Manipulace s dějinami v historických filmech Otakara Vávry se zaměřením na trilogii Dny zrady, Sokolovo a Osvobození Prahy / Manipulation with history in historical Otakar Vávra's movies focusing on the trilogy Dny zrady, Sokolovo a Osvobození PrahyHodura, Pavel January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the manipulation of history in the historical film trilogy Dny zrady, Sokolovo and Osvobození Prahy, directed by Otakar Vávra. This thesis tries to define, on the basis of a comparation of historiographical works of the communist and modern historiography, the amount of historical distortion presented in these films. The normalization regime endeavoured to revise the historical knowledge of the second half of the 60s and to resume the tendencies of the communist regime of the late 40s and 50s and attempted to create a myth of perception of mordern national history, in which the positive influence of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia in the 30s and 40s was emphasized. Moreover, this myth of the perception of history aimed to discredite figures that were unwanted by the regime and to emphasize friendship with the Soviet Union. Films and tv-series were an appropriate tool to form the perception of history among the people.

Vývoj vegetace v okolí Roztok u Prahy z pohledu antrakologické analýzy / Anthracological perspective on vegetation history in Roztoky u PrahyPrach, Martin January 2019 (has links)
This thesis researches forest history and human impact on it in prehistory and early Middle Ages by means of soil charcoal analysis, i.e. pedoanthracology. It focuses on a site called "Roztocký háj" with long-term human settlement near Roztoky u Prahy in central Bohemia. Pedoanthracology brings information about past woody vegetation that is very local and without much anthropogenic influence. On the other hand, archeoanthracology focuses on charcoal originating from archeological excavations directly from human settlements. These charcoals are therefore formed by human behaviour and provide general view on woody vegetation in wider surroundings of the site. Comparing results of these two approaches in Roztoky is allowed by long-term archeological excavations. They provided previously analyzed and partially published charcoal dataset. Newly obtained pedoanthracological dataset brings finer spatial scale, allows to find out the effect of local conditions on the charcoal spectra and also allows identification of possible purposefully selected taxa in the archeoanthracological assemblage. Another part of this work describes present-day vegetation around the soil profiles and examines it's possible continuity with the past vegetation. 4 soil profiles provided quite species-rich (17 taxa) charcoal...

Vliv procesu suburbanizace na demografický vývoj a dostupnost základního vzdělávání v zázemí Prahy / Influence of the suburbanization process on demographic development and availability of primary education in Prague's hinterlandBenáčková, Kristýna January 2014 (has links)
The objective of the thesis is to evaluate the current situation of capacities of primary schools compared with the number and the distribution of pupils in compulsory education age in Prague suburban municipalities. In the analysis the area of Pragueʼs hinterland (districts Praha-východ and Praha-západ) was examined. The paper assesses the impacts of suburbanization on demographic development and on primary education in this region. Insufficient capacities of primary schools are significant problem in last few years in this area. In connection with uneven development of the region the problem does not affect all municipalities with equal intensity. Serious problems were identified in the particular area of the northern, southern and south-eastern hinterland of Prague. The strategy of the municipalities to ensure the sufficient capacities of primary schools depends on whether the municipality establishes its primary school or not and it is also connected with the availability of basic education for residents of the municipality. Transformace lokálně ukotvené komunity v čase: vliv Faceboku na udržování vztahů / Transformation of a Local Community in Time: Influence of Facebook on RelationshipsTobrman, Michal January 2012 (has links)
The main aim of this thesis is to describe and analyze the nature of relationships of the originally local community and see what impact online social networks have on these relationships. The local community in this study is represented by one class of selected pupils from the primary school Na Smetance in Prague 2. For the main analysis were used mainly qualitative research methods: survey questionnaires and structured interviews with members of the screened community. The results showed that the transformation can be seen not only in the fragmentation of the local community into smaller groups of individuals with strong ties, but also in the influence of online social network Facebook, where relationships among members of the originally local community are maintenained. The analysis of strength relations between former classmates suggests that social network created by Facebook is essentially generated by weak ties, which are however indispensable for the creation of social capital. This thesis has contributed to the further understanding of the recent local community development. Keywords: local community, online social networks, Facebook, locality of Prague 2, social capital

This paper, based on archival and period media research, tries to describe the relationship between the Electrical Enterprises of the City of Prague and the Czechoslovak avant-garde in the 1920's and 1930's. The Electrical Enterprises of the City of Prague helped to carry out several exceptional film and intermedia projects through their regular advertising contracts, including the film Praha v záři světel (Prague by Night, 1928), Zdeněk Pešánek's light-kinetic sculpture (1930) or the short experimental film Světlo proniká tmou (Light that Penetrates Darkness, 1931). There are also screenplays in the company archives which have never been realized but demonstrate much about the relationship between advertising and art in the interwar period. The author emphasizes the role of the public's general fascination with electrification, artificial light in the modern city and new forms in the collectively shared public space.
