The research considers the context of its educational practices from various theoretical contributions made about the history of the Institute and interdisciplinary skills that integrate its purpose and its educational projects. With a view to considering the document guidelines and content is used documentary analysis technique to interpret its meaning, analyze and indicate some prospects for Salesian education present in the document and involving its principles, aims and their actions regarding the education. Through participant observation some practical aspects of the prospects of Salesian education were demonstrated. Therefore, the research allows the mapping of key prospects salesina education from the Guidelines and the possibility of deepening the significance of the reference outlook for the educational practice as are indicated in the document: the cultural, evangelising, social and communicative dimensions of education which are the key elements and principles of the Education System Salesian. The design of Salesian education that is built upon an interdisciplinary, complex and dimensional vision, with a perspective of a projectual strategy. Its principles are part of some values that are considered fundamental for the realization of a comprehensive education: the educational community, the educational work in teams, youth spirituality, preventividade and environmental pedagogy. Above all, the central points indicated by the document guide communities to the realization of a projectual thought, considering the various dimensions of education, with a special opening for continuous projection of their intentions and their educational practice. Finally, we find some contributions to education from the pedagogical and practical thinking of Salesian education, especially in relation to the proposal of thinking about education complex and multidimensional way. / A presente dissertação teve como objetivos contextualizar e analisar as perspectivas da educação salesiana a partir do documento das Linhas Orientadoras da Missão Educativa do Instituto das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora, tendo em vista aprofundar o contexto histórico e sociocultural da fundação do Instituto das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora e do desenvolvimento da missão educativa salesiana, com a finalidade de atuar no campo da educação, indicar os fundamentos interdisciplinares que compreendem os fundamentos teóricos para a prática educativa em relação aos aspectos sociológicos, antropológicos, teológicos e pedagógicos, além de algumas experiências práticas da educação salesiana. A pesquisa considera a contextualização da sua prática educativa a partir de diversas contribuições teóricas realizadas em torno da história do Instituto e dos conhecimentos interdisciplinares que integram seus propósitos e seus projetos educativos. Com a perspectiva de analisar as orientações e conteúdos do documento é utilizada a técnica da análise documental que permite interpretar o seu significado, analisar e indicar algumas perspectivas de educação salesiana presentes no documento e que envolvem os seus princípios, propósitos e as suas ações em relação à educação. Por meio da observação participante alguns aspectos práticos das perspectivas da educação salesiana foram demonstrados. Portanto, a investigação permite o mapeamento das perspectivas fundamentais da educação salesiana a partir das Linhas Orientadoras e a possibilidade de aprofundar a significatividade das perspectivas de referência para a prática educativa conforme são indicadas no documento: as dimensões cultural, evangelizadora, social e comunicativa da educação, que são os elementos e princípios fundamentais do Sistema Educativo Salesiano. A concepção de educação salesiana que se constrói a partir de uma visão interdisciplinar, complexa e dimensional, com uma perspectiva de uma estratégia projetual. Os seus princípios integram alguns valores que são considerados como fundamentais para a realização de uma educação integral: a comunidade educativa, o trabalho educativo realizado em equipe, a espiritualidade juvenil, a preventividade e a pedagogia do ambiente. Sobretudo, os núcleos centrais indicados pelo documento orientam as comunidades para a realização de um pensamento projetual, considerando as diversas dimensões da educação, com uma especial abertura para uma contínua projeção das suas intenções e da sua prática educativa. Enfim, encontramos algumas contribuições para a educação a partir do pensamento pedagógico e prático da educação salesiana, especialmente em relação à proposta de pensar a educação de forma complexa e multidimensional.

The identity of the Salesian priest and living out of that identity in the Salesian province of the Czech Republic Key words: the Salesian priest; the identity of a Salesian; the identity; the priesthood; religious priest; living out of that identity. This thesis deals with the specific elements which make up the identity of Salesian priest. First the concept ``identity{\crq}q is defined from the point of view of the psychology of religion and from ethics and then identity is studied in the context of whole work. Next it is a treatise on the elements that are generally crucial for the identity of a Salesian: the salesian mission, community life, religious consecration. The Salesian can live these elements either as priest or as coadjutor. The next chapter is deal with the coadjutor. Later the topic of priesthood as service and the various characteristics common to the religious priest are covered. Finally, drawing from all that has been presented above, a summary of what it is to be a Salesian priest in ministry are clarified. At the end of the thesis are included the results of a research conducted among active Salesians as to whether they agree with the findings of the thesis in practice.

