Kompenzační cvičení a jejich využití v lyžařském oddlílu / Compensation exercises and their use in a skiing club

Kmochová, Klára January 2013 (has links)
The objective of this thesis is to examine the presence of the poor posture or the muscle imbalances at younger school-age children. Children do actively sports in a ski club for a long time; they also have a year training plan. Stationary functions and muscle activity in physiological position were investigated by physiotherapist who indicated some poor posture and muscle imbalances. On the basis of that examination there were recommended some compensatory exercises that can help to adjust or to eliminate detected imbalances. Recommended exercises became a part of the club training program, but the main part was practiced at home. According to the entrance and final examination of the participants we can assess the positive influence of the compensatory exercises to muscle imbalances and the children musculoskeletal system. Considering the results of the thesis we are able to proclaim that the long-term exercises can completely eliminate muscle imbalances. The contribution of this thesis has an irreplaceable importance for the work with children in the ski club.

Zjištění nejčastějších funkčních poruch pohybového systému dětí mladšího školního věku, konkrétně v 5. třídách na základních školách v okrese Tábor / Determining the most common functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system of primary school children, particularly in 5th grade at elementary schools in the district Tabor

POPOVIČOVÁ, Žaneta January 2018 (has links)
This graduation thesis deals with the occurrence of the most common functional disorders of the locomotor system in children in 5th grade at elementary schools in the district of Tábor. The research was implement on twenty-two primary schools. In total, 786 children from the 36th grade in the Tábor District were monitored and evaluated. The task of the thesis was the processing of literary research based on the study of Czech and foreign literature. In addition, obtaining the approval of school principals and pupils' parents to conduct research. As part of our research, we used the test method using standardized tests for examination of body posture, according to Matthias and Jaros and Lomicek. Part of the research was also the measurement of the pupils' weight and height and the subsequent calculation of the BMI index. The collected data were processed into tables and the frequency of the faults was evaluated in the graphs. Overall results showed different values of posture assessment. According to Jaros and Lomicek, nearly 20% of children had a perfect body posture, good 72%, badly less than 8%, and very bad holdings appeared in 1.5% of the investigated. Matthias's test showed nearly 70% of good body posture, 29% of pupil posture defective and 1% defective posture with fixed deviation. The most common functional disorders of this research group include primarily enlarged lumbar lordosis. This research has confirmed the importance of everyday physical activity and compensatory exercise in the fight against functional disorders.

Hodnocení motorické výkonnosti a držení těla u dětí mladšího školního věku / Assessment of motor performance and body holding in young school-age children

Pinkasová, Lenka January 2018 (has links)
Title: Assessment of motor performance and body holding in young school-age children Objectives: The aim of this thesis is the assessment of motor performance, body holding and basic information concerning movement activity in young school-age children and to reveal any possible interrelations between these data. Hypothesis: 1. The volume of movement load in young school-age children affects their motor performance and body holding. 2. Motor performance evaluated by a modification of the UNIFITTEST has a significant correlation with body holding in young school age children. Methods: In order to determine the level of motor performance of the children, I used a modification of the UNIFITTEST (Měkota et al., 2002), while I also evaluated their basic somatic parameters. Their body holding was evaluated according to Mathias (Hošková and Matoušová 2007), Jaroš and Lomníček (Hošková and Matoušová 2007) and Adams's Test (Haladová and Nechvátalová 2005). Information about the frequency of the children's sports activities and their lifestyle, I collected with the form of a short survey. The research group consists of 19 boys and 11 girls with an average age of 9 years old (age range 8-11 years - by 1.1.2018), mean body height of 1.4 m (σ=8,2 cm) and mean body weight of 36.5 kg (σ=9,1 kg). Výskyt vadného držení těla u žáků základních škol v okrese Příbram / The incidence of poor posture at the primary school in the district of Pribram.

WALENKOVÁ, Veronika January 2011 (has links)
The causes of musculoskeletal disorders, at present affecting a considerable pro-portion of the adult population and leading to poor posture, are to be looked for as early as in childhood. In recent decades an enormous increase in poor posture in the children of younger and older school-age has occurred, which is in most cases the result of a bad lifestyle. The lack of physical activity, an inappropriate school regime, unsuitable school furniture or heavy backpacks the children carry on their backs every day are the in-fluencing factors. Another aspect that can lead to poor posture in children is a relatively high number of children with flat feet. An inappropriate lifestyle and one-sidedness of modern life also leads to obesity and thus the restriction of movement in children. In my thesis I focused on poor posture in pupils of selected primary schools in the district of Příbram. The monitored group was children aged 8-15 years, attending 3-9 primary school grades. The purpose of my diploma thesis was to assess the prevalence of poor posture in primary school pupils in relation to their lifestyle and physical activity, to survey the risk factors leading to poor posture in these children, and to map the connection of poor posture in primary school children with prevalence of flat feet in children. In relation to the purpose I stated three hypotheses, assuming that children with a wrong lifestyle and an insufficient physical activity are more prone to poor posture, that the children influenced by more risk factors suffer more often from musculoskeletal disorders and poor posture and also that the children with flat feet are more predisposed to poor posture. To conduct the research, I chose the methodology of quantitative descriptive study through questionnaires. The research was carried out in two schools differently specialized, one of the schools is focused on mathematics and computer science and implements the program the Health Promoting School (Primary School Jiráskovy sady in Příbram), the second is focused on sports, particularly volleyball (Primary School Pod Svatou Horou Příbram). A total of 340 children from both schools were addressed by identical question-naires. The questionnaire was anonymous and the questions were directed primarily at these children lifestyle assessment. The questionnaire contained 37 questions in total, focused primarily on the principles of healthy lifestyle, physical activity, leisure activi-ties, school furniture, the school work regime and the prevalence of poor posture and flat feet. The return rate of the completed questionnaires was 85,3%, which means 290 questionnaires from the two schools. Based on the results from the completed questionnaires, I compared the two groups of examined pupils in terms of their compliance with the principles of healthy lifestyle, the prevalence of poor posture and the prevalence of flat feet.

Posturální funkce a motorické dovednosti dětí s vadným držením těla / Postural fuction and motor control in children with poor posture

Pelánková, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on two conditions that typically occure in childhood - poor posture and developmental coordination disorder. The theoretical part summarizes recent information on these diseases focusing on their etiology, prevalence, prognosis, methods of assessment, diagnosis and treatment. The main aim of the practical part was to evaluate the motor control of treated children with poor posture in comparison with children from the general population. The research group (13 children, mean age 9.85 years) and control group (16 children, mean age 9.94 years) were assessed using Movement Assessment Battery for Children 2. We found no significant difference between motor skills of treated children with poor posture and motor skills of children representing the general population. We also analysed whether treated children with poor posture reported less physical activity compared with the general population. By gathering data from questionnaires (completed by parents of tested children), no statistically significant difference was found. The difference was neither detected in test of posture and postural functions, where we investigated how poor posture of treated children can influence the results of the test.
