Rozšíření české dubové standardní chronologie o letokruhové křivky ze subfosilních dubových kmenů z Polabí

Jelínek, Michal January 2017 (has links)
Subfossil trunks are unfossilized woods which are discovered rarely in the Czech Republic. The aim of this work was to find, sampled and dated subfossil trunks from the Polabí region. Available Czech and foreign standard chronologies were used for dendrochronological dating of tree-ring series. Simultaneously, earlier sampled subfossil trunks from the study area were assembled. The chosen tree-ring series were used to extension and improvement of the Czech oak standard chronology. Selected samples, which were not possible to dendochronologically date, were sent for radiocarbon dating. For a purpose of this work, 122 new subfossil findings were dendrochronologically processed from the Polabí region and three samples were prepared and sent for radiocarbon dating. The major part of subfossil trunks was identified as an oak and only 5 samples as an elm. In total, 96 samples were successfully dated mostly into two periods: 3500 - 3200 BC and 133 BC - 155 AD. In Kostomlátky location, the oldest oak subfossil trunk in the Czech republic was found the tree-ring series covers the period 8181 7971 BC. Thanks to these subfossil findings, the Czech oak standard chronology could be extended.

Minulost a současnost krajiny bývalé rybniční soustavy Opatovického kanálu / History and present state of the landscape of the former fish pond system in the drainage basin of the Opatovický kanál channel (Central and Eastern Bohemia)

Leglerová, Anna January 2019 (has links)
This work is focused on the dynamics of landscape change of fish pond system in Polabí region, specifically the drainage basin of the channel Opatovický kanál. Theoretical part provides information about origin, development and present state of fish pond system. Experimental part provides the mapping of ponds in five time periods covering the epoch between the 18th and the 21st century. Information about ponds in the 16th and the 17th century are provided as well but without pond areas. The reason for their absence is insufficiency of sources. Development of the area and quantity of ponds is discussed as well as land use and land cover change on the extinct pond areas. Finally, application of the fish pond development knowledge in landscape planning and revitalization are discussed based on the information gained by the mapping and research. Key words: fish pond systems, land cover, land use, landscape changes, Polabí region, drainage basin of the channel Opatovický kanál

Osel domácí - hospodářské zvíře nebo domácí mazlíček? (Chov a uplatnění oslů v Polabí - případová studie) / The donkey - a livestock or a pet? (Breeding and use of donkeys in Polabí lowland - a case study)

Diblíčková, Eliška January 2014 (has links)
Donkeys have been useful helpers to people especially at transporting burdens and in agriculture for thousands of years. Nowadays they make livelihoods of rural as well as urban inhabitants over all continents easier. The use of donkeys in agriculture and transport is vanishing in developing countries due to the mechanization. We know only little about how and why people keep breeding of donkeys in developing countries. Theoretical part of the thesis tries to summarize previous basic knowledge about breeding and using donkeys. It focuses on domestication of donkeys, their use in history in different parts of the world, current position of donkeys and partly on relations between men and animals from the view of Human-Animal Studies. A research in a part of Polabí lowland is added. The main practical aim of the thesis is to take a look at the phenomenon of breeding donkeys in the Czech Republic in the present and bring any findings about why do people breed donkeys in modern times in this developing country. Research finds how are donkeys bred, what reasons lead breeders to get donkeys and what their real use is. The thesis contributes to popularization of this theme among experts and laymen and suggests methodology for research of breeding donkeys in other areas as well.

Srovnávací studie fluviálních jezer středního Polabí horní Lužnice a horní Svratky / Comparing Study of Fluvial Lakes in Middle Part of Elbe River and Upper Parts of Lužnice and Svratka River

Havlíková, Petra January 2011 (has links)
COMPARATIVE STUDY OF FLUVIAL LAKES IN FLOODPLAINS OF THE ELBE, LUŽNICE AND SVRATKA RIVERS Petra Havlíková ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis was to specify key differences in chemistry and biota (zooplankton communities) among fluvial lakes in three regions of Czech Republic: "střední Polabí" (central part of the Elbe River on the territory of Bohemia), "Horní Lužnice" (the upper part of the Lužnice River on the territory of Bohemia), and the Svratka River near Milovy (upper part of the Svratka River). The 10 studied lakes of the three regions differ in size, geology, shading, the influence of the river, and the level of anthropogenic impact. The following hypotheses were tested: 1) The chemical composition of the water in fluvial lakes is significantly different in different areas (floodplains). In the central Elbe River floodplain, there are the highest values of conductivity and concentrations of organic matter and nutrients. Fluvial lakes of the Svratka River floodplain near Milovy show the lowest level of these parameters, and fluvial lakes of the upper Lužnice River occur between the two previous regions. 2) The chemistry of fluvial lakes that have contact with the river through surface connection is significantly influenced by the river, and differs from the chemistry in fluvial lakes without any direct...

