Hrazdirová, Vladěna January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis entitled "Evaluation of the influence of parents on the size of a foetus at the time of birth" focuses on evaluating the maternal and paternal relationship to the size of a calf of the Friesian breed in the agricultural enterprise VOS Zemědělců, a.s. Velké Opatovice. The research part focused on measuring the dimensions of a mother (height at the withers, width of tubers costae, width of tubers sacrale, width of tubers ischiadicum), on the lactation order, date of insemination, date of calving and the course of birth. In calves, the dimensions of the width of the head, length of the head, birth weight and sex were observed. Year-long measurements were followed by statistical processing and evaluation of the data based on the results obtained from the measurements of individual cows, heifers and calves during birth. The diploma thesis analyses a database of the number of bulls and heifers for the reference period for which the birth weight and the course of birth were assessed. Furthermore, it assesses the influence of the lactation order of breeding cows on the size of offspring. The breeding cows were divided by the lactation order which is in accordance with their age. Another indicator monitored was the duration of gravidity and its relation to the size of the calf. The breeding cows were divided into 3 groups with various duration of gravidity. Twelve bulls with 312 offspring were included in a more detailed analysis. The relationship of a breeding bull in relation to the duration of gravidity, the size of offspring and the course of birth was assessed. The evaluated results are given at the end of this thesis.

Kodyšová, Eliška January 2013 (has links)
Title: SOCIAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CHILDBIRTH EXPERIENCE AND THEIR IMPACT ON EARLY PARENTAL SELF-EFFICACY OF FIRST-TIME MOTHERS Author: Eliška Kodyšová Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague Supervisor: PhDr. Simona Horáková Hoskovcová, PhD., Department of Psychology, Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague Abstract: Transition to parenthood is a significant transition period in a woman's psychological ontogenesis. An important predictor of parenting abilities and well-being is parental self-efficacy. Recent studies show that mothers' parental self-efficacy can be influenced by childbirth satisfaction, which, in turn, is predicted by social-psychological aspects of childbirth experience, especially support by caregivers. In a longitudinal 2-phase research, we have followed parental self-efficacy determinants working around 1st childbirth as well as childbirth experience determinants. Using multiple linear regression analysis we determined that although parental self-efficacy is mainly prenatally determined, caregivers' support and baby's soothability can impact it positively. We have also confirmed the decisive influence of caregivers' support on childbirth satisfaction in our sample, which is representative for Czech primiparas. ...

All these changes transform the perceived quality of life of a woman after childbirth. A qualified community midwife is a medical professional who is able to provide eruded and holistic health care to women after childbirth in their own community. Aim of work: the main objective of the empirical part of the work was to describe the importance of community care of women in postpartum period. Methodology: The empirical part of the dissertation thesis is built on Mixed-Method Design. We use the sequential combined research design of the QUAN + qual type. In the quantitative research survey, we set the main goal of describing the impact of community care of woman in postpartum period on their overall health and quality of life. The research file (N = 123) consisted of two groups of respondents. The group studied (with the community care of woman in postpartum period, N = 56) and the control group (without community care of woman in postpartum period, N = 67). We used 3 tools to gain research data: The MGI questionnaire, the MIFR Scale evaluation range and the own design questionnaire. The results of the research survey were statistically processed, the 0,05 significance level was used (5 %). The aim of the qualitative research survey was to describe in detail the experience of women with community care of woman in postpartum period. The qualitative research included 5 women having obtained community care of woman in postpartum period. These women were interviewed face to face by means of semi-structured interviews. Results and discussions: there was no statistically significant difference (p = 0,873) in the results of the state of health between women with community care of women in postpartum period and women without this care. There was no statistically significant difference (p = 0,539) in the results of breast-feeding at the end of the sixedage between women with community care of women in postpartum period and women without this care. The statistically significant link has been recognized between the recommendation of community care of woman in postpartum periodand the group of women who have benefited from repeatedly taken community care of woman in postpartum period (p <0.001). Most women who have benefited from community care of woman in postpartum period (58,9 %) were completely satisfied with this care, nothing else would need in care. Women in 45,7 % of replies reported that community care of woman in postpartum period helped them as psychological support. The results also brought alarming findings that 49.2 % of women who had not used this care did not know about this service! The resulting quality of life Index of women after childbirth reached an average value of 7,5 ? 1,38. Living area the relationship with its own mother has proved to be original compared to the other research studies and we propose to conduct further research investigations. A qualitative inquiry revealed that the community care provided by the midwife in the postpartum period was the most beneficial for women in terms of providing the so-called mother arms. Which means promoting, sharing, hearing and the respectful guiding through postpartum period. Conclusion: Dissertation provides a comprehensive view of the issue of community care of woman in postpartum period. STUDIUM VLIVŮ PŮSOBÍCÍCH V REPRODUKČNÍM PROCESU U PRASNIC SE ZVLÁŠTNÍM ZŘETELEM K PORODNÍMU OBDOBÍ

ZIMOLOVÁ, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
The aim of the thesis was to reveal reserves for improving the piglets breeding and to reduce losses by death. The highest number of all (13.52 pcs) and live born (11.88 pcs) piglets were achieved in gilts embedded in more than 247 days of age. Gilts covered within 224 days of age showed the lowest average number of piglets born (13.13 pcs). Statistically, however, has not been demonstrated difference (p > 0.05) between age groups of gilts during the first recess in the number of piglets born. Effect of order of litter on litter size was found to be statistically highly significant (p < 0.01), especially between the first and third parturition. The highest number of born piglets was found on the third litter (14.95 pcs) and lowest in the first litter (13.3 pcs). Most live piglets born were at the second litter (14.03 pcs) and least live born piglets were found on the 5th and higher litter (11.57 pcs). Among the number of piglets born alive in the individual litters was also evaluated statistically highly significant difference (p < 0.01). In assessing the impact on the duration of labor litter size was found to be a higher number of piglets born at night on average by 0.33 piglet more, but the number of piglets born alive was found higher in childbirth during the day (childbirth with assist). During statistical evaluation was not demonstrabled difference between the number of all even in the case of piglets born alive in viewpoint of the time of birth. From the perspective of the impact of the length of the interval from weaning to sows on litter size was found to be a higher number of all (14.83 pcs) and live (12.79 pcs) piglets born of sows recessed for more than 6 days after weaning. From the viewpoint of the impact sequence of litter for childbirth was detected statistically detectable difference (p > 0.05). In each of the litters was observed an average of 75 % births through the day. When evaluating the number of live births, depending on the number of piglets, born piglets showed a statistically highly significant relationship (p < 0.01) with high tightness on dependence (R = 0.83). Between the number of all born piglets and born alive was found a direct correlation.