It situates the historical antecedents of the middle education on the Dom Bosco School of Manaus and links the pedagogical process of salesian education for this stage of the education to the brazilian political education. Because of it is a theme with an historical interface, based on documents, we applied qualitative research methods. Among the selected data sources, the teaching inspectors reports enabled the analysis of the historical antecedents of middle education in the School. At the same manner, the qualitative research was applied to another documents as the school registers, the curricula, registration maps, oficial mail, plans of courses, school schedules and the school census. The research is structured in three chapters. The first presents the principles of salesian education and the historical antecedents of the middle education in the Dom Bosco Scholl of Manaus. The second chapter focuses on the principles and directives of Educative Project Salesian for the Amazon emphasizing a salesian presence on the educative and social actions. The third chapter analyzes the historical movement in proposing and organizing the middle education in the Educative Project Salesian of Dom Bosco Scholl of Manaus, between 1998 and 2003, connected with the educational process of salesian education for teenagers and the youth in Manaus and with the directives to the brazilian national education. The research asserts the intention of that religious institution in leading the middle education to make the students ready to college exams such as to diffuse the principles of salesian education. / O estudo investiga o ensino médio no Projeto Educativo Pastoral Salesiano do Colégio Dom Bosco de Manaus no período de 1998 a 2003, de acordo com os princípios da Sociedade de São Francisco de Sales e as diretrizes para a educação nacional. Situa os antecedentes históricos do ensino médio no Colégio Dom Bosco de Manaus e articula os processos pedagógicos da educação salesiana para esta etapa de ensino diante da política educacional brasileira. Por se tratar de uma temática com interface histórica, com ênfase nos documentos, utilizou-se a abordagem qualitativa. Dentre as fontes selecionadas os relatórios dos inspetores de ensino possibilitaram as aproximações dos antecedentes históricos do ensino médio no Colégio. Como também privilegiou as atas escolares, matriz curricular, mapas de matrícula, histórico escolar, correspondência oficial, planos de curso, agendas escolares e o censo escolar. A investigação se organiza em três capítulos, sendo que o primeiro apresenta os princípios da educação salesiana e os antecedentes históricos do ensino médio no Colégio Dom Bosco de Manaus. O segundo enfoca os princípios e diretrizes do Projeto Educativo Pastoral Salesiano para a Amazônia explicitando a presença salesiana nas obras educativas e sociais. O terceiro capítulo analisa o movimento histórico de oferecimento e organização do ensino médio no Projeto Educativo Pastoral Salesiano do Colégio Dom Bosco, no período de 1998 a 2003, em articulação com os processos educativos da educação salesiana para a formação de jovens e adolescentes em Manaus e com as diretrizes para a educação nacional. A pesquisa reafirma a intencionalidade desta instituição confessional em direcionar o ensino médio à preparação dos estudantes aos exames vestibulares bem como a difusão dos princípios da educação salesiana.

The main theme of the diploma is the design of a new Roman Catholic church and parish within the framework of the construction of a panel residential complex in Nový Líšeň in Brno. Due to the fact that Salesian children and youth workers came to the area in 1990, it became necessary to build a church and a Salesian youth center. This proposal is based on an analysis of the urban context. The church is surrounded by prefabricated houses next to a school, a health clinic, a shopping center, and a Salesian youth center in a gently sloping area facing south with the dominant Palava hills.

