Vliv sukcese a rekultivace na výskyt žahadlového hmyzu (Hymenoptera: Aculea) na odkališti / Effect of succession and reclamation on wasps and bees (Hymenoptera: Aculea) on combustion by-products deposits

Eštok, Pavel January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis summarises the available information about the importance and significance of post-industrial areas from the environmental point of view and information about natural conditions of the Central Bohemian Uplands (České středohoří) in the region of the town Louny. The thesis concerns especially the characteristic areas of the combustion by-products deposit of Třískolupy I and Třískolupy II which are connected with the Počerady brown coal power plant. The practical aim of the thesis is to evaluate the effect of the different ash-material management on the presence of the aculea Hymenoptera (Hymenoptera: Aculeata), regarding especially its diversity and the presence of the rare species. In the thesis, reclaimed areas have been compared with the areas in which spontaneous succession is proceeding. For the data collection, hymenoptera have been trapped in coloured plates filled with the salty solution of water and detergent, so-called Moerickeho pan traps. From particular sampling sites 638 hymenoptera individuals have been collected through the monitored period of time and classified into 98 species and 13 families. Based on the collected samples it was possible to compare the differences between the succession and the reclamation sites. On the areas developing spontaneously more species and individuals were observed. In total, 26 rare species from Red List were recorded.

Vývoj periferií v postindustriálním období v Česku a Rakousku na příkladu Slavonic a Waidhofenu an der Thaya / Peripheral development in the post-industrial period in the Czechia and Austria with the examples of Slavonice and Waidhofen an der Thaya

Horáček, Michal January 2014 (has links)
The thesis is focused on the analysis of peripherals for the presence of post-industrial phenomena. We are mainly focusing on the outer periphery. The object is to reveal the main factors and barriers that affect peripheral development and help periphery overcome their positional disadvantage. Analysis of a survey conducted in the municipalities of Slavonice and Waidhofen an der Thaya indicated fundamental differences in relation to the post-modern values between these two geographically close locations. Structured interviews with community representatives bring out certain details on cooperation and the barriers to individual development. We can conclude from the results that the different social behaviour of peripherals caused by distinct historical and political development has not grown closer to the Austrian model even after 25 years of democracy in the Czechia. Key words: periphery, post-industrial period, development, cooperation

Sopoušková, Petra January 2017 (has links)
The diploma project deals with postindustrial area on the east of the city centre of Brno. Due to regulatives there is supposed to be new main road. This solution is not ideal. The aim of this project is to search how the lokality should look like without it. The other topic is new usage of postindustrial structures for living in the city. I am looking for options how to create public space where walking is emphasized. I am also interested in topic of gallery house as a structure with wide range of semipublic and semiprivate spaces. Using this topics I am trying to present my own opinion on contemporary city.

Postindustriální město - Špitálka Urbanistická studie rozvoje města Brna na východ od centra / Postindustrial city Urban development study of Brno - east of the city

Mihaľák, Peter January 2018 (has links)
ŠPITÁLKA CONCEPT Urban design of Špitálka is trying to create a new residential neighborhood near the center. The combination of old residential and multifunctional buildings is logically complemented by a new one. New residential units replace the post-industrial parts of the emerging brownfield. This does not mean, however, an extensive rehabilitation of the historical building structure. Every object is thoroughly analyzed, considered for its new fulfillment. The basics are connections between old and new buildings. Keeping the high-rise building and many historic buildings creates a prerequisite for preserving Genia loci of that place to the fullest extent possible. At the same time, with new interventions, it is meaningfully and functionally clarified, logically linked, creating new specifications and qualities of space for a good living in the city. It is also about improving the cycling and pedestrian traffic to the city center, street views of Brno's dominant landmarks (Petrov, Kostel sv.), enlarging of the uncomfortably narrow Cejl street, or cultivating the public space with greenery (alleyways, parking lots, parks, . Individual urban blocks offer variable options for typological solutions. The place has the ambition to create a diverse residential neighborhood for private owners, tenants, social and cooperative housing. The goal is not to create formal gestures, but to adequately supplement and sensitively replace the broken parts of the neighborhood.

The main subject of thesis The Role of Culture in the Process of Regeneration of Post-industrial City is to introduce the theoretical concept of regeneration of former industrial cities through culture and evaluate the impact of culture on the regeneration of post-industrial city. The first part is aimed at general issues of culture in regional development and attractiveness of the city, there are mentioned basic concepts related to the issue and defined trends in the development and regeneration of post-industrial cities through culture. The second part is aimed at the process of transformation of the city of Ostrava and contains an analysis of the current situation in the city. The City of Ostrava has prepared a strategic document presenting the revival of city through culture as a factor of improving its external image, but also a source of regional identity and the cultivation of the community. Empirical verification of the contribution of current policies to the regeneration and development of Ostrava city through culture is conducted through a questionnaire survey. The results show that the citizens of the city noticed visible changes towards the improving the quality of life in a city, however, if the city intends to continue in its successful strategy of regeneration, emphasis should be placed on citizen participation, their feedback and utilization of previously completed cultural investments should be improved by connection of existing cultural infrastructure.
