Implementace BI v oblasti prodeje a servisu automobilů / Implementation of BI in car sales and servicing

Gottwald, Karel January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis focuses on topic of business performance management realized through Business Intelligence application created on the basis of a balanced set of indicators within the Balanced Scorecard method. The first part introduces the reader with theoretical foundations. First, it describes the basic principles of the BSC method and meaning of dividing strategic objectives into four perspectives. Subsequently, it introduces the heart of BI - a multidimensional approach, displays the BI architecture and defines its components. At the end it compares the types of database systems. There is also a comparison of this thesis with other projects dealing with similar themes in the theoretical part. After the theoretical chapters comes a practical part which aims at design and development of BI applications for a real company so as to comply with the requirements of top managers and the corporate strategy. At the beginning it introduces a firm to which the project is applied. This is an existing organization operating in the area of car sales and services. The corporation is called under a fictitious name "AUTO a.s." in this thesis. In cooperation with its managers the SWOT analysis and strategic objectives is defined. This determines the key requirements for setting up the BI application. An example of a BI solution that allows managers to effectively monitor the development objectives, brings the main benefit of the whole work. For this purpose is built data warehouse, which is then filled with transformed data from source systems using Data Pump. Then, above the Data Warehouse, two OLAP cubes can be created. Presentation layer, created in MS Excel 2007, handles the interpretation of the results to end-users.

Návrh hydrodynamické ucpávky axiálního čerpadla s prstencovým motorem / Design of a hydrodynamic seal of an axial pump with an annular motor

Jančík, Kryštof January 2018 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a hydrodynamic seal of an axial pump with an annular motor, and it does so in three main thematic planes: research of current knowledge, simulation and experimental. The research section provides an overview of a broad problem of magnetic fluid seals (ferrohydrodynamic (FHD) seals), current developments in the field of simulation of internal flow in magnetic fluid and in the field of application of FHD technology in sealing liquids. It also covers a wider context of potential use for mechanical circulatory support systems that have had a significant impact on the proposed concept of a novel axial FHD seal. The remaining two thematic planes deal with his design and experimental testing.

Vysokohorská turistika u diabetiků s inzulinovou pumpou / Mountain trekking in diabetic patients treated with an insulin pump

Bytelová, Sophie January 2018 (has links)
Title: Mountain tourism for diabetics with an insulin pump Objectives: The aim of this study is to find out whether it is suitable for patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus treated with an insulin pump to undergo physical activity in the form of mountain tourism, as the more intense physical aktivity affects blood glucose levels and whether patients are able to work with advanced insulin pump functions. Methods: The work is conceived as an observational study of the Medtronic educational project. One day mountain hike trip of a distance about 30 km was attended by 40 patients (men and women) with diabetes aged 15-25 years. Non-invasive methods were used. The data was obtained by monitoring insulin pump probes, glucometers and continuous monitoring, which were further evaluated using the CareLink Pro software. Results: Physical activity in the form of mountain tourism is suitable for patients with DM1 treated on an insulin pump. 80% of the probands did not have a risk status of hypoglycaemia, and even though the determined normoglycemia for research was performed by a larger number of adults as opposed to children, this FA has a demonstrable effect on blood glucose levels. It also brings positive benefits for patients because they learn how to work better with advanced insulin pump functions....

Funkční charakterizace MDR pumpy Pdr5p zodpovědné za mnohočetnou lékovou rezistenci u kvasinky Saccharomyces cerevisiae / Functional characterization of MDR pump Pdr5p responsible for multiple drug resistance in yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae

Sayedová, Shirin January 2021 (has links)
One of the main reasons for the treatment failure of infections caused by pathogenic microorganisms is the overexpressing of efflux membrane proteins, which actively remove drugs from cells, leading to a phenomenon called multidrug resistance MDR. In this work, we focused on the functional characterization of the MDR pump Pdr5p in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We have verified that diS-C3(3) fluorescence method can be used to determine the binding sites where the substrates bind in the binding pocket of the pump ScPdr5p. We focused on the study of the ScPdr5p binding pocket using triazole derivatives: ravuconazole, voriconazole and fluconazole. Using disc diffusion assay, we showed that all three studied triazoles are substrates of the pump ScPdr5p. We have found that these structural analogs have a significantly different effect on the inhibition of the potentiometric fluorescent probe diS-C3(3) transport by the pump ScPdr5p, and also that ravuconazole and voriconazole compete with each other for transport by the pump ScPdr5p. We have used a fluorescent approach to study the binding of azoles to the binding pocket of pump ScPdr5p using benchmark substrates, that bind selectively to only one binding site in the binding pocket of the pump ScPdr5p, and we have supported the hypothesis that ravuconazole...

Mobilní domácí parenterální výživa / Mobile home parenteral nutrition

Votavová, Markéta January 2021 (has links)
A stationary or portable infusion pump can be used to administer home parenteral nutrition (HPN). The stationary pump (SP) must be fasten to the infusion stand, so patients administer infusions in night mode to maintain their quality of life and mobility in the daytime. However, administering the HPN at nighttime can cause complications. Conversely, the portable pump (PP) does not have to be fasten to the infusion stand and the infusions can be administered in day mode during activities, as the PP can be placed in a special backpack. The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the administration of HPN in day mode in patients with a PP and further to evaluate and compare the results of quality of life and liver function tests results in patients with a PP and a SP. HPN patients with a PP and a SP completed the HPN-QOL questionnaire in the nutritional clinic at the 4th internal clinic of the General University Hospital in Prague during outpatient visits. In addition to that, patients with a PP completed a questionnaire focused on the administration of HPN in day mode. Liver function tests results (total bilirubin, ALT, AST, GGT, ALP, cholinesterase and albumin) were obtained from patients' medical records. A total of 14 respondents with a PP and 14 respondents with a SP were included in the...

Měření výkonnosti podniku / Corporate Performance Measurement

Pavlová, Petra January 2012 (has links)
This thesis deals with the application of Business Intelligence (BI) to support the corporate performance management in ISS Europe, spol. s r. o. This company provides licences and implements original software products as well as third-party software products. First, an analysis is conducted in the given company, which then serves as basis for the implementation of the BI solution that should be interconnected with the company strategies. The main goal is the implementation of a pilot BI solution to aid the monitoring and optimisation of corporate performance. Among secondary goals are the analysis of related concepts, business strategy analysis, strategic goals and systems identification and the proposition and implementation of a pilot BI solution. In its theoretical part, this thesis focuses on the analysis of concepts related to corporate performance and BI implementations and shortly describes the company together with its business strategy. The following practical part is based on the theoretical findings. An analysis of the company is carried out using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) methodology, the result of which is depicted in a strategic map. This methodology is then supplemented by the Activity Based Costing (ABC) analytical method, which divides expenses according to assets. The results are informational data about which expenses are linked to handling individual developmental, implementational and operational demands for particular contracts. This is followed by an original proposition and the implementation of a BI solution which includes the creation of a Data Warehouse (DWH), designing Extract Transform and Load (ETL) and Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) systems and generating sample reports. The main contribution of this thesis is in providing the company management with an analysis of company data using a multidimensional perspective which can be used as basis for prompt and correct decision-making, realistic planning and performance and product optimisation.
