O lugar da autogestão no Governo Lula / The self-management in the housing policy of Lula´s Government

Moreira, Fernanda Accioly 17 April 2009 (has links)
The present dissertation is a reflection about the selfmanagement housing production directed towards the low income population in Brazil. To achieve our objective, we first devoted our research to a historical reconstruction of the popular housing movement trajectory and its relation to the selfmanagement principle, inside the national housing policies, from the Military Regime until the President Lulas Government. In this context, we assume that the construction of any public policy, and especially the housing one, is a result of the natural dispute of interests between the Government, the market, and the civil society. Furthermore, we believe that the popular housing movement is a result of this interaction, where it grew, matured, and started to interfere in the housing policies formulation. Therefore, the creation of the Program of Support Credit, as part of the National Housing Policy, is not a simple punctual claim, but another step in the trajectory resulted from this interaction. In the process of analysis of the of election, elaboration, operation, and implementation of the Program of Support Credit defined as our instrument of analysis to understand the importance of selfmanagement in the Housing Policy of Lulas Government we verified the limits and potentialities for an effective use of the selfmanagement principle in the current public housing action.

For processing the empirical part of the thesis were used techniques of qualitative research. Data collection was performed by using semi-structured interviews. The research group consisted of seniors from 65 years old. The information was gathered by technique of interviews. The strategy of purposeful selection of respondents was chosen to obtain additional information necessary for the analysis. The criterion for the selection of respondents was willing to cooperate on research and a minimum age limit of 65 years of research sample consisted of twelve seniors divided into three age groups of four respondents. In each group were two women and two men. The first age group of respondents were aged 65 -70 years, in the second group aged 71 -75 years old and in the third group aged 76 and over. The sample consisted of senior´s citizens from České Budějovice and Tábor, who voluntarily agreed to give an interview and complied the criteria above. Do seniors know the principles of a healthy lifestyle? Are seniors able to follow the principles of healthy lifestyle? Is a medical condition of the seniors observing a healthy lifestyle better than the elderly who do not follow principles of healthy lifestyle? Is experience of self-management to a healthy lifestyle seen differently by women and men? By the interview technique was investigated senior´s attitude to healthy lifestyles, their knowledge of and complying of healthy lifestyle, how to care about health and how self-management is perceived in a healthy lifestyle by gender. The next step was an analysis of the collected data, which was an essential step to transcript of conversations followed by categorization. 11 same categories were created for each age group. For clarity, the selected categories were shown in the diagram. The research revealed that seniors have decent knowledge of the principles of healthy lifestyle. Seniors follow the principles of a healthy lifestyle by limits of their possibilities. They allow some reserves in the care of health and try to solve it. Health is more dependent on their age and their diseases. The question is how they care for their health in the past. The research revealed that women and men perceive self-management to a healthy lifestyle accordingly. Both genders tend to deal with shortcomings in the care of their health. Results of the research can help to analyze the situation of senior´s attitude to their health.

Uppfattningar relaterade till självhantering hos ungdomar med diabetes typ 1 : en litteraturöversikt / Perceptions related to self-management among adolescents with type 1 diabetes : a literature review

Juma Khan, Kabita, Svensson, Sara January 2022 (has links)
Hyperglykemi innebär förhöjd mängd glukos i blodet. / Background: Type 1 diabetes is a chronic disease that can affect young people. Young people experience that it is difficult to live with type 1 diabetes and have full responsibility for their illness / treatment. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, which can also be caused by genetic linkage. The disease affects children and adolescents. Complications of type 1 diabetes can include hyperglycemia orhypoglycemia. Hyperglycemia means an increased amount of glucose in the blood. Hypoglycaemia for low blood glucose. Aim: The purpose of this literature study is to shed light on how young people with type 1 diabetes experience taking full responsibility for their illness. Method: The study is a literature review where 15 articles report research results over the selected area. Searches were conducted in CINAHL and PubMed and the articles are between the years 2011-2021. Results: Two main categories and six subcategories are identified. The process for self-management (initial phase, development phase and ready for self-management). Influencing factors (the influence of the environment, the influence of anxiety and fear and being different). Conclusion: Through these categories, different processes emerged. Based onself-management (self-management), young people must have increased knowledge and experience of their illness and treatment. The young people's experience of undergoing the process is made more difficult by imbalance as the young people are more worried about being considered different while the healthcare is more focused on glucose values. An increased understanding of the young people's experience can lead to better nursing, the nurse's knowledge base can provide better care to young people with type 1 diabetes.
