Produkční a ekologický potenciál borových porostů na antropogenních půdách post-těžebních lokalit / The Production and Ecological Potential of Pine Stands on Anthropogenic Soils of Post-Mining Sites

Dragoun, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
Extraction of mineral resources constituted the development of industrial companies worldwide. But it has a major impact on the landscape and environment. Restoration of areas disturbed by mining is current issue especially on large surfaces after surface mining. In the Sokolov region, the forest reclamation was carried out on the Antonin spoil bank in the years 1969-1972, where forest stands of different species composition were established under the same conditions. The aim of this work is to compare the mixed pine stands on anthropogenic soils more than 40 years after their foundation, to assess their suitability for reclamation and to describe the influence of admixed deciduous trees on the production and ecological potential of the site. On the plots the basic mensurational and production quantities of the stand were measured. The dendrochronological analysis was performed and the diameter increment was detected for the main species Scots pine. Based on the diameter increment, the tolerance analysis was carried out for the highest risk factor on these sites - drought. The most appropriate in local conditions seems to be a structure of pine stands with an admixture of lime trees, which is characterized by the highest production, soil formation and ecological potential. The work also points to two important factors that significantly influenced the silviculture on the Antonin spoil bank. It is the neglect of stand tending, and thus significant disruption in stand stability, and limiting intake of water, causing significant declines in increment regardless of an admixture or character of the stands.

Fonctions tau polynomiales et topologique des hiérarchies de Drinfeld–Sokolov / Polynomial and topological tau functions of the Drinfeld–Sokolov hierarchies

This thesis deals with the computation and applications of tau functions of the Drinfeld– Sokolov hierarchies introduced in 1984. The Drinfeld– Sokolov hierarchies are sequences of integrable partial differential equations which one associates to any semisimple Lie algebra. The tau function is a function associated to any solution of a given hierarchy and which contains all the information of the solution. Tau functions are at the heart of the bonds between Drinfeld–Sokolov hierarchies and algebraic geometry. In Chapter 3, we establish an explicit transformation between the polynomial tau functions of the Korteweg–de Vries hierarchy (associated to the algebra sl(2,C)) and the Adler–Moser polynomials (1978). The latter form a sequence of polynomials satisfying a certain differential recursion relation. Chapter 4 is dedicated to the computation of tau functions via Toeplitz determinants; a method introduced by Cafasso and Wu (2015). In collaboration with Cafasso and Yang, we obtained an expansion of the tau function as a sum over all integer partitions. It follows a simple criterion for the polynomiality of the tau function; we give some nontrivial examples. In Chapter 5, in collaboration with Paolo Rossi, we confirm the so-called ‘strong DR/DZ conjecture’ for the algebra o(8,C) (D4). The latter states an equivalence between, in particular, Drinfeld–Sokolov hierarchies and another kind of hierarchies called ‘the double ramification hierarchies’ introduced by Buryak (2015) and constructed from the cohomology of the moduli spaces of stables complex curves Mg,n.

Porovnání oxyhumolitu sokolovské pánve s materiály používanými v lázeňství a alternativní medicíně a jeho možné využití v těchto oborech / Comparison of oxyhumolite of the Sokolov basin with materials which are using in spa and alternative medicin and its possible usage in these spheres

Dúcka, Barbora January 2010 (has links)
This work deal with a brief characterization of three materials, namely oxyhumolite and sapropelite from Sokolov basin that are compared with peat from Františkovy Lázně. The sampling localities are briefly geographically and geologically described including the genesis of the deposits. All materials are specifically characterized by analysis. The materials are compared based on the results of the analysis. Greater attentinon is paid to the comparison of sulfur content, humic acides and warmth retention. A part of the work is devoted to description of peloids and their influence on the human organism. The history of using peloids is briefly discussed. The possibility of using oxyhumolite and sapropelite for production of natural cosmetics or for balneological use is examined as a replacement for native and especially for regenerated peat.

Petrografická stavba a prostředí vzniku sloje Josef (oligocén) v sokolovské pánvi / Petrography and sedimentary environment of the Josef Coal (Oligocene) in the Sokolov Basin

Jureková, Dominika January 2014 (has links)
The Josef Coal has the largest extent of all the Coals in the Sokolov Basin. The diploma thesis is concerned with studying of two profiles of the Josef Coal located in the opencast mines Medard-Libík and Družba for the purpose of micropetrograhic and chemical analyse. The goal of the diploma thesis is an interpretation of the sedimentary enviroment leading to formation of the Josef Coal based on the comparison of the petrographic and geochemical parametres of both profiles. Both studied profiles were initially macropetrographically described and sampled in a field. Samples were subsequently used for by maceral a chemical- technological analyses. The analysis of all 50 collected samples were performed at the Institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The micropetrographic composition was compared with chemical-technological standards. The macropetrographic description indicates some differences between both studied coal sections. The lower part of The Profile Josef 1 consists of the humic coal which in middle part evolves into the sapropelic one and that type persists the rest of the profile. The Profile Josef 2 is formed by sapropelic coal throughout the entire section except four decimeter thick benches of intercalated humic coal. Diferences in...

Algae and cyanobacteria colonizing toxic soils on coal-mining dumps / Algae and cyanobacteria colonizing toxic soils on coal-mining dumps

HRČKOVÁ, Kristýna January 2008 (has links)
Species composition of soil algal and cyanobacterial communities was investigated in thirteen sites of different toxicity of spoil material on dumps in the Sokolov mining area (Czech Republic). The adaptation ability of various algal and cyanobacterial species to live in toxic environment and the effect of different amendments (wooden coal, organic matter, dolomitic limestone) of toxic soils were tested both in laboratory and field experiments. According to results, species composition corresponded to environmental characteristic (pH, conductivity, substrate type). Some green unicellular algae grew successfully in extracts from the most toxic substrate and seemed to be well adapted to low pH conditions. Results indicate that increase of pH is a basic precondition for the establishment of more diverse and abundant algal flora in highly acidic sites.

Toxicita výsypkových substrátů a možnosti jejího zmírnění / Spoil heap toxicity and possibilities for remediation

Venclovská, Lenka January 2011 (has links)
The content of this diploma thesis is to verify of possibilities for remediation spoil heap toxicity in Sokolov area, by the help of creating biological crusts. The main question of this work is the possibility of using algae to create biological crust on toxical substrates, which could improve the properties of substrates and contribute to the acceleration of succession. The correctness of this theory was tested using two tests on toxic soils in spoil heaps near Sokolov. In the first test (laboratory test) have been chosen two of the soils and the higher plants, in most cases, even did not germinate. That is why we decided to verify the second option to create biological crust in these phytotoxic soils. Therefore we applied selected kinds of algae in the field, some areas were liming, and the field has been monitoring and sampling during next three years. The results show that the application of dolomitic limestone does not affect progress of biological crusts. The result of the fluorescent microscopy clearly shows, that Klebsormidium algae was the only one of the tested algae, which survived and progressed compact visible crusts.

Prolongation Structures, Backlund Transformations And Painleve Analysis Of Nonlinear Evolution Equations

Yurdusen, Ismet 01 November 2004 (has links) (PDF)
The Wahlquist-Estabrook prolongation technique and the Painleve analysis, used for testing the integrability of nonlinear evolution equations, are considered and applied both to the Drinfel&#039 / d-Sokolov system of equations, indeed known to be one of the coupled Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) systems, and Kersten-Krasil&#039 / shchik coupled KdV-mKdV equations. Some new Backlund transformations for the Drinfel&#039 / d-Sokolov system of equations are also found.
