The aim of this diploma thesis is to chart the experience of family coexistence with a professional fire fighter. This diploma thesis consists of the information about profession of firefighting, possible risks associated with it, potential impact of this profession on family coexistence, the frequent specific themes that arose and coping strategies of fire fighter spouses. The study has a qualitative explorative design, semi-structured interviews with fire fighter spouses are conducted. A thematic analysis is used to analyse the data. The analysis identified several main themes in the data related to the family coexistence with the professional fire fighter, coping strategies of fire fighter spouses, the psychological service and the needs arose from the fire fighter spouses. This theoretical-empirical thesis discusses an issue of burnout among members of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech republic. The focus of theoretical part is given to the burnout syndrome, it's definition, risk factors, possible causes, it's gradual phases and diagnostic and measuring methods of the burnout syndrome. Further, the theses deals with possibilities of treatment of a burnout and preventive actions that could be taken on both sites of each employee and the organization. This is followed by a closer acquaintance of the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech republic, it's history, mission and basic competences. Afterwards, a profession of professional firefighter is described. Possible causes and preventive measures against the burnout syndrome at the Fire Brigade are examined. In the empirical part of this thesis the burnout syndrome among members of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech republic is investigated through questionnaires and personal interviews. At this point the thesis focuses on outbound firefighters and operational technicians with the aim to detect possible differences in incidences between those two groups and possible causes of the burnout syndrome among them. Further the aim is to assess the efficiency of the Psychological Services of the Fire Brigade and its preventive measures taken against work-related stress and burnout.

During eight months, once a week, the researcher remained at the Institution and sessions occured according to the spontaneous demand of those residing there. The theoretical reference was Person Centered Approach developed by north american psychologist Carl Rogers. After each session a narrative was built, containing the most significant elements of the clients' experience as apprehended by the researcher during the clinical event. Based on these individual narratives a synthetic narrative was built developing an interpretation of the meaning of the psychological service when offered to institutionalized elderly people. The results of this study indicate that making available a clinical psychological intervention of this kind - on duty service- in an elderly institution such as this one gave the elderly a unique opportunity of attention, characterized by an attitude of empathy and unconditional positive regard. The basic elements experienced by the clients were: a) they felt welcomed, respected and understood in their complaints and personal yearnings; b) they were able to regain the individuality they had lost in the process of institutionalization; c) they came in contact with their psychological necessities, beyond their physical needs; d) they had a sense of ligitimacy, of being capable of exercising more motivating activities that than those prescribed in their daily routine; e) they also imprinted new meaning to the process of aging, including the importance of sharing feelings and engaging in new projects. This research points to more wholesome alternatives to the care of elderly, who are at the brink of a future where they will be a significant portion of the population; in this way signalizing important challenges to be assumed by psychologists, both researchers and professionals. / Esta pesquisa objetivou compreender e interpretar fenomenologicamente a potencialidade terap?utica de atendimentos de plant?o psicol?gico, disponibilizados pela pesquisadora em uma institui??o de longa perman?ncia para idosos, localizada no interior do estado de S?o Paulo. A pesquisadora permaneceu na institui??o uma vez por semana, durante oito meses e os atendimentos ocorreram a partir da demanda espont?nea das pessoas que l? residiam. Dez dois dezoito idosos institucionalizados foram atendidos em sess?es individuais e tr?s em sess?es grupais. O plant?o tamb?m ocorreu durante o desenvolvimento de atividades rotineiras da institui??o. O referencial te?rico adotado foi a Abordagem Centrada na Pessoa, desenvolvida pelo psic?logo norte-americano Carl Rogers. Ap?s cada atendimento foi constru?da uma narrativa contendo os elementos mais significativos da experi?ncia dos clientes da forma como a pesquisadora os apreendeu no acontecer cl?nico. A partir destas narrativas individuais foi constru?da uma narrativa s?ntese contendo uma interpreta??o sobre o sentido do plant?o psicol?gico quando oferecido a idosos institucionalizados. Concluiu-se que disponibilizar uma interven??o psicol?gica cl?nica como o plant?o em uma institui??o desta natureza possibilitou aos idosos um espa?o diferenciado de aten??o, caracterizado por atitudes de empatia e considera??o positiva incondicional. Os principais elementos da experi?ncia vivida pelos clientes podem ser assim resumidos: a) sentiram-se acolhidos, respeitados e compreendidos em rela??o a queixas e anseios pessoais; b) puderam resgatar a individualidade perdida no processo de institucionaliza??o; c) entraram em contato com suas necessidades psicol?gicas para al?m das limita??es f?sicas; d) sentiram-se legitimados como pessoas capazes de exercer atividades mais motivadoras do que aquelas previstas na rotina di?ria; e) imprimiram novos significados ao processo de envelhecimento, inclusive a import?ncia de compartilhar sentimentos e empreender novos projetos. Esta pesquisa aponta alternativas para o cuidado integral ?s pessoas idosas no limiar de um futuro no qual ser?o parcela significativa da popula??o. Neste sentido, sinaliza desafios importantes a serem assumidos pelos profissionais e pesquisadores da ?rea de psicologia.

Options and application pastoral theology in posttraumatic team HZS CR. The thesis is divided into three sections. The first section dedicates to the process of developing psychological service in selected components of integrated rescue systém and the formation and other developing of teams who have to provide psychological assistance during some extraordinary events. It also pays attention to the theoretical cognition of stress problems, traumas and posttraumatic disorders. The significant chapter is the part that is concerned with communication which is the main resource while providing help. The second section dedicates to the practical theology, its origin and gradual development in Central Europe. They are listed two main concepts of developing the practical theology which are important for understanding next formation and the possibility of using practical theology in interdisciplinary activities. Analysis of the constitutive elements of the Church is the mainstay. Main attention is paid to diakonia and linking charitable service of the Church. The third and also closing part includes the practical verification findings via questionnaire. The results and comments gained thanks to questionnaire as well with theoretical knowledge and practice of professional life enable the final evaluation of the whole work. Post-crisis intervention care in situations of danger in the Police of the Czech Republic. The topic of this diploma thesis consists in taking a deeper view into post-crisis intervention care in the Czech Police. The primary goal of the diploma thesis is to verify whether in the Czech Police a functional system of post-crisis intervention care is created that policemen or also their families can use if necessary. Further, we were interested whether there are opinions, attitudes and prejudice among policemen concerning the use of post-crisis intervention care. Therefore, in the theoretical part the diploma thesis deals with basic psychological terms that are closely related to the field of post-traumatic care in the Czech Police and summarizes issues of psychological care in the Czech Police. The entire object of the research is mapping the current situation of providing post-crisis care to policemen, the degree of awareness of this service, attitudes of policemen to using this service and last, but not least, purposefulness and efficiency of this service. An integral part of the goal of the work was an analysis of factors that facilitate or complicate the process of providing post-crisis care and suggestion of possible measures to make its functioning more efficient as well as finding main causes of insufficient utilisation of post-crisis intervention care by policemen. In compliance with the goal of the thesis a quantitative survey was carried out and the most suitable methods were used in such a way that the specified goal could be achieved in the most efficient way. The results of the survey carried out by us have confirmed that in the Czech Police a functioning system of post-crisis intervention care is created that policemen can use if necessary. The survey has also indicated that policemen are sufficiently informed about the system of post-crisis intervention care and that this system corresponds to the needs of police practice. However, the survey has also revealed that negative opinions, attitudes and prejudice concerning the psychological service of the Czech Police persist in policemen's minds. Reducing these negative tendencies would certainly contribute to more efficient utilisation of this service.
