Katolická a adventistická hermeneutika - srovnání různých přístupů k Písmu / Catholic and Adventist Hermeneutics ? Comparison of Different Approaches to the Bible.

KOCIÁN, Aleš January 2011 (has links)
The main goal and the content of the dissertation is to compare two different approaches to the Holy Scripture. To achieve this goal and to make out beforehand four-part assumptions in the conclusion is in the first part of this work defined the term of hermeneutics, then the relationship between hermeneutics and mission of both churches under examination is elaborated. The second part of the work, on the basis of studied literature, deals with research in the field of hermeneutics and exegesis history, with explanation of terms and backround, with outline of types of hermeneutics and principles of exegesis of the biblical text. This part is closed with the specification and description of the hermeneutical principles used by both chosen churches nowadays. The final third part deals with the practical comparison of one doctrinal topic - the day of worship and rest. This part is closed by the searching for reasons why the studied churches have come to different theological conclusions and instruments the change was achieved by.

Étude des sources et essai sur la forme du texte / For the edition of the Centheologicon of Heymeric de Campo. Study of the sources and essay on the form of the text

Bagnasco, Giovanna 05 March 2013 (has links)
The study represents the first attempt to read, interpret and transcribe the complete Centheologicon of Heymeric deCampo, fifteenth century Flemish philosopher and theologian from Brabant, known among experts especially for hisintellectual relationship with his student, Nicolas of Cues. The work consists of two volumes; the first one is the core of the research, that is to say, the theoretical problem of the'citation', considered as ars citandi, in the practice of the philosophical and theological genres in the Middle Ages; andthe second one represents the philological work that is preparatory to the edition of the Centheologicon, preserved in asingle manuscript, which is in the Bibliothèque Royale of Brussels (ms. 11571-75).In the first volume the relationship between ‘author and auctoritas', 'original and copies 'composition and plagiarism isconsidered, by focusing the 'practice of citation’, and the use of 'hidden' sources in the Centheologicon of Heymeric. This approach has been made possible by the identification of 'implicit sources' in the text, previously unknown, andhelped interpret citation as 'quite literary work' and not as 'plagiarism' in the negative sense. The second volume completes the study with full transcription of the Centheologicon in a form very close to the finalemendatio of the Latin manuscript, thus being a good result for the completion of the edition of Centheologicon.

Biblické motivy v díle Františka Hrubína / Biblical motives in the work of František Hrubín

HANDŠUHOVÁ, Lenka January 2013 (has links)
The thesis attempts to analyse the František Hrubín's poetry in which the parallels with The Scripture or biblical themes could be found. The thesis sorts discovered themes to those that can and to those that cannot be analyzed with the Scripture. The important findings is whether the discovered themes can be essentially marked as biblical or if they are used also with the other meaning by the author. Partical objective is the finding of identical themes in the other authors pieces and comparing them with the themes of František Hrubín. The thesis looks for the connections between the subjects, themes or with the author's writing itself or his contemporaries.

La nécessité biblique : de l'Esprit géométrique aux Pensées de Pascal / Pascal and the Biblical necessity : from De l'esprit géométrique to Les Pensées

Aupetit, Hubert 28 November 2015 (has links)
A thorough philological study of l'Esprit géométrique shows an evolution in Pascal's epistemology. Discovering a form of natural corruption in the incapacity of self foundation of the human langage, he leaves his former Cartesian positions. As a consequence, Reason's pretention to formulate universal principles is erased : every rational knowledge is based on a form of authority. This reveals the importance of Pascal's scientific work as regards to the crisis of fundation in modern Science. Using Aristotle's Poetic's methods, I show that Augustinian notion of figuration both applies to mathematics and Biblic litterature, and gives the aesthetic unity of the whole Pascal’s work . Its originality in philosophy is to get rid of scepticism by searching new languages capable of certitude. I reopen a long debate on the unaccomplished Pensées. I propose to distinguish between objective and apologetic editions. The latter are based on some of the author's indications on his intentions, the former use the only classification available. The thorough originality of what I call Les Pensées classées is to propose a quest for happiness with no religious a priori. After having established the contrarieties of humain condition which no philosophy or human science can describe or resolve because they reject contradiction, as a principle, this classification introduces the Christian Scripture as it carries the only language capable of accepting contradiction and giving a meaning to it. There are two new approaches here : introducing the Bible in the field of existence by necessity, and as a simple book with cognitive power. Structured by narration and figuration (typology), this Biblical model extends rational knowledge by extending its restricted space-time referential. It enlarges the horizon of existence of the reader and shows a path for repairing their contrarieties. Pascal deeply renews the classic figurative thought and the poetic approach of the Bible.

