Japonská ekonomika: faktory vývoje a hosodářské cykly / Japanese Economy: Factors of Development and Business Cycles

Stuchlíková, Zuzana January 2008 (has links)
The dissertation focuses on the cyclical development of the Japanese economy, particularly from the beginning of the 1990´s. The objective of the thesis is to find, identify and explain the main factors that have caused stagnation and instability of the economy in this period. The author aims to make clear some basic ties in the Japanese economy and identify specific features of Japanese business cycles and sources of the GDP growth in the 1990´s and today (compared to the previous development and to some other developed countries). She also seeks to assess economic policy measures made by the Japanese governments and the Bank of Japan countering the stagnation and recessions and to sum up briefly the current situation of the economy and possible dangers for its future.

Co vysvětluje různé trvání velké recese napříč zeměmi? / What explains different duration of the Great Recession across countries?

Petrů, Vojtěch January 2020 (has links)
The research concerning differences in duration of the Great Recession is limited and inconclusive. We define duration of crisis as the count of years lost due to the crisis, and estimate the determinants of crisis duration on the dataset of 54 developed and developing countries. This thesis contrasts with previous literature by employing Bayesian Model Averaging (BMA) to accommodate for the large amount of potential explanatory variables and to address model uncertainty. Moreover, an innovative measure of export competitiveness, which accounts for the changes in non-price factors such as quality, is used. The results bring suggestive evidence of positive impact of developed financial markets, high share of private consumption and improvements in export competitiveness. We also find positive effect of fiscal policy stimulus once it is controlled for the feedback loop of uncertainty which appears when heavily indebted countries finance fiscal stimulus through issuance of additional debt. Lastly, it needs to be concluded, that the results are not robust to all prior specifications. In particular, the more restrictive Beta binomial model prior shrinks the statistical significance of aforementioned results heavily. Mladonický, Jakub January 2015 (has links)
Mladonický, J. Human resources management in energetics during Great Recession. Diploma thesis. Brno Mendel University in Brno, 2014. Remuneration with motivation theory is one of the most important areas in human resources management. The Great Recession theirs status only bolster up. This work was aimed to make a suggestion for lowering the impact to human resources using remuneration as motivation factor during economic crisis. Analysis of remuneration and labour productivity in energetics showed that well-adjusted remuneration system has the right motivation effect and productivity growth. Despite of decreasing labour productivity during the Great Recession, the well-adjusted Time Rate System had exceptional influence on labour productivity. The contributions of well-motivated employees are the key, to surviving during economic crisis with minimal impact to the human resources.

Koliba, Tomáš January 2014 (has links)
Koliba, T. Pokles dynamiky úvěrů v ČR po finanční krizi - Problém nabídky nebo poptávky peněz? Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2013. This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of credit crunch. It examines whether this phenomenon has striked the Czech credit market during the recession in 2008/2009. The empirical part of this work concentrates on time series analysis. Particularly, a linear regression model is created, that describes the determinants of credit supply and credit demand. Then, using Granger noncausality (exogenity), the work describes relationship between economic activity and credit volume. The outcome of this thesis is to recommend to the management of commercial banks, how to deal with decrease of credit volume in terms of a recession.
