In my diploma thesis, I deal with five socio-moral topics and with the attitudes of members of The Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren (ECCB) towards them. These topics are: 1) Marriage and family 2) Homosexuality 3) Ethnical minorities 4) Dispute over the legacy of communism 5) Refugees and immigrants. First part of the thesis is dedicated to the official statements of the synod and the Synodal Council. Furthermore, this chapter reveals the process leading to adopting these positions. This rather descriptive part is followed by a sociological survey of opinions on the issues, mentioned above, held by members of ECCB. The aim of the survey is to figure out, whether these opinions are in agreement with the official statements. The final chapter is dedicated to data evaluation. The main goal of my diploma thesis is to find out what issues are for ECCB members easy to agree on and in which cases are the opinions rather individualized. Domácí násilí z pohledu studentů Zdravotně sociální fakulty Jihočeské univerzity / Domestic Violence from the Perspective of Students at Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of University of South BohemiaTUZOVÁ, Aneta January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the issue of domestic violence. At present, we speak about domestic violence more often, however, education is always a significant benefit, because stereotypical assumptions still remain in our society. They are often one of the obstacles which result in the impossibility to eliminate this socially pathological phenomenon. In the theoretical part of the thesis I describe the current status, forms, signs, progress, and the most common myths and prejudices of the public on the issue of domestic violence. In conclusion of the theoretical part I focus on prevention of socially pathological phenomena, and helping the victims. For this diploma work were established the following three hypotheses: H1: "Students at University of South Bohemia perceive the aggressor as the initiator of domestic violence." H2: "Students at University of South Bohemia perceive the aggressor as an uneducated person." H3: "Students at University of South Bohemia are convinced that domestic violence is more frequent with another ethnicity." In the empirical part I characterize the selected group. The research involved a total of 512 students. They include 450 women and 62 men. They were the students of Bachelor's and Master's study programmes of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia, in full-time and extramural form of study, and different age categories. The research was lead by the method of quantitative research, using a questionnaire survey with the semantic differential. Students had the opportunity to write down their positive or negative view of the victim and the offender or to remain impartial. The aim of the thesis was to find out the opinions and attitudes of students attending Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at University of South Bohemia to the victim and perpetrators of domestic violence. Most commonly, the students perceive the victim as a submissive, introverted, timid woman, who is not satisfied with this situation. They perceive the perpetrator as a dominant individual, who tends to jealousy. The stated hypothesis H1 has been confirmed. Hypotheses H2 and H3 have not been confirmed, and as a result, the alternative hypotheses have been accepted.

This diploma thesis provides information how students of chosen faculties of the University of South Bohemia evaluate their teachers, what attitudes they have developed to them, what is particularly important for them and which requirements they impose on the teachers. The theoretical part deals with attitudes, teaching, personalities of a teacher and a student, a current tertiary education in the Czech Republic and mutual relations of students and educators. The empirical part presents a quantitative research that I realized through a semantic differential. Here I describe characteristics of the population and the research sample. Furthermore, I bring results of obtained data and information about students´ attitudes to their teachers. The data collection took place in March 2012 in a form of questionnaires. The research was conducted at the University of South Bohemia, Pedagogical, Health Social and Theological Faculties. Fields of study of similar focus were chosen within each of given faculties. In total 240 questionnaires were distributed. The return was 75%, thus altogether 180 questionnaires. Three hypotheses were defined for the research. The first hypothesis assumed that the preferred field of study positively influenced students´ attitudes to their teachers and the conducted research confirmed this hypothesis. The second hypothesis stated the students studying a prestigious field of study evaluated their teachers more positively than students studying a not prestigious field of study. This hypothesis was not confirmed. The third hypothesis was that women-students were less critical in the evaluation of teachers than men-students. The carried out research did not confirm nor this hypothesis. The thesis can be used to compare attitudes of women-students and men-students from individual faculties of the University of South Bohemia and for publishing activities.

