  • The Global ETD Search service is a free service for researchers to find electronic theses and dissertations. This service is provided by the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations.
Our metadata is collected from universities around the world. If you manage a university/consortium/country archive and want to be added, details can be found on the NDLTD website.

In this study, it was carried out the estimate of the daily evapotranspiration ofa regional area pertinent to Rio Doce Basin, in Ponte Alta - MG. Meteorological data from the station of Ponte Alta and spectral band images of the satellite LANDSAT TM, relative to 15/07/89 were used. Evapotranspiration was determined from the meteorological data of Ponte Alta Station by application of a computational method for constructing a model of the Geographic Information System (SIG) which would map and determine the daily and regional evapotranspiration of a landscape by changing punctual equations into spatial expressions. As a theoretical basis for SIG model, it was used the Jackson equation (1977), and as factor B it was used the expression of Seguin and ltier (1983). It were obtained the albedo spatial images, instantaneous and daily net radiation, factor B, leaf area index, canopy resistance, surface temperatures at noon and the daily regional evapotranspiration. The results of daily evapotranSpiration were compared to several methods and presented a high adjust coefficient when compared to the methods of Radiation and the corrected Penman-FAQ.
