Deformačně napěťová analýza proximálního konce tibie s totální endoprotézou / Strain stress analysis of proximal tibia end with replacementTekalová, Soňa January 2010 (has links)
This thesis deals with stress analysis strain proximal end of tibia with total joint replacements. The analysis is done on the basis of deformation characteristics of voltage, through the finite element method (FEM). We have developed two-dimensional models of the proximal end of tibia with tibial components total endoprosthesis (TEP), without loss and bone loss. Geometry model is created based on data obtained from computerized tomography, which were further processed in the program, Rhinoceros 3.0 and SolidWorks 2009th Computational solution was carried out by finite element method in Ansys Workbench 12.0. The model without loss of bone tissue was tested the hypothesis that the deformation is very small and there is no violation of the shank prosthesis. Due to loss of bone tissue is lost support to the tibial pulse in the proximal tibia and by a progressive increase in stress, which can lead to a breach of the shank total joint replacement. The analysis results show that, if the loss of bone tissue, so that the tibial part of the TEP will lose support, there is a crack stem total hip replacement due to stress.

Experimentální studium tření a mazání TEP kyčle / Experimental study of friction and lubrication in THRUrban, Filip January 2014 (has links)
This work analyzes problems of friction and lubrication of total hip replacement (THR). At first, experimental study of friction coefficient under various conditions was conducted using hip joint simulator based on principle of pendulum. After that, lubrication film development was observed, using colorimetric interferometry with head from THR and glass cup with respect of geometry and clearance to cups made originally for THR. With respect to research study [25] it was found that increasing contact conformity leads to increased film thickness. Also protein adsorption on articulating surfaces was observed. Thanks to adsorption 80 nm film thickness was measured even if relative surface speed was zero. Furthermore protein aggregation was observed on the border of contact zone, similar aggregations were observed by Myant et al. [29] or Vrbka et al. [25]. These aggregations are formed when lubricant is under shear stress and it can positively affect film thickness. If the relative motion of articulating surfaces is not sufficient, the protein layer can`t be refreshed enough and film thickness start decreasing. Coefficient of friction 0,13 was measured when lubricating film development was observed. Close to this value are material combinations metal on polyethylene and metal on metal.

Charakterizace sekundrnÄ vytvoench struktur v PN pechodech kemkovch solrnch Älnk / Characterization of Secondary Created Structures in PN Junctions of Silicon Solar Cellsicner, Ji January 2015 (has links)
This thesis describes the study and characterization of secondary created structures in PN junction of silicon solar cells. Secondary created structure is the term which means the structures created for the purpose of suppressing the negative influence of local defects and edges of the solar cell. This means in particular laser notches used to isolate the edges. Furthermore, the secondary created structure means modification defective area using focused ion beam milling. Theoretical part of this work deals with short introduction to the topic of solar cells. There are mentioned the physical nature of the solar cell and the technology associated with the issue of solar cells. Experimental section begins with a description of the experimental methods. For diagnostic methods were used both electrical (UI characteristics, noise characteristics) and optical methods (measuring local radiation - CCD camera, thermal imager, lock-in thermography). Furthermore, there was also used a scanning electron microscope (SEM) equipped with technology using Focused Ion Beam (FIB). Sequentially there are presented individual results of characterization of created structures by laser. These partial results are incorporated into a comprehensive methodology developed for characterizing laser-created structures. The experimental part is finished by a presentation of the results of the research use of focused ion beam technology for sputtering defective areas of solar cells.

The Effect of Synovial Fluid Constituents on Lubrication of Hip Joint Replacements / The Effect of Synovial Fluid Constituents on Lubrication of Hip Joint ReplacementsNečas, David January 2016 (has links)

Optimalizace životního cyklu transformátoru 110/22 kV / Optimization of the lifecycle transformer 110/22 kVSuk, Jiří January 2017 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to describe the situation in transformation 110/22 kV in distribution area E.ON East. Next to describe the current practice in the replacement of 110/22 kV transformers and mention the possibilities of replacing the machines at the end of their lifecycle with respect to the development of the load of the individual transformer stations in the distribution area. An integral part of the thesis is also the economic evaluation of premature replacement of transformers from two different perspectives. The next point is to look at the current possibilities in the lifecycle lengthening of these devices and to suggest a method for monitoring the state of paper insulation to estimate the remaining lifetime of the transformer. The last point is the evaluation of the transition of a significant customer from a voltage level of 22 kV to a voltage level of 110 kV, including related technical and economic issues.

Clinical Results with an Active Middle Ear Implant in the Oval WindowHüttenbrink, Karl-Bernd, Beutner, Dirk, Zahnert, Thomas January 2010 (has links)
Background: Some patients with chronic middle ear disease and multiple failed revisions, who also need a hearing aid, may benefit from an active middle ear implant. An advantage of an active middle ear implant is that the ear canal is unoccluded.
Methods: Following extensive experimental development in temporal bones and investigations of various locations and attachments of a Vibrant Soundbridge transducer, a new titanium clip holder for the vibrant floating mass transducer was developed. This assembly is a total ossicular replacement prosthesis (TORP) that is placed on the stapes footplate. Six patients were implanted with this device.
Results: Acoustic results demonstrate significantly improved gain, especially in the high frequencies, which is typically unobtainable by conventional hearing aids.
Conclusion: The simple procedure of placing an active TORP assembly on the stapes footplate, similar to the implantation of a passive TORP prosthesis during tympanoplasty, offers promising treatment for cases of incurable middle ear disease. The influence of optimism on functionality after total hip replacement surgeryBalck, Friedrich, Lippmann, Maike, Jeszenszky, Csilla, Günther, Klaus-Peter, Kirschner, Stephan 08 October 2019 (has links)
Among other factors, optimism has been shown to significantly influence the course of some diseases (cancer, HIV, coronary heart disease). This study investigated whether optimism of a patient before a total hip replacement can predict the functionality of the lower limbs 3 and 6 months after surgery. A total of 325 patients took part in the study (age: 58.7 years; w: 55%). The functionality was measured with the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities arthrosis index, and optimism with the Life Orientation Test. To analyse the influences of age, gender and optimism, general linear models were calculated. In optimistic patients, functionality improved significantly over time. The study showed a clear influence of dispositional optimism on the recovery after total hip replacement in the first 3 months after surgery.
