HODNOCENÍ VLIVU NA ŽIVOTNÍ PROSTŘEDÍ {--} PŘÍPADOVÁ STUDIE VLIV TĚŽBY PÍSKU NA BIODIVERZITU VYBRANÝCH ORGANISMŮ A ÚČINNOST REVITALIZAČNÍCH OPATŘENÍ / ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT {--} A CASE STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF SAND MINING ON BIODIVERSITY OF SELECTED GROUPS OF ORGANISMS AND EVALUATION OF REVITALIZATION MEASURES

DUDA, Slávek January 2007 (has links)
The effect of sand mining on model groups of organisms (vascluar plants, beetles, amphibians and birds) was studied in South Bohemia. The studies were made in the next biotopes by model area sand pit Roudná II southern from Planá nad Lužnicí: unforested area (after mining), forest (on recultivated plots and seminatural forest) and water biotopes (depressions after mining). The next characteristics of biodiversity were determined: the diversity of communites, the frequency of protected, rare and vulnerable species. The protected species occur mainly in amphibians and birds. The suitable recultivation measures were proposed on the base of biodiversity studies.

Rekultivuotų sąvartynų, esančių Kauno rajone, dengiamojo sluoksnio tyrimas / Investigation of the condition of the cover layer of closed landfills in the Kaunas district

Makaveckas, Tomas 30 May 2012 (has links)
The most popular method of waste management not only in the world, but also in Lithuania, remains depositing waste in landfills. In Lithuania (according to the 2009 data) 90.6% of waste was deposited at the landfills. This work discusses the installation of the landfill, the procedures and recommendations of creating the final landfill covers. There was performed a research on four closed landfills in Kaunas district (Digriai, Gaižėnėliai, Miškiniai and Ilgakiemis) to find out the condition of landfill’s cover layer. According to the findings, conclusions about the condition of these landfills are made. The results show that not all landfills undergo recultivation in accordance with the rules and guidelines. Preservation of the clean environment, ecology and reduction of the environmental pollution is the major concern for the last decades and the most relevant question remains the proper waste management, optimization of the landfill network (as well as the complete abandonment of the landfills, because of different waste management policies, such as incineration). Still, Lithuania has to deal with old and disused landfills, so the proper way to close the landfill must be chosen, because poorly recultivated landfill can cause large ecological catastrophe.

GEOGRAFICKÁ CHARAKTERISTIKA MIKROREGIONU BECHYŇSKO SE ZAMĚŘENÍM NA PROBLEMATIKU GEOHAZARDŮ A PŘÍRODNÍCH RIZIK V ÚZEMÍ / Geographic characteristics of microregion Bechynsko focused on geohazards and natural risk in territory

DOLEJŠKOVÁ, Alena January 2011 (has links)
This thesis is focused on natural elements in the microregion Bechynsko,it describes and localizes geohazards (ecological hazards) and natural risks, It designs solutions for elimination of this problems. Designed management of this area leads to sustainable development and it is outlined on the basis of the own SWOT anylyze. In the end of my work I prepared sample case studies which are focused on special geohazards and natural risks and I suggest suitable landscape management and its recultivation.

Biotopové preference obojživelníků na vybraných lokalitách po těžbě vltavínů / Amphibian habitat preferences in selected localities after mining moldavites.

NĚMEC, Stanislav January 2013 (has links)
This thesis pursues amphibian biotop preferences in locations where moldavites were quarried in the past. Field work took place in two localities near Trhové Sviny. The first one is situated near the village of Slavče where an illegal extraction still occures,.The second locality is found by the village of Dobrkovská Lhotka. This locality was partially recultivated in 2010. The aim of this work was to establish which factors do influence different amphibian species in the both studied locations. There were found five various species of amphibians near the village of Slavče: the Common frog (Rana temporaria), the Edible frog (Pelophylax kl. esculentus), the European fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina), the European tree frog (Hyla arborea) and the Common toad (Bufo bufo). The results were statistically evaluated. Based on them it was established that the Common frog prefers the herb layer, the European Fire-bellied toad prefers semi shaded medium sized pools that do not dry up. The European tree frog and the Edible frog prefer large areas of pools and ponds. More over the edible frog demands ponds that are partially overgrown. The Common toad was represented only with one single individual. Therefore a statistical analasys could not be executed. The whole locality is negatively influenced by local inhabitants who gather here manure and organic waste from their gardens. On locality located near to Dobrkovská Lhotka was transformed from a mining landscape to a pond and three pools. All amphibian species that lived in the locality before reclamation were still present here. Occurrence of Common spadefoot (Pelobates fuscus) was confirmed by the unique finding of a tadpole. Statistical evaluation was not conducted due to the small number and variability of monitored sites.

Vodní a mokřadní lokality v povodí jezera Medard. / Water and wetland localities in the watershead of Medard quarry lake.

FAFÍLKOVÁ, Veronika January 2014 (has links)
I monitored the chemical parameters of surface waters in wetlands and watercourses in the vicinity of Lake Medard (newly filled residual pit after brown coal mining). The characteristics of surface waters were described by means of their physical, chemical and biological indicators. The values obtained were compared with normal surface waters in the Czech Republic. I also assessed water quality and determined eutrophication. The chemical composition was compared in space and time. The most important finding is the high variability of waters in a relatively small area. Another is that the examined surface waters do not usually exhibit the typical characteristics of acid mine waters. The locations of interest are characterized by high levels of dissolved solids in water. High concentrations of sulphates are the most problematic of the found anions. In the case of cations, the following dissolved metals had high concentrations: Na, Ca, Mg, Zn, Mn and Fe.

Mikrogravimetrický průzkum a monitoring podpovrchových nehomogenit / Microgravity survey and monitoring of subsurface inhomogeneities

Spěšný, Marek January 2010 (has links)
Marek Spěšný - abstract This thesis has the nature of a survey report of a specific area. The task was to localize with the help of microgravimetry anomalous places in an area of a by-pass road construction, where subsurface inhomogeneities may possibly exist due to subsurface and surface historical mining of ceramic clay. The gravimetrical measurements were carried out with a relative gravimeter Scintrex model CG-5 AUTOGRAV. After the first stage of the gravimetrical measurements and following two weeks of recultivation works our assignment was to verify the success of the first measurements by the means of repeated microgravimetric control measurements. The results from both stages of measurement were processed into a 4D gravimetrical form. The results of the 4D gravimetry displayed that contrary to the expectations, the measured gravity of most of the area of interest decreased as much as by 30 ?Gal. We conclude that this is due to the drainage of injected material beyond the recultivated mining area, which washed and carried away a portion of the existing material. Our proposition was also supported by results of repeated leveling, which discovered subsidence of the road at times by up to 3 centimeters.
