To analyze the participation of the neo-agricultural ones in the context, its consequences and implications is the pursued intention. Aiming at to extend the perception how much to the involved questions, they are boarded subjects as: globalization in the field, sustainable development, ecological economy. The enterprising expression is analyzed in its multiple and differentiated forms, as: production for market niches, agricultural tourism, plural, associative, as also some aspects pertinent politicians. Defined the planetary context and the enterprising expression, it is looked to draw the profile of the neo-agricultural one picking-up the influence of its insertion in the way. Its actions evidence an increasing process of social inclusion, propitiating better conditions of life for the set of places. From the perceived reality, how much to the possible effect of the recognition of this atypical exodus and to the integration of these actors to the politics of sustainable agricultural development are weaved. / Um novo ator social pode ser percebido no cenário rural da região serrana fluminense, os neo-rurais, empreendedores urbanos que se instalam no campo atuando em agronegócios ecologicamente definidos. Analisar a participação dos neo-rurais no contexto, suas conseqüências e implicações é o intento perseguido. Visando ampliar a percepção quanto às questões envolvidas, são abordados temas como: globalização no campo, desenvolvimento sustentável, economia ecológica. A expressão empreendedora é analisada em suas múltiplas e diferenciadas facetas, como: produção para nichos de mercado, turismo rural, pluriatividade, associativismo, como também alguns aspectos políticos pertinentes. Definidos o contexto planetário e a expressão empreendedora, procura-se desenhar o perfil do neo-rural captando a influência de sua inserção no meio. Suas ações evidenciam um crescente processo de inclusão social, propiciando melhores condições de vida para o conjunto de locais envolvidos. A partir da realidade percebida, são tecidas considerações quanto aos possíveis efeitos do reconhecimento deste êxodo atípico e à integração desses atores às políticas de desenvolvimento rural sustentável.
