Možné ovlivnění českého venkova současnou mezinárodní migrací

Trčková, Marie January 2016 (has links)
Migration is a global trend not only of the current population. However, it bears many controversial questions that are not easy to answer. Currently, opinions regarding the arrival of Syrian refugees into Czech Republic are dividing our society across generations and social status. This diploma thesis is mainly focused on the possible influence of Czech countryside by this migrant wave exhibiting totally different cultural behaviour. Moreover, the differences among Syrian culture and global Islamic religion as well as the Vietnamese traditions, we live in the Czech Republic alongside for decades, are discussed. A survey was conducted to determine the public perception among people living on rural areas with respect to a hypothetical arrival of refugees to their village. The main feature of the questionnaire was identified as the scepticism of respondents concerning the refugees integration process, whereby the vast majority was afraid of arrival of war refugees into Czech country. Additional analysis is attempting to identify possible sources of the negative attitude of the population. Finally, the work was enriched by view of a leading Czech expert on geomigration, assoc. Prof. Dr. Dušan Drbohlav.

Koncept Odpovědnost chránit v konfliktech v Libyi a Sýrii / The Concept of Responsibility to Protect in the conflicts in Libya and Syria

Kotrčová, Barbora January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this work is to determine whether the concept of Responsibility to Protect is able to explain why in case of the Syrian civil conflict the international community did not intervene in a similar manner as it did in Libya. Primarily, the theoretical framework is defined using the concept of Responsibility to Protect. In order to answer the research question, all criteria applied in the analysis were operationalized in accordance with the Report of the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty and the Outcome Document from 2005. At the same time, concept of state sovereignty and humanitarian intervention is designed. Although the conflicts in Libya and Syria started simultaneously in 2011 during the rule of authoritarian regimes, the intrastate situations were not identical. Based on the analysis of two case studies, I came to the conclusion that the concept of Responsibility to Protect is able to sufficiently explain the different reaction of the international community, which confirmed my hypothesis. Specifically, it is the principle of right authority, which was not fulfilled in Syria, while it is necessary to note the criterion of reasonable prospect becomes with the gradual development of the conflict more and more problematic. In contrast, the intervention in...

Budoucnost odpovědnosti za ochranu po zkušenostech v Libyi a Sýrii / The future of the Responsibility to Protect after experience in Libya and Syria

Komm, Tomáš January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with the future of the concept of Responsibility to Protect (R2P) and focuses on prospects of the concept after the conflicts in Libya and Syria. Concept of R2P was developed in 2001 as a reaction to the genocide in Rwanda and Srebrenica and attempts to bring an answer to the question, how to react in the situation when a sovereign state fails to protect its population against crimes under international law. In this thesis I examine the application of the concept in Libya and reasons why it was not applied to a similar situation in Syria. I also deal with the subsequent debate which was held on the international stage after experience with these conflicts and I analyse proposals, which were brought into this debate focusing on how to move the concept forward or modify it. I therefore examine the Brazilian concept of the Responsibility while Protecting (RwP), the question of adoption of guidelines for the intervention according to the R2P, the topic of monitoring and accountability of the intervening state, the Responsibility not to veto and the issue of limiting the use of veto in UN Security Council, the possibility of involvement of UN General Assembly in the R2P, the question of prevention and the topic of unilateral non-forcible measures. The unilateral non- forcible measures,...

Postavení karavanního obchodu v hospodářství římské Sýrie / The role of caravan trade in the economy of Roman Syria

Doležálková, Věra January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue ancient caravan trade in the region of Roman Syria. The available evidence on ancient over-land trade is analyzed here, as well as its routes, main trade commodities, and historical events connected with the trade in the Near Eastern Roman provinces. The intention was to process all the accessible sources concerning the local epigraphy in its urban context, complemented by examinations of the archaeology of the city and narrative sources. The goods arriving to the province of Syria are divided typologically and also according to their utilization and provenience. The prices of main trade commodities are summarized in the chart. The main trade routes crossing the region of the Roman province of Syria are divided geographically into southern and northern routes, and to the routes leading westwards from Palmyra or Antioch to the Mediterranean ports. I also explored the caravan trade of south Arabia mediated by the Nabateans, and its development according to Roman provincial policy. According to the analyzed sources, the decline of the Nabatean trade is examined. The decline was primarily caused by the Roman effort to weaken the influence of the Nabatean kingdom. The key issue of the thesis reveals the Palmyra's caravan trade development in its hinterland and...

Postavení Libanonu v současných mezinárodních vztazích / The Position of Lebanon in the Actual International Relations

Šabacká, Yvona January 2001 (has links)
Lebanese society involves the Western, i.e. liberal and democratic model, and the Islamic model of society as umma. This Lebanese model originated and has been maintained as a compromise between communities of different value paradigms where no significant shift can be expected as Lebanon is situated at the borders of their territorial expansion. According to my analysis on the basis of theoretical concepts of neo-realism and social constructivism the external players prevail over the internal players. External players have essential influence on the development of Lebanese society and state. It is also the regional status quo or regional and international order that influences the development in Lebanon and is responsible for almost every conflict, conflict initiation or struggle in Lebanon. Lebanese multiconfessional society has always made an effort to achieve and has achieved by itself a consensus for its coexistence. That is why the international community and organizations should promote and use their influence more to maintain the peaceful co-existence.