Assessing the process of participatory monitoring and evaluation: A case study of the Salesian Institute Youth Project, vocational training in Cape Town South Africa

Magister Artium (Development Studies) - MA(DVS) / The involvement of beneficiaries in monitoring and evaluation processes, not only does it ensure the success of the project’s intended objectives, but it empowers, creates knowledge production while guaranteeing a means to a sustainable livelihood for beneficiaries. The study sought to assess the process of Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation using a case study of the Salesian Institute Youth project, vocational training in Cape Town South Africa. Thus the study set out to conduct an evaluative assessment of stakeholder participation in the process of PM&E; identify the organizational structure of the project team and the parties involved; assess the project intended goals versus the outcomes of the project, and identify the relationship between the process of PM&E and the outcomes of the project. The study employed quantitative and quantitative methods, noting the low response rate a larger sample of 150 questionnaires was evenly distributed across gender and 102 were completed. Ten interviews were conducted across all stakeholders. Data were captured and analyzed using SPSS and thematic analysis. The study concludes that the involvement of participants in the process of PM&E is vital to achieving positive projects outcomes. Participants should be made aware of the meaning, purposes of the project as this allows for their comprehension and free will to participate in PM&E processes. Although the outcomes of the project were positive, the study recommends that there is a need for an established scientific PM&E system for the organization that can be implemented in organization projects.

The thesis concentrates on the topic of laypersons who take part in pastoral activities of Salesians. The relationship of Salesians and laypersons was covered in the 24th general chapter. The first part defines the concepts of Educational Pastoral Community, Salesian Educational Pastoral Project and it concerns with the role of a layperson in them. Then, it concentrates on the salesian family, salesian movement and it introduces the elements that are important for the salesian identity. One part of it is also a view of church documents and chosen theologians on laypersons. The second part concerns with a quantitative research that verifies the conclusions of the 24th general chapter.

Esta escola privada, do município de Campinas, desde sua origem sustenta uma história conjunta com uma marcenaria situada dentro de seus portões. Para contar esta história, como em uma oficina, fomos preparando cada peça: as vozes dos mestres de ofício, de alunos internos e outros que encontrávamos pelo caminho; a bibliografia levantada; os artigos de jornais; as imagens e os arquivos fotográficos; e os documentos institucionais, como os livros de crônicas, boletins salesianos, material instrucional, entre outros. Com estas peças em mãos fomos recuperando cada encaixe e montado as relações, as representações e os valores estabelecidos ao longo da segunda metade do século XX. A private school for middle class in Campinas, which maintains within its gates a school of carpentry. From the voices of the masters of this craft, the bibliography reviewed, institutional documents, photographs and newspaper articles, the research dealt with the relationship, the representations and the values established in the educational institution during the second half of the twentieth century. The thesis "Spiritual Accompanying in a Salesian Religious Community" is first trying to map out some possible concepts of the spiritual accompanying in a view of contemporary authors and then to show on the basis of ecclesiastical documents its place in the religious community (1st chapter). After that it deals with the manner of spiritual accompanying in the tradition of the salesian charism, specifically how it was realized by the founders - John Bosco (2nd chapter) and Mary Dominica Mazzarello (3rd chapter). On the basis of a previous, with regard to the current documents of The Daughters of Mary Help of Christian Institute and the teachings of its superiors, and considering the situation of the world today, the thesis points out some aspects which seem to be actual for the salesian style of accompanying today (4th chapter).

Annotation: The presented work deals with the contemporary Salesian education on the background of pedagogical principles of the preventive system of Don Bosco, which was formulated as a response to concrete historical conditions of life and needs of young boys in Turine in the second half of the 19th century and was based on a personal experience of a young priest and tutor John Bosco. The goal of the work is to ascertain through an analysis of the contemporary Salesisan education and concrete activities of Czech Salesian Youth Centres, whether and in what extant the Salesian activities can be considered as a social pedagogical work. The work is divided into five parts. Part One is focused on the historical context of the origin of the Salesian movement, whereas Part Two on the preventive system, as was applied by Don Bosco in his work. Part three is dedicated to the contemporary Salesian education and Part Four describes the functions, methods and forms of work in Czech Salesian Youth Centres. In Part Five I examine through the analysis of the contemporary Salesian education and activities of selected Czech Salesian Youth Centres, whether and in which extant the Salesian activities reflect and fulfil social pedagogical aspects of youth work.
