Analýza technické efektivnosti českých zemědělských podniků s chovem prasat / Technical efficiency analysis of czech agricultural enterprises in pig farming sectorRudinskaya, Tamara January 2016 (has links)
The aim of the research is to evaluate technical efficiency of Czech agricultural enterprises in pig farming sector and to analyse the impact of heterogeneity factors (farm size and specialization), and the impact of subsidies on farms technical efficiency. For the empirical analysis data of Czech farms from the FADN database for the years 2005-2011 was used. Research is conducted through Stochastic Frontier Analysis; the output distance function in translogarithmic form was estimated. The results indicate higher technical efficiency of larger farms with higher degree of specialization. Moreover, subsidies negatively impact technical efficiency, whereas the impact of subsidies on investments on technical efficiency is positive.

Lobbying: Empirická evidence / Lobbying: Microeconomic EvidenceRott, Robert January 2016 (has links)
The present thesis is an empirical analysis of lobbying in the United States. First, it analyses an added value of lobbyists' specialisation and connections to congressmen using a method of matching. Second, it extends the analysis by studying the impact of competition for access to congressmen on the added value of lobbyists. Third, it analyses lobbying from the point of view of congressmen by studying the impact of their specialisation on committee assignments on the amount of campaign financing they obtain from lobbyists. The analysis is done using data about lobbying reports as well as committee assignments of congressmen and campaign contributions they obtain from lobbyists in the 106th to 110th congress, corresponding to years 1999-2008. The present thesis also provides a brief summary of related literature analysing different aspects of lobbying.

Početní stav a věková struktura lékařů v českém zdravotnictví / The number and the age structure of physicians in the Czech health systemDostálová, Eva January 2012 (has links)
This study deals with the development of the number and the age and sex structure of Czech physicians according their medical specialty in the period 2000-2010. The aim of the study is to identify which medical specialties are already problematic or could face the lack of physicians and demographic ageing in the future and on the other hand which medical specialties are popular among young physicians. Firstly, the Czech health system and particular groups of health workforce are introduced. After that follows the analysis of the number and the sex and age structure according their medical specialty. The cluster analysis which produces groups of medical specialties with similar characteristics of development of the number and the structure was used for schematic overview. The second part of the study is focused on the most numerous fourteen medical specialties. The number of medical school graduates, the number of attestations and the development of workload of physicians regarding the number of ambulant treatment and hospitalization is taken into account.

Evoluce hostitelské specializace blanokřídlých parazitoidů rodu Torymus / Evolution of parasitic Hymenoptera hosts specialisation of the genus TorymusBubeníková, Kristýna January 2018 (has links)
The genus Torymus (Chalcidoidea: Torymidae) has very diversified parasitic strategies and adaptations to its hosts. Its larvae are ectoparasitoids and attack mostly larvae of various gall wasps (Hymenoptera: Cynipidae) and gall midges (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae). However, few species prefer also other insect groups as a host or are even phytophagous. Many hypotheses concerning evolution of insect host associations were published, but have not been satisfactorily tested using parasitic insects as a model. In this thesis I studied coevolution of the genus Torymus and its hosts. The main questions are what kind of host shifts occurred during the evolution of host strategies and whether sister species of parasitoids are specific to the related hosts/or nonrelated hosts living in the same type of habitat. I also studied changes at morphological adaptations to its hosts. To test critically these hypotheses, I constructed phylogenetic tree of selected Torymus species based on 5 genes and compared their host association within and between clades of Torymus. Key words: Torymus, Chalcidoide, parasitoid, phylogeny, host specialisation

Ekologické specializace ptáků na základě prostorových patrností v koexistenci / Ecological specializations of birds based on spatial co-existence patternsPetrová, Kristýna January 2018 (has links)
Ecological specialization based on co-existence patterns is new methodology used for niche breadth measurement using co-existing community with occupancy data. It results in generalist-specialist continuum according to value of speciali- zation index. The aim of this thesis was testing index stability at spatial and tem- poral scale, compare this specialization index with other specialization indices and study changes in specialization with time changes in occupancy. Specialization was quantified using data of breeding birds atlases in the Czech Republic and Europe using two selected indices Theta and Simpson. Methodology seems to be sensitive to spatial scale. Instability appears at small scale for birds, stability and correlation between indices increase with gre- ater scale. Problems with using point counts corresponds to their unsuitability encompass birds' habitats, especially for water dependent birds. Correlations be- tween different time periods are stronger at greater spatial scale. Specialization based on co-existence patterns correlates with specialization according to experts' opinions. Results from comparing changes in specialization with changes in occu- pancy suggest, that most of species tend to leave more diverse sites with occupancy decline.

Vliv specializací Cestovní ruch a Malé a střední podniky v tržním prostředí na rozhodnutí studenta začít podnikat / The influence of specialities Tourism and Entreprising with Small and Medium Company on the student´s decision to start to do the businessŠašková, Helena January 2013 (has links)
The thesis pursues how the young people perceive their entrepreneurial opportunities and if they are determined to do their business. The influence of educational facilites and educators is important. Nowadays students have a big support and stable base from their side. The goal of the thesis is to analyse the influence of specialities. There were used qualitative and quantitative questionnaire surveys. These surveys find out the influence of both specialities and other inducements on the student's decision to start to do the business. The case studies of already doing business students also serve as a tool to achieve the target. The main benefit of the thesis is finding the mutual relation of students' business plans as well their specialities. By applying these conclusions results question if the specialities are interested in the mutual cooperation. The applicability of these pieces of knowledge is not only for the academic ground.

Prostorová koncentrace, specializace a ekonomický růst / Spatial Concentration, Specialization and Economic GrowthUhlířová, Petra January 2012 (has links)
In various regions, the number of employees working in each sector is different. Some sectors may be in the region employ more workers than other sectors, indicating a higher degree of specialization. In each region, the degree of specialization varies, which could have a direct impact on economic growth. The aim of this study was therefore to investigate the relationship between the degree of specialization and economic growth of the region. It turns out that there is a positive relationship between the degree of specialization and economic growth, which means that the growth rate of specialization will lead to economic growth. It follows that the focus of the region, especially on one sector can lead to faster economic growth.
