Myslivcová, Klára January 2016 (has links)
The profession of general intensive care nurse is specific in its high demands on physical, technical, ethical and mental abilities of each individual. The thesis focusses on the mental stress of the nurse, analyses potentially high-risk professional situations the nurse encounters and proposes methods for their management. The topic of mental stress and its handling has, and will, have important impact on the field. The goal of the thesis is to map the psychologically challenging situations that all of the 129 nurses approached in a smaller local medical facility considered as difficult to handle and thus have impact on their ability to cope with a demanding job. The situations are defined and evaluated using predefined hypotheses. The results of an anonymous quantitative questionnaire clearly show that the largest levels of stress and discomfort are caused by situations which are "directly connected to medical care provided by the general intensive care and accident and emergency nurse". The least discomfort is perceived in situations described as "indirectly connected to intensive care / A&E nurse duties", such as irregular working patterns and work during public holidays. The results are presented in a graphical form. We conclude by observing that unlike large-scales studies that commonly...

A profession as a nurse is one of the most responsible and the most hazardous jobs. According to the statistic data a discipline of health care has the great number of "occupational diseases" cases and they are caused by overdone physical load and mental stress. The thesis targets are the assessments of the load related to the type of work, the awareness of nurses about the prevention against the undue physical load and the mental stress, the motivation and the satisfaction for the nurses at their work. I used two types of questionnaires for my research, the first one was non standard which was focused on the individual targets and the other one was the standard Maslach Burnout Inventory questionnaire focused on finding a degree of burnout in individual cases. The research was carried out in General University Hospital and in Thomayer University Hospital in Prague. There were compared two departments- a department of internal medicine and a department of surgery in intensive care. Psychologická prevence nehod / The psychological prevention of work injuries

PAPAJOVÁ, Hana January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with psychological prevention of work injuries. About two milion of people die worldwide as a result of work injuries and illnesses originating in work. If I think about this statistic data, I have to ask myself basic questions: what is the cause of such a high mortality in today´s over-technical time, what are the main causes of injuries and how can we anticipate them? These questions are also the main issues of this work. The first chapter deals with work injuries, particularly with the way we should proceed when it comes to such an injury - what the employer´s and employee´s duties are. Rhe next sub-chapter focuses on the responsibility for the harm of work injuries, work injuries compensation such as the earning loss substitution, smart money, specific costs connected with treatment and compensation for damage to property. The second chapter is aimed to the labour protection. Firstly, it deals with the labour protection on a general level, then with the BOZP training and related basic documents, OHSAS 18001 Certifikace systému managementu BOZP - contributions of the certification and "Safe enterprise". The last sub-chapter goes in the work inspection authorities - keeping duties given by legal formulas, activities of the work inspection authorities, the scope of their activities and the authorization of the work inspector. The third chapter is about the work injuries prevention. The first sub-chapter focuses on the employer´s duties, the next one is about mental burden and its display, also the safe demands on machines and appliances, examples of causes of work injuries and more particular principles of labour protection in the food industry. The fourth part has been created in a quantitative way. I have asked nine meat manufactories to complete a questionnaire I had made myself in a way to draw conclusions and fulfill the goals of the thesis and answer the questions set at the beginning. The company, which came out the smallest accident, I did an interview, which makes, I obtained information regarding their approach to the issue. The labour and health protection are neccessary conditions in all work branches. Every employer has a lot of duties to their employees and the goal is to provide the workplace safe and with a minimal risk of work injuries. The most important issue is to pay attention to prevention from the very beginning.

Hodnocení psychické zátěže na vybraném pracovišti / Evaluation of psychical load on a selected workplace

MARKOVÁ, Veronika January 2018 (has links)
In recent years, the interest in mental strain has increased, mainly due to the increasing demands of the individual professions. The consequences of mental strain can also influence private life, so it is important to solve such situation. The diploma thesis deals with the psychological burden of the employees in a private company that produces CNC machine parts. The aim was to find out what the level of mental strain on all employees of the company is, using the method of quantitative and qualitative research. Three research questions have been identified. I have examined whether the demographic factors of the worker, the physical factors in the working environment and the way of rest after work affect the psychological burden. The investigation was carried out using three hypotheses. I assumed that a significant level of psychological burden would be present in relation to the age and that it would also vary by gender. I also expected that the differences in the level of psychological burden would be present depending on the length of the years worked in the company. A qualitative survey was conducted using sixteen open questions in a semi-structured interview. The results were divided into eleven categories and there was a mind map created for each of them. For better understanding of the mind maps, the data was extended by quantitative questionnaire research, which was implemented using standardized CBI questionnaires (Copenhagen Burnout Inventory) and the Meister questionnaire. Questionnaire survey was carried out at each workplace of the surveyed company. The data were processed statistically and graphically. Mixed research has not shown a significant level of mental strain on company employees. When compared the ratio of mental strain in relation to gender, it has shown that the strain on both men and women is the same. The length of employment in the company has not reflected into increased rates of mental strain.
