presented showing that the potential decrease in capability is observable in a wide range of EU countries. The case for greater international cooperation is based on the economic theory of comparative advantage and benefits of competition in the defense market. Furthermore, academic literature supporting this hypothesis is also presented to the reader throughout the paper. The conclusion of this paper is that the current tendency of governmental politicians of EU countries to ignore the need for greater international cooperation in the defense sector is unsustainable and that if European Union wants to maintain its position as one of the world power blocks, systematic reform of the EU defense market will need to be introduced.

4 ABSTRACT Characteristic high helmets in Daphnia cucullata, which increase resistance of Daphnia against various invertebrate predators, can be induced by chemical cues released by these invertebrates but also by small-scale turbulence. I evaluated the response of D. cucullata to both factors in several clones originating from two riverine pools differing in their predator regime. In a large pool, the dominant invertebrate predator is the cladoceran Leptodora kindtii, and the Daphnia population there shows a typical cyclomorphosis. In the second (small) pool, Daphnia do not produce helmets, despite the presence of the phantom midge larvae Chaoborus flavicans. I compared phenotypic changes of Daphnia cucullata clones from these pools to Chaoborus kairomones and to a small-scale turbulence in laboratory experiments. Kairomones induced significantly longer helmets in clones from both pools; however, only clones form the large pool reacted also to turbulence. As all daphnids in the experiments responded to chemical cues from Chaoborus, I assume that either the kairomone dose under natural conditions in the small pool is too low to induce helmets or the phenotypic response of the local population is mediated by other factors. 1 Abstract Financial market regulation and tole of compliance function in the Czech Republic The topic of this diploma thesis is the evaluation of the current legislative regulation of financial markets in the Czech Republic, the principles of their regulation and related supervision. The next part of the work is devoted to the complex characteristics of the compliance function and the concept of corporate governance inextricably linked with it. The subject of the compliance function is comprehensively analysed in the work to define its scope and the regulations by which it is defined. Although the compliance function is present in many areas of business activities, this work is focused primarily on financial markets and specifically on banking. The first part of the thesis describes the characteristics of financial markets, the need for their regulation and supervision. The second part contains an analysis of legislative and non-legislative regulation of financial markets, both at the national, international and European Union level. Special attention is paid to the CNB and its efforts to mediate legal binding for non-legislative acts and the associated analysis of their enforceability. Submision of work is the reconstruction of the Essler spinning factory and it´s whole area. The new usage is the high school of architecture for 100 students (master's degree). The uniqueness of the place, building, construction and assignment. The proposal accept and evolve these terms. The uniqueness of the place, based on the topography, is mainly determined by the river Svitava, which determines the whole structure of the surrounding and creates the uniqueness and genius loci of the place. The island is formed by river bending and man-made mill-race, which was brought down to the water mill. The river banks, having a huge recreational potential (raiced by a bicycle path along the river), as well as possible used for recreation. The proposal also reflects and is based on the principle of education. Public education is accessible to all who are interested in and have a potential. That is why i propose as open as it is possible space. I propose the prolongation of the access bridge and create the connestion between the church of St. George and the southern bank of the river. It makes an important spiritual axis connecting the church and the statue of Saint Nepomuk on the south shore. The proposal emphasizes the recent axis of the island. Axis theme is amplified by the open space of school building and entering the school from the bridge (the exposed side from city and bus stop) continues throughout the entire building to further academic Square, serving as a susperse school area. Building construction is what is unique and what is certainly worth preserving. So it is showed as possible as it is regarding to the needs of the school. The building is showing construction upward also for students as well. This flows into in the last floor where is the open space. There is used the only one added aesthetic motion, the stals, which also emphasizes the axis.

Diploma thesis "Public presentation of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic in selected Czech media" deals with public presentation of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic (ACR) and Ministry of Defense (furthermore the department of defense). Nowadays, it is necessary to work with public and media presentation, and if it is possible, then cooperate with media which help to form the public opinion. One of the goals of our work was to determine whether the department of defense uses any communication manuals and procedures for their public communication, and by using qualitative analysis (interviews and own research of available materials) to explore what is its communication strategy and which tools are used for communication with the public and the media. The goal of quantitative content analysis was to determine how different is an interpretation of events associated with the department of defense in our chosen print media (MF DNES, Blesk) from interpretation of these events in departmental media (journal A report, websites www.army.cz). For this analysis we chose five events for which we sought content mentioning the ACR or the department of defense. Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic is the central body of state administration in particular for ensuring the defense of the Czech Republic, the Czech Army management and military areas control. There is a need of a sophisticated system of communication to be able to promote resort interests, to build a positive image of the Minister, the Ministry and Army, to inform about changes in the MoD and for effective communication within such numerous department. For this reason it is necessary to pay close attention to the creation of communication strategy. The aim of the thesis is to familiarize with the marketing communication mix focused on the public sector, to introduce the issues of marketing communications of the Ministry of Defence and to analyze the effectiveness of one of the tools used by the MoD for internal communication -- the military journals A report -- including the final recommendations.
