Imigrační a integrační politika Francie - v nadnárodní, národní a lokální rovině / Immigration and Integration Policy of France - at the Supranational, National and Local Level

Seidlová, Markéta January 2012 (has links)
The thesis analyzes immigration and integration policy of France at the three different levels (supranational, national and local), while the choice of France was inspired by the fact that this country has among the European ones the longest tradition of receiving immigrants. The work is based on theoretical and conceptual approaches to international migration as well as on immigration and integration policies. In case of theoretical and conceptual approaches, it was mostly inspired by the concept of Heckmann' four dimensions of the process of social integration (Heckmann and Schnapper, 2003; Bosswick and Heckmann, 2006), by the Entzinger' and Biezeveld' (2003) assessment of integration as the resulting state and especially by Alexander's (2007) classification of policies implemented by local authorities, which allows as one of rare concepts to compare policy-making at the national and local level. From the methodological point of view, two regions which best suited the preliminary requirements on different share of immigrants in population on each territory and the difference between "city in rural area - metropolis" were chosen: Paris (or more precisely its 14 districts) and seven cities in the region of Basse-Normandie (Caen, Hérouville-Saint-Clair, Cherbourg-Octeville, Flers, Alençon, Argentan...

Paříž ve francouzských, českých a amerických turistických průvodcích (1918-1939) / Paris in the French, Czech and American tourist guidebooks (1918-1939)

Rudová, Lenka January 2016 (has links)
in English This Master's Thesis deals with guidebooks about Paris published in France, Czechoslovakia and the United States of America between the years 1918-1939. It analyses how the French capital city is presented in the guidebooks and how far the representation differs according to the country of publishing. The first two chapters deal with the modern history of tourism up until the interwar period and with the formation of major collections of guidebooks. The following chapters use a comparative perspective to analyse three major aspects of tourist guidebooks about Paris: itineraries; recommended places and monuments (the so-called "must- sees"); and global images of Paris. The analysis reveals that the country of publishing had only a limited impact on the content of the guidebooks; rather, the books largely respected established rules and patterns within the genre.

Pařížská a vídeňská kytarová škola a jej í přínos / Parisien and Viennese Guitar School and their Benefits

Moučková, Michaela January 2012 (has links)
As the title would suggest, the goal of my master thesis was to build the complete arch that would hold at the time of its brightest shine, at the times of Parisien and Viennese school. From my own opinion is this epoch of guitar, allocated by the end of classicism and the early romantism, in the universe of music, one of the most remarkable. This attractiveness is proven epecially thru the giutar literature of that time, that with its beauty, imaginativeness and permanent artistic recensy, is with no doubt the most significant. The first chapter is devided betwen the two subchapters. It pictures social-political and cultural situation of the turn of 18th and 19th century. In the first subchapter, I briefly capture the manners of changes of musical speech, predetermining then the speech of guitar composers of early romantism. Then in the second subchapter, I notice the most important genres and musical forms, preferred especially at the end of the 18th century and the beginning of 19th, from which our previously surveyed guitar schools were born. In second chapter I summarize the form of the early romantic guitar of the beginning of 19th century. I notice here the most significant names of master guitar builders and characteristics of their type of work. In following next two important chapters, 3rd and 4th, I talk about the most important modern guitar composers of Viennese and Parisien school of that time. Thru the short biographies and significant milestones of each personalities mentioned, I cite selected pieces for guitar, which by its meaning overcome typical expectations. The next subchapter then picks up the most influential contemporaries and followers who affect collaterally with both mentioned guitar schools, though not involved within them. The conclusion then in a few sentences points at the importance and unimaginable value of the guitar music of the first half of the 19th century, which has a worldwide merit revolutionary influence up to now.

Literární podoby měst: Paříž a Praha / Images of Cities in Literature

Baštová, Kristýna January 2017 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to look at the issue of the modern big city from the second half of the nineteenth century, when the knowledge of this new phenomenon began to form, to approximately first half of the twentieth century. The process of the development of the big city shall be studied by comparing two diverse urban areas: Prague and Paris. We shall focus mainly on two authors - Charles Baudelaire in the context of Paris, and Richard Weiner linking both Prague and Paris context in his work. The analysis of both authors shall be approached using scientific literature on literary image of the city. The city shall be looked as an ambivalent area that forms the existence of a modern human being fundamentally and that produces an entirely new type of experience and interpersonal relationships that need to be artistically expressed in a new way.

Katedrála v současnosti / Cathedral today

Nováková, Eva January 2020 (has links)
The main topic of the Diploma thesis is a complex design to rescue cathedral Notre-Dame in Paris. The work is firstly focused on the reconstruction of the structure including its collapsed parts and preserving a link to the destructive fire in 2019. The mainstay of the thesis is a design of new roof space and its use by broad public. Due to uncertainties about the structure stability disrupted by the fire a great emphasis has been put on the weight reduction of the newly built roof structure. The design makes a genuine attempt to be sensitive with respect to the spiritual function of the cathedral, thus the public roof access is separated from the cathedral itself thanks to a newly built underground spaces that are also included in the design.

Koncept místa v kontextu transatlantických transformací: socio-kulturní aspekty proměn vybraných metropolí v průběhu 20. století / The Concept of Place in the Context of Transatlantic Transformations: Socio-Cultural Aspects of Changes in Selected Cities during the 20th Century

Mozr, Tomáš January 2019 (has links)
This thesis deals with the concept of place and its transformation in the context of transatlantic transformations that still till nowadays stood aside the interests of the professional community. Representative place in the thesis is an example of the american bar, where the institution symbolized the newly established cultural elements gradually penetrated into the whole society and to this extent it could be viewed as a passenger concept venue. The main pillar of the thesis is to take into account sociocultural, economic, demographic and political aspects of bar environment as a peculiar manifestation of transatlantic communication. The key question to the concept of place is therefore whether the European continent was in the interwar period under a wave of Americanization, which in various locations showed a totally unique way that reflected the rising standard of living, while within the United States shaped this culture again by different way. On the other side, we meet with the complicated situation in the form of "dry" America and "thirsty" of Europe, or whether it was just an extraordinary manifestation of transatlantic relations and interaction, which would have thus secondarily been demonstrated modifications to the original concept in a European environment. The thesis is designed on...
