Analýza chovu Shagya araba na Slovensku

In this diploma thesis entitled Analysis of breeding Shagya arab in Slovakia have been collected data of the body dimensions of horses born in the Stud Farm Topoľčianky from 2010 to 2015 and the body dimensions of breeding horses. At the beginning of this thesis the balance of Shagya arab herds in the Stud Farm Topoľčianky was evaluated by descriptive analyses. After that the thesis is given to set the growth curve of Shagya arab and comparison of the average basic body dimensions at birth in individual years. They average values of basic body dimensions breeding horses were compared with breed standard and significante of gender any year of birth of Shagya arab on basic body dimensions and hipometric indexes. The highly significante effect had gender of horses born to girth of breast. Stallions exceed the value of mares in girth of breast about 2,04 cm. The breeding horses significante effect had gender to girth of breast. Mares exceed the value of stallions in girth of breast about 7 cm. The highly significante effect had gender of breeding horses in metacarpal girth. Stallions exceed value of mares about 0,74 cm. The growth curves confirmed intense the growth after birth to about 6 months. After this period the growth curves are gently increase. The breeding horses of Stud Farm Topoľčianky meet the breed standard and the herds of horses are balanced.
