Analyse de situation aux frontières terrestres algéro marocaines : vie quotidienne d’une population partagée / Situation analysis at moroccan algerian land borders : daily life of shared population

Daoudi, Fatiha 25 March 2015 (has links)
The land borders between Morocco and Algeria, long of about 1600 km, have been closed since 1994.This closure forced the population living on both sides to respect the border as a limit and a symbol of state sovereignty, as well as the rest of the population in the two countries. However, a participatory observation of the region allows noting a particular kind of life. Indeed, the border population has almost always maintained sustained family and business relationship, because of his way’s life, based on a strong proximity to both sides of the border. So, daily, the border closure is not respected by this population. Its unique result is the appearance and the installation of a sort of "routinely deviance" in the form of traffic of goods and people, and accepted by the various stakeholders (smugglers, population and border controllers). Only civil society calls for a return to normality. It appears from the analysis of the border live as "deviance" is a way to preserve and meet the specific needs of the population. In other words, commercial and family relationships that were practiced legally, before the closure of borders, have become "deviant" actions. The "deviance" is therefore a response to the inadequacy of the decision to close the border to the kind of frontier life.

Die schulwahlbezogene Wettbewerbssituation

Drope, Tilman 21 June 2019 (has links)
When choice policies are used to encourage families to choose a specific school and individual schools have to offer themselves as options for this, school choice related competitive situations arise. These can be observed in a variety of international contexts and are now gaining importance in Germany both in primary and secondary education. This thesis examines the competitive situation of school choice in an underprivileged Berlin district following the 2010/11 Berlin school structure reform and analyses it in the context of relevant German language and international research. All in all, the diverse research results that can be associated with the phenomenon of competitive situations related to school choice raise doubts as to whether the educational policy objectives of improvement in quality and equal opportunities associated with an increased competitive orientation in the field of school education will be fulfilled. This is also indicated by the results of the ethnographic research project, the course and results of which were presented in this paper. This work augments the qualitative case studies on school choice related competitive situations that have so far been available in Germany to only a very limited extent, using the example of a Berlin district, to include a study in the most populous German city that has not previously been carried out and that focuses on the consequences of a current school structure reform. With the concept of the fit-distance construction developed on the basis of this example as a central social mechanism recognisable in the school choice related competitive situation under study, it also offers starting points for further local case studies and analysis of similar focal points.

Laven Fredriksson, Daniel January 2011 (has links)
Today's industries are constantly evolving and the demands according to quality for products and services produced and performed are becoming more and higher. A background to the introduction of a quality managementsystem towards Skärås svets och mekaniska in Västerås are that more and more customers demand this from a company to enable it to obtain an order of production. Efforts to introduce a quality system such as ISO 9001-2008 all begin with to carry out a situationanalysis of the business. Skärås svets och mekaniska currently has no existing quality management system so therefore there is no current directives regarding who is responsible, for a future certification in the business. By structuring a situation analysis of the business. You get a good overview of the business and how it is conducted today. This analysis can be performed in separate ways, but this thesis has chosen to perform it using the process mapping. Process mapping is a powerful tool for an organization, not just as a situation analysis, but as a tool for future efficiencies and improvements. Process mapping has been done in accordance with walk-trough concept where you go through the tasks that are within the business itself and see what the people involved in the making are doing in there tasks. To compile this to the process maps later on. An Analysis of the process and the mapping of them compered to the requirements of ISO 9001-2008. Is explaining where Skärås svets och mekaniska really are today in the work towards a future certification. Against what the standard requires. What do you need to implement in their business or change for a future certification will be possible?. This is one of the main issues reguarding this thesis. The results of this thesis is a comprehensive situation analysis consisting of process maps for Skärås svets och mekaniska, and an analysis of these against the requirements of ISO 9001-2008 standard. Teacher Effectiveness In Initial Years Of Service: A Case Study On The Graduates Of Metu Foreign Language Education Program

Salli-copur, Deniz 01 March 2008 (has links) (PDF)
Since English has risen as the dominant language in the world, the demand for English language teachers has grown rapidly especially in the last three decades. Hence, English language teacher education has become an important concern in the Turkish national education system, which has forced the governments to implement a series of reforms. One of these was the Foreign Language Education (FLE) curriculum designed by the Higher Education Council (HEC), forwarded to all FLE departments in Turkish universities to be carried out starting from 1998-99. This curriculum was also used for pre-service English language teacher education in the Department of Foreign Language Education at Middle East Technical University (METU). However, a large scale evaluation study was not conducted on the effectiveness of the program or the competence of its graduates. This study primarily aimed at reaching the FLE graduates from 2002 to 2006 to investigate to what extent they perceive themselves competent as EFL teachers and to what extent they find the FLE program components successful in helping them gain these competencies. Besides, it also intended to reach the employers of FLE graduates to explore how competent these graduates are viewed and how successful METU FLE program is considered in serving its graduates gain teacher competencies. For this aim quantitative and qualitative data were collected through two graduate questionnaires, and graduate and elite employer interviews. The findings of the first graduate questionnaire revealed that the FLE graduates perceived themselves competent in most of HEC&rsquo / s competence areas, while the open-ended questionnaire items and interview data demonstrated a need for improvement for competencies of language knowledge, spoken use of English, classroom management, assessment and instruction. It was also seen in these two types of data that graduates&rsquo / perception of their strengths and weaknesses in HEC&rsquo / s foreign language teacher competencies and their need for developing other competencies depend on the level they teach, the type of school they work at and the length of experience they have. Similarly, some of the employers, according to the institution where they have elite positions, indicated a high level of satisfaction with the FLE graduates&rsquo / competence in language and subject knowledge, inclass and out-of class competencies, while some of them emphasized a need for improvement in competencies of language knowledge and use, and putting theory into practice. In addition, although the program was reported to have a strong and positive role on the development of professional competencies in the teacher candidates, it was also stated that the five components and some courses of the program need revisions in terms of their content, methodology of instruction and assessment. Moreover, the need for communication among the components of the program was also expressed, as the graduates mention unnecessary overlaps among some courses. In the light of these findings, some suggestions are made towards program improvement.

A strategy to manage diversity in secondary schools / .J. van Vuuren

Van Vuuren, Hermanus Jacobus January 2008 (has links)
The purpose of the research focuses on the development of a strategy for the management of diversity in secondary schools of the North West Province. The nature of diversity is explained from an ontological point of departure as the multiplicity of things with distinctive characteristics and qualities. A structure analysis of diversity emphasises a balanced perspective in which the interdependence and mutual coherence of all aspects of diversity are acknowledged in all spheres of life. An analysis of the different perspectives concerning multicultural education as an approach to deal with diversity leads to the identification of a limited focus on culture related concerns that fail to account for diversity in totality. Culture related concerns are not regarded as an exclusive constituent of a complex phenomenon like diversity and a more inclusive approach of diversity in education is recommended. A mixed methods research design is chosen for this research to provide a purposeful research framework in which quantitative and qualitative methods are combined to meet the demands of a sophisticated research problem. Findings of the research include inter alia the principles of respect and caring that are in relation to the concept of Ubuntu with a focus on humaneness and the affirmation of unity in diversity. Another finding of relevance is that a diversity strategy involves a clear rationale and policy framework for a process consisting of phases, objectives, action steps and persons involved. It is recommended that a diversity strategy must be tailor-made according to situation-specific needs and the unique manifestation of diversity. The contribution of this research is seen as a clarification of the concept of diversity and the development of a generic strategy for the management of diversity. / Thesis (Ph.D. (Education))--North-West University, Potchefstroom Campus, 2008.