Coexist in the writer inseparable critic and intellectual figures who cross the writers of the Latin American Boom called, publishing phenomenon occurred on par with Europe - a continentshelter Latin American exiles in the 60s and 70s. The evidence taken by the Belgian- Argentine-French writer among the peers appear so disparate: the positive and plural character of his experimental work, through which recognizes a strong surrealist influence and dual-critical writer a reinvention of genres; negative by (not suffered alone) contempt intellectuals who opted for intellectual escapism, or not to leave the country. In this paradoxical scenario, it is evident Cortázar as a writer, critic and intellectual who writes a book guillotined in 1969, and has called Último Round in 2009, his writings gathered in a non-descript posthumously by his biographer: Papéis Inesperados. Under the eyes of the theories of David Arirgucci Jr. (1995), Linda Hutcheon (1991), Roland Barthes (1953, 1966), Leyla Perrone-Moisés (1990, 1998, 2005) and Silviano Santiago (1982, 2002, 2004), the aim if, through the analysis of the two works, giving greater clarity to the silhouette of Julio Cortázar deed within the Latin American comparative literature, fixing a time of hybrid scriptures.

This paper proposes the construction of anupdated gesture of reading of the poetic work of Manoel de Barros, expecting to foster theoretical and political implications of the proposition that we need todesver( “unsee”, tranlated literally) the world through the word. Such proposition was floatedin the book O Menino do Mato ( The boy from the woodlands, translated literally), published in 2010. The analysis of the fragment guidedme to think about the relationship between literature and life, literature and politics, for which were taken, as fundamental references, the ideas of Maurice Blanchot and Gilles Deleuze on the literary field, mainly, the concept of the Outside and Plane of Immanence.Besides the authors mentioned, in order to reflect upon the modern poetic topos, other references from theorists of the modernity were used. I highlight the following names: Walter Benjamin, Roland Barthes, Octavio Paz, Hugo Friedrich and Marcos Siscar were important to scrutinize the paradoxes that make Barros‟s poetry, founded on the bases of modernity, complex and intriguing, echoing in the contemporary reader. In order to talk about the act of reading, reinvented through the plunge into the work of Manoel de Barros, I borrow ideas fromthe authors Pierre Lévy, Jorge Larrosa, Eliana Yunes, and once again, Gilles Deleuze.

Odendaal, Johann Wilhelm Smallberger 29 October 2007 (has links)
Scripture is God’s Word in human language – a truth reflected over 2000years of Church history. Without this truth, proper knowledge of God is impossible. All human efforts to come to a true and meaningful understanding of God, lead to a variety of religious “isms.” The pluralism, post-modernism and post-Christian society of the 21st century, brings its own challenges. Words mean nothing and truth is relative. There are, however, unique resemblances with the pluralism, pre-modern and pre-Christian society of the patristic. From a historical-theological perspective, the researcher points out that these resemblances could shed light on the current burning issue around the authority of Scripture. This historic continuity with the patristic and apostolic tradition is addressed in relation to Tertullian and Augustine. Both these Church Fathers had to give Biblical answer to the burning issues of their day that sought to undermine the authority of Scripture. The patristic’s emphasis on the authority of Scripture, stems from the unique unity between the Old and New Testament. It finds expression in the Apostolic preaching – regula fidei – the rule by which sound theology and godly living is guaranteed. Their historical-literal method of Biblical exegesis reflects a Christian worldview in contrast to the secular worldview of their day. In conclusion the researcher points out the relevance of this study for Southern-Africa. The confusion within the ranks of society, and the disillusionment of hundreds of thousands in Africa concerning the role of the Church, ask for clear direction and uncompromising answers on the fundamentals of the Christian faith with the framework of the authority of Scripture. / Dissertation (MA (Church History))--University of Pretoria, 2007. / Church History and Church Polity / unrestricted

