Real Options Analysis of Biopharmaceutical Research and Development Projects

Moc, Miloslav January 2007 (has links)

Vliv minulých disturbancí na současný stav vegetace a invazi Heracleum mantegazzianum ve Slavkovském lese / The effects of historical disturbances on current vegetation and invasive plant Heracleum mantegazzianum in the Slavkov forest

Breburdová, Vendula January 2013 (has links)
The thesis deals with the differences in floristic composition of the vegetation in abandoned villages in the Slavkovský les forest and surrounding open landscape. Due to complex historical events, the villages were abandoned and demolished by the army. Vegetation survey took place in 13 completely destroyed villages, and since the vegetation in villages consists of a mixture of woody and treeless cover, the reference vegetation in the surroundings was selected to include both types of habitats. Total number of species, number of families, Ellenberg indicator values, number of archaeophytes and neophytes and representation of life forms were compared for the floras of villages and their surroundings. The flora of villages had more neophytes, phanerophytes and higher indicator values for nutrients and soil reaction. Species' positive fidelity and percentage frequency were calculated from the synoptic table. Indirect ordination plot (NMDS) and PERMANOVA test confirmed the differences between floristic composition in destroyed villages and their vicinity. The second part of the thesis explores the differences between floristic composition of plant communities by Heracleum mantegazzianum in the same two types of habitats. Based on 50 phytosociological relevés, the total number of species, number of...

Předpovědi spotřebitelského chování v eshopech / Predicting purchasing intent on ecommerce websites

Vařeka, Marek January 2020 (has links)
This thesis analyzes behavior of customers on an e-commerce website in order to predict whether the customer is willing to buy something or is just window shopping. In addition the secondary model predicts, if the customer is going to leave the e-commerce website in next few clicks. To answer this questions different frameworks are tested. The base model used is the Logit model. The base model is compared with more sophisticated methods in machine learning - with neural networks. The best results were yielded by Recurrent neural network - the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The results of the analysis confirm importance of the click stream data and calculated features that track user behavior on the e-commerce website, type of the page (product, category, information), product variance and category variance. The thesis emphasizes practical implications of this models. Two possible practical implementations are presented. The models are tested in novel ways to see how would they perform if implemented on the real e-commerce website.

Strategies in aboveground space occupancy in herbs from disturbed habitats / Strategies in aboveground space occupancy in herbs from disturbed habitats

BARTUŠKOVÁ, Alena January 2012 (has links)
Disturbance is an important phenomenon affecting plant lives and shaping plant strategies in disturbed habitats. A variety of ecological concepts on individual plant response to injury has been proposed for specific natural ecosystems or growth forms. In central Europe, man-made habitats are often cases of disturbed places, so the aim of the thesis was to apply four chosen concepts on them. The thesis is composed of four original studies performed in two model ecosystems: recurrently disturbed ruderal place and regularly mown central European meadow. The occupying of the aboveground space after a disturbance event was studied here either as renovation of biomass or architecture. Regenerative strategies in herbs occupying disturbed habitats were described and confronted with concepts proposed originally for ecosystems subjected to natural disturbance regimes.

Problematika poruch chování žáků ve školním prostředí, zvláště agresivita a šikana, možnosti jejich prevence / Problems of behavioral disorders the pupils (students) in school environment, especially the aggressiveness and vexation, the posibilities of their prevention

VONEŠOVÁ, Pavla January 2009 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with behavioural problems of pupils in a school setting, particularly with aggression and bullying, as well as the possibility of their prevention. It consists of a theoretical part, a practical part, and appendices. The theoretical part treats behavioural problems in pupils, presenting the separate disorders in all their possible forms, accounting for both internal and external factors triggering them, explaining their causes and the conditions under which they occur, and, finally, surveys the possibility of their prevention and treatment. The practical part uses a questionnaire designed by the author of the thesis and discussions conducted in schools to identify the most common types of behavioural disorders. The results of the research are presented in charts and graphs and are complemented by data obtained in the discussions. This part is concluded with a thorough analysis of the data. The appendices contain real-life examples of behavioural problems encountered by teachers, the minimum prevention programme implemented by the basic school in Jistebnice and its evaluation for the school year of 2008/2009, the crisis management scheme of the same school, and additional materials relating to the topic.
