MAROUŠEK, Roman January 2007 (has links)
This thesis deals with freezy sublimation in cryoattachement Gatan Alto 2500 connected to scanning electron microscope (SEM) JEOL JSM-7401F. The thesis is devided into the theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part I focus mainly on physical qualities of water and on problematics of freezy-drying. I also describe qualities of subsidiary substances which are being used when working with cryotechnology. I briefly describe technology used: cryoattachement Alto 2500 and SEM JSM-7401F. In the practical part I deal with the description of the method that I have developed in order to measure weight decrease of frozen specimen owning to its sublimation in vacuum. I provide measurement results of the sublimation of these substances: demineralized water, Dextran, glycerol and phosphate buffer saline.

Studium fázových transformací ve slitinách titanu / The Study of Phase Transformation in Titanium Alloys

Zháňal, Pavel January 2018 (has links)
In this work phase transformations in metastable β (primarily Ti-15Mo) alloys were studied utilizing electrical resistance, dilatometry, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray and neutron diffraction. The materials Ti-15Mo, Ti-6.8Mo-4.5Fe-1.5Al (LCB), Ti-5Al-5V-5Mo-3Cr (Ti-5553), Ti-29Nb-1Fe-0.5Si (TNFS), Ti-15Mo-3Nb-3Al-0.2Si (Timetal 21S) and Ti-13Cr-1Fe-3Al (TCFA) (in wt. %) - were subjected to a solution treatment at a temperature above β transus and quenched into water. In this condition, the microstructure of the investigated materials consists of β matrix and ω particles. Samples quenched from important temperatures determined from in-situ electrical resistance and dilatometry measurements were studied by post-mortem TEM. In-situ X-ray and neutron diffraction provided direct observations of microstructure of Ti-15Mo alloy during linear heating and confirmed statements based on results of indirect methods, such as: the decrease of volume fraction of ω phase during heating at low temperatures (up to 250 ◦ C), complete dissolution of ω phase at 560 ◦ C and precipitation of α phase without ω particles serving as its direct precursors. X-ray diffraction experiment allowed to determine relative evolution of the size of ω particles while phase fraction evolution was derived from neutron diffraction. The...

Spektrální analýza a charakterizace magnetických atomů a studium supravodivých vrstev pomocí nízkoteplotní STM / Spectral analyzing and characterization of magnetic atoms and investigating superconducting films in low temperature STM

Cahlík, Aleš January 2016 (has links)
This work is divided in two thematic parts. The first part shows a refurbishment of a Omicron low temperature STM set-up and its utilization for preparation of superconducting-magnetic interfaces. First, a cleaning procedure of suitable metallic substrates, specifically W(110) and Ir(111), is shown. It is followed by results of iron monolayer deposition on Ir(111) (Fe-Ir(111) interface). The last section deals with study of vanadium growth on pure Ir(111) substrate as well as on mentioned Fe-Ir(111) interface. The second thematic part deals with magnetism of cobalt atoms on a monolayer metal dichalcogenide WS2. It focuses primarily on studying their magnetic moment and magnetic anisotropy using X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD).

Optimalizace parametrů SLM procesu při zpracování hliníkové slitiny AW2618 / SLM process parameters optimization for processing of AW2618 aluminum alloy

Těšický, Lukáš January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with possibilities for processing aluminium alloy EN AW 2618 using Selective laser melting (SLM). The theoretical part contains basic knowledge about production by this technology and possibilities of evaluation of relative density of samples. It also contains an overview of the current state of knowledge about the processing of aluminium alloys by SLM technology. Above all, aluminium alloys of the series 2000, where the main alloying element is copper. In the experimental part testing samples were designed based on the research. These samples can be divided into three areas: single-track specimens, volume samples and samples for tensile testing. Single-track and volume samples were used to find appropriate processing parameters to achieve a relative density close to full volume of material. For this purpose, the effect of the different scanning strategies on the relative density of the sample were examined. The limiting factor has been the occurrence of small cracks in the broad range of parameters studied. Mechanical properties of samples produced by SLM were compared with extruded material. It was found that the material processed by SLM achieves only half the yield strength and tensile strength of extruded material. This is mainly due to the occurrence of small cracks and other defects in the structure of the material.

Využití laserové skenovací hlavy pro povrchové kalení / Use of laser scanning head for surface hardening

Jedličková, Veronika January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis addressed the issue of laser surface hardening using dynamic oscillation of the laser beam. The theoretical part presents the hardening technology and suitable using of laser equipments. The fiber laser YLS 2000 was used in the experiment and the hardened material was steel 12 050, which is suitable for laser hardening. The influence of two selected parameters of the scan head on the resulting structure and hardness of hardening layers was examined. Based on the results, the choice of optimal parameters for identical conditions with the experiment was recommended.

Design elektronového mikroskopu / Design of electron microscope

Havlíček, Petr January 2011 (has links)
The aim of my Master's thesis is the design of a scanning electron microscope. The designed concept presents an innovative approach to the problems and respects all technical, ergonomic and aesthetical demands made on it. The main creative part of design process starting from the concept development and ending up with the final solution is preceded by a background research study including a historical, technical and design analysis of the electron microscope. The conclusion of my Master's thesis analyses the final design, its character and its contribution in broader context.

Porovnání vodní dýmky, elektronických cigaret a klasických cigaret z hlediska emitovaných částic / Comparison of hookah, electronic cigarette and classic cigarettes in regard to emitted particles

Krátký, Štěpán January 2015 (has links)
This master’s thesis is focusing on the research of chosen smoking types and their comparison in regard to emitted particles. Aerosol created during smoking represents a serious threat for human health. For purposes of this work an experimental set-up was constructed in the Laboratory of Aerosol Research at BUT FME and experiments simulating smoking process were carried out. The results of these experiments are presenting objective information about the constitution of produced aerosol which enters smoker’s lungs. There are many myths about the harmful effects of different types of smoking. The goal of this work is to verify and resolve these myths and set the foundation for possible upcoming research in this area.
