This thesis deals with the opportunities and risks of exporting Romanian wine to the Czech market. The aim of the thesis is to devise and effective strategy for Romanian producer entering the Czech market, based on the findings. It is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part examines the main theories, regarding the firm’s internationalization strategies and entry modes, and the forces shaping the wine industry, as well as marketing strategies and the supply chain in the wine industry. The practical part focuses on analysis of the wine industry of the European Union, Romanian wine sector and the Czech wine market. It is followed by a section designing effective strategy for a Romanian wine maker wishing to enter the Czech market. The main recommendations for the Romanian exporter are to distribute premium wines through niche specialized wine shops and boutiques rather than large retailers.

This paper focuses on introduction of Romania as a potential outbound tourism destination for Czech Republic. The aim of this paper is to present the real picture of Romania, pointing out some unjust prejudice against this country which can be found in Czech Republic as well as pointing out the real insufficiencies of Romania in the field of tourism which are often overlooked. This paper also contains results of on-line questionnaire which may help to create a better picture of how Romania is being perceived by the Czechs today and which are the possibilities for future developments in this area.

(in English): The aim of this paper is to examine the role of Slavic substantive borrowings in Romanian vocabulary. Selected substantive loans are divided into five semantic areas. Analysis of each of them contains a series of synonyms, functional and stylistic inclusion in the Romanian vocabulary, idioms of which is part given lexical unit, and its derivatives. The result is a semantic classification of lexems of Slavic origin in the Romanian vocabulary, their stylistic stratification and position within the synonymic series.