Postoj sester a porodních asistentek k preventivním prohlídkám / Attitude to Prophylactic Check-ups among Nurses and MidwivesLENKEROVÁ, Petra January 2013 (has links)
Abstract The thesis focuses on an insight into the attitude to prophylactic check-ups among nurses and midwives. The theoretical part deals with health, prevention, prophylactic check-ups, characteristics of attitudes and education. The role of nurses and midwives in prevention, definition of competences and lifestyle problems in relation to healthcare job performance is not omitted. The aim of the thesis was to find out whether nurses and midwives themselves regularly have prophylactic check-ups and how they approach the information on necessity of prophylactic check-ups in the public. Quantitative method was applied to the research. An anonymous questionnaire research among nurses and midwives working in primary care and in hospitals was used as the data collection technique. The total number of questionnaires returned from the respondents was 270, 91 were returned from primary care and 179 from hospitals. None of the questionnaires had to be rejected for incompleteness. A pilot study was performed within the research, where 10 questionnaires were handed out evenly to the primary care sector and to the hospital sector to verify whether no serious problems with their completion occured. Thanks to their correct completion they were included into the main research. The monitored hypotheses were statistically evaluated by means of the Pearson's Chi-Square Test and Fisher?s Test with low values in contingency tables. The fact whether participation of nurses and midwives in prophylactic check-ups differs with age was evaluated. The frequency of regular prophylactic check-ups was 62 per cent at the age below 40 and 98 per cent at the age over 40. Age has significant influence on medical prophylactic check-up attendance. Education level does not have statistically significant influence on prophylactic check-up attendance. The research has not completely refuted difference in prophylactic check-up attendance according to workplace type. Nurses and midwives working in hospitals have prophylactic check-ups less regularly than those working in primary care. Nurses and midwives in primary care are demonstrably older and they go to prophylactic check-ups more regularly. The difference in approach to prophylactic check-ups among nurses and midwives according to workplace type was monitored. Nurses and midwives have positive attitude to prophylactic check-ups regardless of the type of their workplace. They belong to the most frequent activities they apply to maintenance and improvement of their health condition. Nurses and midwives are first of all motivated to regular visits of prophylactic check-ups by the care of their own health. Statistical level was achieved in the tests for the total number of nurses and midwives regularly attending prophylactic check-ups and educating patients. The research has confirmed that nurses and midwives that regularly visit prophylactic check-ups have more positive approach to providing information to clients-patients than those that do not undergo the prophylactic check-ups. Nurses and midwives in hospitals pay more attention to the disease itself and to prevention of possible complications in patients than to general prevention and prophylactic check-ups in their educational activities. With regard to the set goals the final evaluation of the research has confirmed that nurses and midwives have positive approach to prophylactic check-ups and try to visit them regularly. Respondents from the primary care are older and visit the prophylactic check-ups more regularly. Prophylactic check-ups have priority in health condition support and maintenance for the respondents. The research has shown that the respondents working in primary care as well as those from hospitals educate themselves in the field of prevention and prophylactic check-ups and are knowledgeable about legislation applicable to prophylactic check-ups.

The aim of the Master Thesis is to identify the proportion of authoritarian personality of future social workers. In line with the objective of the work, the research question has been formulated in the following way: On what factors does the proportion of the authoritarian personalities of future social workers depend? Based on the research question the following hypothesis has been determined: Students of the programme Social Work in Public Administration are more authoritarian than the students of the programme Rehabilitation Psychosocial Care of Handicapped Children, Adults and the Seniors. Students of part-time studies are more authoritarian than students of programme Rehabilitation Psychosocial Care of Handicapped Children, Adults and the Seniors. With the increasing age, the proportion of authoritarianism grows. The quantitative research strategy, which was implemented using the questionnaire method through a standardized questionnaire, was selected to achieve the goal. The questioned team consisted of future social workers, namely students of Faculty of Health and Social Sciences in České Budějovice programme Social Work in Public Administration and Rehabilitation Psychosocial Care for Children, Adults and Seniors. Translation of F-scale was taken from the publication of T. W. Adorno. Data analysis were evaluated using descriptive statistics in MS Excel and hypothesis testing was performed in the SPSS statistical program. The research shows that in the first hypothesis statistically significant relationship has been captured in the properties of conventionalisms, authoritarian submission, authoritarian aggression, anti-intraception, power and toughness, destructiveness, projectivity and sexuality. In the second hypothesis, it was tested whether the students studying part-time are more authoritarian than students of full-time studies. A significant relationship was noted in attributes of subordination and authoritarian aggression. In the third hypothesis, it was demonstrated that a statistically significant relationship was detected in the attributes of subordination, authoritarian aggression, and superstition. The outputs of the Master Thesis research can be provided as a feedback for students or social workers. The results could be of interest to the students of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice.
