NIMBY efekt: Postoj obyvatel v případě plánované výstavby bioplynové stanice / Not In My Back Yard effect - attitude of local people to a planned construction of biogas plantNovotná, Miroslava January 2012 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is a research of the "Not In My Back Yard" effect, a negative attitude of local people to a construction of a new and potentially dangerous project in their vicinity. The thesis quantifies strength of the NIMBY effect in Městec Králové, a town where a biogas plant is planned to be constructed. The hypothesis is that the strength of the NIMBY effect is higher for the people who live in a higher proximity to a planned construction than for the people who do not.The hypothesis is evaluated based on data gained by an own survey conducted among residents of the town.Quantification of the NIMBY effect is more frequently a subject of research of foreign studies; empirical studies of biogas plants are rather rare. From this reason I have implemented a study of population of Městec Králové and tried to prove whether presence of the "Not In My Back Yard" effect can be indicated.

Postoj laiků k dárcovství orgánů / Public attitudes to organ donationUrbanová, Markéta January 2018 (has links)
Organ transplantation is a method of treatment of damaged or missing organ by replacement by a new one that is removed from a donor. Donors may be not only living people but also dead people after cardiac arrest or people with brain death. The aim of the study was to assess the attitude of laymen to organ transplantation. The quantitative research used questionnaires which were distributed since 25th October - 31st December 2017 to non-medical adults older than 18 years living in the Czech Republic. The results demonstrated that the laymen have basic knowledge which organs and tissues can be used for transplantation in humans. Total 110 respondents answered that organs can be removed from people with diagnosed brain death. Knowledge of legislation was a surprise. Over one half of respondents knew about implied consent with organ removal after death and knew at least one possibility how to deny post-mortem organ harvesting. Generally, the public lacks interest in organ donation. People dislike registration unless necessary and dislike discussion concerning death which is a symbol of pain and suffering. Majority of public agree that there is need for more education in the field of organ transplantation and donation. They would prefer a specialised lecture or discussion with medical professionals....

Postoje budoucích učitelů k chemii / Attitudes of future teachers to chemistryPospíšilová, Barbora January 2020 (has links)
1 ABSTRACT The diploma thesis deals with the attitudes of university students, who will become chemistry teachers, to chemistry and their views on various areas related to chemistry. This work follows the author's bachelor thesis, in which the public's opinion to chemistry was ascertained using a questionnaire survey. In the diploma thesis we focused on finding out attitudes of a group of future chemistry teachers through interviews. The theoretical part deals with the role of chemistry in today's world, chemophobia and the topic of attitudes. The practical part is based on interviews with respondents. This part contains basic information about the research - selection and number of respondents, questions used in the interview, the procedure for data collection and data analysis. One of the key findings was that respondents often lack the perspective and vision of chemistry in context. These are important qualities and skills that a chemistry teacher should have. Furthermore, the importance of teachers in the process of forming a relationship/attitude to chemistry was confirmed - teachers with a broader perspective lead students to a positive relationship to chemistry and they are able to enthrall pupils by chemistry. Key words: chemistry, opinion, attitude, chemophobia, interview, chemistry teachers

Postoj učitelů k nové kurikulární reformě / Attitude of teachers to the new curriculum reformZelená, Lucie January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis is designed as quantitative research study. The aim is to find out the opinion and attitude of teachers from Czech primary schools concerning the new curriculum reform, which has officially come into use in the form of Framework Educational Program in 2005. The new system of curriculum documents replaces the former educational programs based on centrally imposed curriculum and thus broadens the autonomy of teachers and school institutions, who were assigned to prepare their own school educational program. Besides the changes both in the main objectives of primary education and to some extend in the educational content, there has also been a shift in the role and expectations related to the teacher profession. The main purpose of the study is to find out and describe teacher's prevailing opinion of such change in the educational concept and its benefits at the level of compulsory education. Another aim is to present, how teachers perceive the barriers and inner motivations related to these reform changes in schools, and how these barriers affect the overall attitude towards the reform. The research will also show how the changes in schools since the formal reform introduction are evaluated and which parts of the reform realization and to what extend are considered problematic. At last, the...

Bezdětnost v České republice, Spolkové republice Německo a Rakousku / Childlessness in the Czech Republic, Germany, and AustriaHodovníková, Ilona January 2012 (has links)
Childlessness in the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria Abstract The main goal of this thesis is to examine and compare the state of childlessness in the Czech Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany and Austria. In Germany particularly, childlessness has become a phenomenon and a society-wide issue. Austria, where childlessness is at a high level in comparison with other European countries is in a similar situation. Data analysis in this thesis showed that childlessness is more widespread in the former West Germany and Austria than in the Czech Republic and former East Germany. This difference is caused, among other things, by the pro-natal policies adopted in the former communist countries which led to a temporary increase in total fertility rate. Further, the thesis deals with the perception of parenthood and childlessness in society on the basis of the European Values Study 2008 international survey and with the relationship between the ideal and preferred number of children on the basis of the Eurobarometer 2006 international survey. The results of the surveys show that childlessness cannot be considered as a new kind of lifestyle, and that the preferred family form still involves two children. Considerable part of the study focuses on the causes and consequences of childlessness and its possible...
