Vývoj výkonnosti evropských juniorských medailistek z let 2000-2008 v plavání / Evolution of the performance of European junior medalists from the years 2000-2008 in swimming

Title: Evolution of the performance of European junior medalists from the years 2000-2008 in swimming. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to find out if the swimmer who won a medal at the European Junior Championship in the period 2000-2008, continue swimming career for the next five years. The period of five years was set to get adulthood of competitors and unification length exploration of all competitors. Methods: For obtain the informations we have chosen the method of study documents - scorecards. Because of theme of thesis was the collection of data taken from European Junior scorecards in the years 2000-2008, the European Championships at the SC in the years 2001- 2013, from the Olympic Games in 2004, 2008, 2012. Results: Outcomes of our research showed that the more than half of competitors that have succeeded at the European Junior Championships in 2000-2008 failed to qualify for any additional European Championships in a SC. At the final evaluation of the collected informations, we found that only less than one fifth of the competitors were able to qualify at the European championships in 2000-2008. Based on our research, we can deduce that most of the medalists from MEJ don't continue in their swimming careers in adulthood. Keywords: swimming career, high performance, swimming...

My dissertation involves teaching students in elementary schools. The task of my theoretical portion is retaining basic swimming lessons for children in swimming schools. The practical portion is focused on the findings of the children's abilities based upon the output and input test of basic swimming skills. Another part of the practical portion involves creating a twenty hour educational program and design the classroom's cirrculum. Between the main methods of my research, it involves observing children, and scoring their abilities to accomplish basic swimming skills with comparing obtained data. The aim of this work is to find the most common mistakes in children of younger school age in swimming technique crawl. Another aim of the work is to eliminate mistakes in the technique of the given swimming method based on the elaborated training plan, in the range of sixteen hours. An integral part of the work will be to map the distance traveled at the beginning of monitoring and then at the end of the application of training. The theoretical part deals with the issue and description of the swimming crawl. The practical part of the thesis consists of recording and subsequent evaluation of individual errors according to the description of children's swimming technique. I will use the methods of observation, scaling, testing to evaluate the results and I will use the statistical method of data processing. The results of the work mostly correspond with the description of the child's technique of the crawl.

Title: Evolution of the performance of European junior medalists from the years 2000 - 2008 in swimming Objective: The aim of the Thesis is to find out whether swimmers who won a medal at the European Junior Championship in the period 2000-2008 continue swimming careers for the next five years. Methods: We chose the method of data analysis to describe the process of swimming careers. Data were obtained from scorecards of the European Junior Championships 2000 - 2008, European Championship in short pool 2001-2013 and the Olympic Games 2004, 2008, 2012. Results: Our survey shows that 70% of swimmers after their medal success at the European Junior Championship in 2000-2008 managed to qualify for the upcoming European Championship in the period. Analysis of collected data shows that 25% of competitors achieved medals at the European Championships in the years 2001-2013. Based on our research we can deduce that the most of the medalist from the European Junior Championship do not continue swimming careers in their adulthood. Topic: The Factors Influencing Early Termination of Swimming Career in China Goals: We studied a number of young Chinese swimmers who experienced early retirement. Great attention is paid to the reasons why Chinese swimmers ended their careers at a relatively young age. The goal of this thesis is to find out reasons that make Chinese swimmers choose to end their career during their top-performance period and at a much younger age compared with their counterparts worldwide. Meanwhile, finding potential solutions to the situation is also considered as one of the goals of the thesis. Methods: On the basis of literature review, in this study, we collect the characteristics of Chinese swimmers who have experienced early intensive specialized training by conducting observation, interviews, and questionnaires. Results: The number of Chinese swimmers who took early retirement increased incredibly during past twenty years. According to the interviews and the results of the questionnaires, the reasons why Chinese swimmers tend to finish their career at a relatively young age can be classified as follows: 1. Title: Swimming Aids in the Swimming Classes for Mentally Disabled Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to identify the effectiveness of swimming aids in the education of mentally disabled. The objective was to collect information from the lectors of swimming classes for mentally disabled people in the Czech Republic. Finally, the data obtained from the questionnaire could suggest the use of floatation aid or other swimming aid during the process of learning how to swim and move in the water. Methods: A method of a questionnaire was used to collect the information: selected swimming lectors specializing in swimming of disabled were invited to fill it out. Answers were analyzed and interpreted in the results section of the thesis, and were supported with tables. Results: Author's research has shown that the inclusion of mentally disabled in swimming classes has progressed. However, in the Czech Republic it was impossible to focus solely on mentally disabled as the swimming classes usually involve people with other disabilities as well. The use of an assistant during the swimming classes was very common. Author confirmed the preference of certain swimming aids among the lectors, and on the other side, some aids were no longer used. The aim of the this thesis is to map the compulsory lessons of children of younger school age in the Central Bohemian Region. It also focuses on the question of teaching the first method of swimming in individual swimming schools, on the teaching methods used, and as well on the education and length of practice of their teachers in these schools in the choosen region. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the history of swimming lessons, the legislation of swimming schools, the importance of swimming, the swimming methods taught in basic compulsory swimming lessons and the characteristics of children of younger school age. In the practical part, we should compare the level of individual swimming schools in the region in compulsory swimming lessons, as well as the components that can affect this lessons. At the same time, we should map the teaching of individual swimming methods and teaching methods in these swimming schools in the Central Bohemian Region.