Návrh revitalizace naučné stezky "Údolím Labe" a jeho ověření a využití v praxi na ZŠ / Proposal for Revitalization of the Nature Trail "Through the Valley of the Labe River" and its Verification and Use in Practice at Primary Schools

Hrozányová, Martina January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the didactic use of the educational trail through the Elbe Valley for students of the 2nd grade of elementary school. The main goal of the thesis was to create a topic for the practical use of the existing educational trail through the Elbe Valley and at the same time to prove that excursion as an organizational form of teaching is thanks to its versatility an effective tool in the process of education and despite many difficulties to implement it it is worth the effort. The theoretical part includes the characteristics of the educational trail and its surroundings, the purpose, function and organization of the excursion and the inclusion of the science excursion in the Framework Educational Programmes of Basic Education. The second part of the thesis is a research - it contains a description of the author's worksheet and testing methods, i.e. pretest/posttest and attitude questionnaire. These were used on a pilot group of elementary school students participating in the excursion. The results of the survey show that the excursion can be perceived as an effective and at the same time popular form of teaching, through which it is possible to increase the effectiveness of teaching science at elementary school. Their validity is affected by a small number of...

Obodritský státotvorný proces ve středoevropské dimenzi (789-1178) / Obotrite Proces of State-forming in Central European Dimension (789-1178)

Tomášek, Jan January 2013 (has links)
Key Words Polabian Slavs, Polabian area, Obodrite, Populus, Gens, Nacio, State, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Obotritic confederation tribes Abstract The thesis analyses and interprets the key events in the state-forming process of so-called Obotritic confederation tribes in 789 - 1178. It focuses on the analysis of written sources, which serve as a basis for three models of inter-tribal units in Polabian area. The thesis argues against the traditional evolutionistic point of view, which considers the confederation tribes to be the predecessors of early medieval states. The main focus of the analysis is put on the starting point form which the Obotritic state-forming process originated. The main question is whether the Obodrite, upon their first appearance in written history, were more federation of tribes or one large tribe, whose break-up at the turn of 9th and 10th century started a new phase of the process. For the next period, the thesis introduces unique model of so-called tribal state, created by the combined effects of various factors, such as location, political situation, social changes in 11th and 12th century etc. The inner and outer factors that lead to the break-up of the Obotritic tribe state in 1270s are discussed in the same manner. The last part of the thesis is an analysis of later...

Lužičtí Srbové a společnost Pojizeří a středního Polabí v době první Československé republiky / Lusatian Sorbs and the Society in the Regions of Jizera and Central Elbein the Period of the First Czechoslovak Republic

Futtera, Ladislav January 2016 (has links)
Between the years 1931-1934, both in the region of Jizera in the area between Semily and Mladá Boleslav and in the region of Central Elbe between Kolín and Nymburk, eight subsidiary unions of the Czechoslovakian-Lusatian society "Adolf Černý" were founded. On three other places, namely in Český Brod, Kouřim and Lysá nad Labem, the attempts to establish the local unions failed. Nonetheless, the area consequently became the second most significant cultural centre as well as the meeting point of the Lusatian Sorbs in the inter-war Czechoslovakia, the first one being Prague. It was regularly visited by the Lusatian Sokol gymnasts or choirs, and Lusatian-Sorbian children as well as university students spent their holidays there. It is therefore no surprise that the Mužský Hill near the city of Mnichovo Hradiště became the location of a demonstration in support of the Lusatian Sorbs which took place there in July 1933 as a reaction to a wave of persecutions in Germany. Due to the fragmentary nature of the sources, the topic of the following thesis is based primarily on the regional press, the Sorbian press and the journal Českolužický věstník, called Lužickosrbský věstník since 1931. There is only one complete archive which remained intact, namely the one of the Semily union of the Czech-Lusatian society...