[en] A NARRATIVE OF THE HISTORY OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES DIFFUSION: THE ACTION OF BIBLE SOCIE-TIES IN BRAZIL / [pt] UMA HISTÓRIA DA DIFUSÃO DAS ESCRITURAS SAGRADAS: A ATUAÇÃO DAS SOCIEDADES BÍBLICAS NO BRASIL

ACYR DE GERONE JUNIOR 02 January 2019 (has links)
[en] This thesis has been developed with aim of analyzing the the historical journey of the Biblical Societies in Brazil, from the point of view of the diffusion of the Holy Scriptures. In order to better contextualize the theme, the analyze had its beginning during the time of the oral transmission of the Word of God, before any written record, and it developed through several contexts in which the Scriptures followed God s people in history, both in the reality of the people of Israel and in the perspective of the Christian church. The work of spreading the Scriptures, held by the Bible Societies in Brazil, was established as the main object of study. It was analyzed how the process of arrival and development of the Bible Societies work in almost two hundred years of activities in the country. In a specific way, it was analyzed the work held by the Brazilian Bible Society (SBB) since its foundation in 1948. This work was analyzed starting from the life cycle of the Bible, a method used by the BBS to make the Bible available, accessible, and relevant in the society and in the church. The study was conducted on the basis of a historical research. Its area of concentration was established in the pastoral systematic theology. Methodologically, the research was made through a bibliographical review, overseen by historians and bible scholars, who are referential in relation to the proposed theme. Researches were also made in official documents provided by the BBS. In the last chapter, besides the historical description, it was used an analysis of content based on the activities developed by the BBS through the life cycle of the Bible. The results showed that the work of spreading the Scriptures, developed by the Bible Society in Brazil, especially the BBS, has contributed in a meaningful way to the church and to the Brazilian society in several social and spiritual aspects.

(Barend Jacobus), 1946- 17 May 2005 (has links)
This dissertation presents a contribution to measure the church order and ecclesiastical law in the Nederduitsch Hervormde Church of Africa against the Presbyterial-synodal understanding of church government. The latter forms the canonical outline of Biblical Reformative Theology as an indication of the theology currently practiced in the Nederduitsch Hervormde Church of Africa. At the outset a historical overview is given on the origin and development of the Presbyterial-synodal church government that was mainly shaped by Calvin in Geneva and later elaborated upon in Paris, and then further developed in the Netherlands. Reference is also made to the Algemeen Reglement of 1816, the 1951 church order of the Nederlandse Hervormde Church, as well as the 1951 church order of the Nederduitsch Hervormde Church of Africa. A description is given of what is understood by Biblical Reformative Theology as a revelation theology, which objectively assesses man as a sinner redeemed by grace through Jesus Christ. In this regard the church is willed by God and exists in eschatological expectation when Jesus will be everything in everyone. An exposition of Presbyterial-synodal church government calls attention to the church's existence from the beginning of time, founded by God, and it is therefore of a covenantal nature. Offices are seen as gifts from God to mankind to bring those who had been saved by Jesus Christ to faith in Him. Office bearers gather together in an assembly of offices to govern the church according to the Word of God. The church is a confessing church who confesses its faith with the church of all ages, as summarized in the ecumenical creeds and the three formularies of unity. Reference is also made here to the sacraments, ceremonies, church festivals and days of remembrance. The chapter concludes with a reference to church discipline as well as the relationship between church and state. Finally the church order and ecclesiastical law in the Nederduitsch Hervormde Church of Africa is measured against the previous definition of the Presbyterial-synodal understanding of church government. / Thesis (PhD (Theology))--University of Pretoria, 2006. / Church History and Church Policy / unrestricted
