Working hours, their duration and work schedule Abstract The diploma thesis deals with the topic of working hours and related institutes in Czech labor law in order to provide a comprehensive overview of the valid legal regulation. In addition, the work deals with the issues of breaks and rest periods, which are inseparably related to working hours. The thesis is divided into six chapters, which are subdivided into subchapters. The first chapter contains a historical excursion into the history of working hours regulation in the Czech lands from the Middle Ages to the present. I also mention the valid legal regulation of working hours at international and national level. The second chapter defines the concept of working hours, followed by a detailed description of each of the related institutes - its length, scheduling of work, work overtime, night work, on-call duty and working hours register. The following chapters discuss the organization of working hours for employees who look after children or other natural persons, pedagogical workers, workers in transportation and employees working under agreements to work outside the scope of employment. International and european aspects of the working time legal regulations Abstract The aim of this thesis is to comprehensively describe and critically evaluate european and international legal regulation of the working time and the rest periods. After the general Introduction the thesis is divided into 4 main chapters. The most fundamental outputs from these chapters are summed up in the Conclusion. The importance of the issue within the scope of juridical institutes of the labour law is emphasized in the Introduction of this thesis. It is one of the most important working condition for the employees. That is why the duly adjusted minimal protective standards are essentials for the workers with regard to the possibility of influencing theirs state of health. In the short historical summary I try to prove that people always realized the importance of the limitation of the working time and of the adjusting the minimum rest periods. I also refer to the fact that the european and international legal framework dealing with the working time is very extensive and difficult to interpret. This diploma thesis is a microhistorical case study into the field of regional history. It examines the work of the state institutional social care facility - Retirement home in the village Rozsochatec, where the nursing staff cared for the elderly and non-independent people. The staff consisted of nuns of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament and several laical helpers between 1952 and 1956. Moreover, the daily life was shaped by the presence of the Roman Catholic priest, as well as by the constant supervision of the district church secretary. The main purpose of this work is an insight into the everydayness of this specific social facility - medical and nursing care, supplying, meals, hygiene, home cleaning and, last but not least, leisure time, spiritual and political life inside the Retirement home are explored. In addition, the work deals with individual actors (social groups) and the chateau building in the village Rozsochatec, in which the social care institution was located. It describes the relationship of the socialist state to the nuns after 1948 and portray one small religious community. This thesis was focused on determining the orientation of the body of domestic sheep while grazing or resting. Attention was also paid to the assessment of environmental conditions that may affect the position of animal behaviour. Data were collected through the direct observation compared to the previous studies, which have been based on satellite images from Google Earth. In this experiment, only selected designated individuals were evaluated. The direct observation detected the individual preferences of animals, not only the direction but also the location. The evaluating of photos of the animals found out, according to the time of day,north and west facing position of the body. The more significant directional preference was documented in resting individuals.

The master's thesis 'Lifestyle of students of University of Economics in Prague' focuses on the concept of healthy lifestyle, its definition and sub-areas, such as health in general, nutrition, work-life balance and time management. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the lifestyle of students of the University of Economics in Prague, namely in the areas of living, eating and physical habits, work-life balance and time management. The online questionnaire survey carried out a quantitative research, which was attended by 612 VŠE students. Based on the theoretical part, four hypotheses had been established at the beginning of the application section, which were either confirmed or refuted based on the results of the questionnaire survey.

This study was focused on cattle body orientation in a new pasture environment. Environmental conditions that could affect orientation were also evaluated. Data were collected by direct observation of three groups of cattle for three days from 7:00 to 19:00 each hour. Photographs of individuals were taken and the direction to north was determined using a compass. Simultaneously, meteorological data (temperature, relative humidity, wind direction and velocity, precipitation) were also recorded each hour.

The diploma thesis deals with the question of work and rest in the life of a contemporary Czech person. This includes the development of western Europe in past centuries before and after the industrial revolution up to the present situation characterized by the emphasis on speed and profit. The next part deals with the development of the Czech countries in the twentieth century that have undergone significant dramatic changes reflected even in the field of work and rest. The changes that took place with the commencement of capitalism are reflected from the position of the Jewish-Christian tradition and the social encyclicals issued from the late nineteenth century. It also focuses on the risks closely associated with an imbalance of work and rest both on the level of an individual and also his/her surroundings. Finally, current problems and possible solutions from the side of the state, the employer, the society and the individual himself/herself.

The topic of this master´s thesis is a new building design of recreation centre in Lavičky and processing of project documentation for this building realization. This thesis is furthermore completed with two specializations. It deals specifically with a specialisation in the field of technical facilities of buildings – heating and air conditioning. The recreation centre is a complex of two units that will provide restaurant and accommodation services with leisure activities facilities. In one of the units there is designed an accommodation facility with smaller wellness area, in the other unit there is designed a restaurant. The estate where the units are located occurs in the north part of the village Lavičky. This locality is built up by family houses and apartment blocks. The architectural solution of the designed units follows on from the concept of simple country object where the object has the shape of rectangle ground plan and is roofed by typical saddle roof. The building of the restaurant and also the guest house is in the shape of rectangle and is roofed by double sheathed saddle roof with metal folded roofing in dark grey colour. As well it utilises modern elements of architecture as big window openings or dormers. The filling of the openings will be accomplished by wooden windows in natural shade. The façade of the units is designed in that way to match both unis together. It is solved by white façade paint in combination with cement splinter panels imitating wood or cement splinter panels in grey colour and is completed by outdoor wooden pergola or wooden storm porch. The wall base part is formed by mosaic façade in grey colour. The layout solution of the units follows on from operation requirements of the particular services and they are separated in space for customers and for operation space. This work deals with issues of business trips in primary schools that are provided by municipality in relation to the law No. 365/2011 Sb., that changes law No. 262/2006 Sb., Labour code, as amended and other related laws valid since January 1st 2012 that says empoyees cannot give up on their rights in advance. Based on assumption that travel expenses that must have been paid to employees in full are huge burden on school budgets. All the travelling with pupils becomes very expensive. According to connection between theory and practical use, all activities cannot be provided only at school and it's necessary that teachers travel with children to learn away from school. This work summaries the rules for reimbursement of travel expenses and reflects the views of headmasters at issues of business trips in primary schools.
