Dramatizace Olbrachtova Nikoly Šuhaje loupežníka / Dramatization of Ivan Olbracht's novel the Bandit Nikolai Shuhai

Mládková, Nela January 2011 (has links)
ENGLISH SUMMARY In my diploma thesis called The Dramatization of Ivan Olbracht's novel The Bandit Nikolai Shuhai I have concentrated primarily on the adaptation most appreciated by readers as well as, in my opinion, the adaptation of the best quality. In chapter one I focused on Olbracht's novel, precisely on the theme genesis in The Bandit Nikolai Shuhai, which was based on a real-life event. The public responses on the book, which was awarded the state prize for a literary work of art in 1933, are reflected as well. We also deal with blending of the myth with reality, the language and stylistic processing of the novel, and with the main protagonists. Personally, I consider Olbracht's The Bandit Nikolai Shuhai one of the greatest pieces within the Czech literature of 20th century. There are two reasons for which the theme of the novel became a good-quality and favourite basis for further processing: it tells an engaging story of a real-life figure and it is situated in a place which impresses us, Europeans, with enchanting exoticism of its landscape and culture. Chapter two deals with the work of Petr Ulrych which was inspired by Olbracht's novel. Ulrych's first product based on this literary work was a monothematic LP The Bandit Nikolai Shuhai (released in 1974). A year later those thirteen songs were...

Stanislav Tereba: jeho kariéra a fotografický styl / Stanislav Tereba: His Career and Photographic Style

Hejbal, Dominik January 2017 (has links)
The paper focuses the career of photographer Stanislav Tereba, the only Czech winner of the main World Press Photo Prize. He succeeded with the photography of Miroslav Čtvrtníček, the soccer goalkeeper, played in Prague, Letna stadium. The paper deals mainly with Tereba's work in evening paper Vecerni Praha where the winning photography was paid a great attention there. As well as a lot of journalists since the 1990's Tereba have faced the problems after the Velvet Revolution when his career nearly stopped as the media went to private ownership. Tereba's career is explored in the context of the development of sports photography in the Czech Republic. Tereba's photographic style is studied by using semiotic analysis and the method of compositional interpretation there. In addition, the work consists of a case study of Tereba's success in World Press Photo. Tereba's photography is compared to the other winning photographs as well as to the competition in 1959 when he was honored with the main prize at the expense of war photographs usually awarded. Attention is also paid to the creation of Tereba's winning photography from participation in the stadium to subsequent photo editing.

Problematika překladu románu NeprOsti Tarase Prochas'ka / Issues of translation of the novel NeprOsti by Taras Prochas'ko

Gazukina, Jekaterina January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis on Issues of translation of the novel NeprOsti by Taras Prochas'ko deals with an analysis of the translation and specification of particular translators' solutions of the novel NeprOsti written by one of the famous one of the famous contemporary Ukrainian prosaist and essayist, who belongs to representatives of the Stanislav Phenomenon. His work has a specific characteristic distinguished from the other Ukrainian post-modern authors. The characteristic of his work and its placement within the contemporary Ukrainian literature is a part of the first section of the work. The attention is paid to Prochasko's specific text NeprOsti, published in 2012, in Czech translation titled Jinací. In the second part of the diploma thesis there are stated the theoretical solutions of my analysis. The story is set into ethnographic specific Hutsul part of Carpathian Ukraine, which is rich in numerous local facts and linguistic interesting peculiarities that are significantly reflected in the text. For this reason the novel contains a number of problematic and interesting phenomena, which are generally referred to as culture-specific items. A difficulty during the translation process was also caused by the author's distinctive syntax, language games and numerous polysemantic expressions. In the...

Stanislav Sucharda – fotografie a socha / Stanislav Sucharda – photography and sculpture

Šemíková, Petra January 2018 (has links)
This work focuses on a photographic archive of a czech sculptor Stanislav Sucharda (1866-1916). Stanislav Sucharda was one of the leaders of modern Czech sculpture. The aim of the work is to investigate and analyze a part of the private fund related to photographic reproductions of Sucharda's sculptures and work. The collection shows a wide range of photographic techniques and materials. Counting both glass negatives and plastic negatives, photographic positive techniques including albumen prints, colloid prints and various types of silver-gelatin prints. On negatives and positives there are secondary interventions. There are framing, varnish, retouching or photocollages. The photo collection is not classified according to any code, chronological or thematic distribution is missing. The aim will be trying to find links between sculpture models and photographs. Determining the purpose for which the photographs were taken should create a mosaic of Stanislav Sucharda's work with photographs. I would like to compare this archive with archives in art institutions, which have photographs associated with Stanislav Sucharda in their funds. On the basis of the research, the thesis will be confirmed or refuted that this part of the private-owned photographical collection of the Stanislav Sucharda's Foundation was used by the sculptor purely for his creative activities and were not the representations of his work. Consequently, the key role of photographing Sucharda's sculpture and the confirmation of whether Stanislav Sucharda himself photographed will be the key outline. In exploring the possibilities of Stanislav Sucharda's work and his co-operation with photographs, I will use the approach of comparison with Auguste Rodin's photographic collection, who was Sucharda's friend.

Architektura ve službách Československých aerolinií. Interiéry reprezentačních cestovních kanceláří ČSA a letiště Praha-Ruzyně v 60. letech / Architekture and Czechoslovak Airlines (ČSA). Interiors of ČSA Offices and Prague Ruzyně International Airport in the Sixties

Papežová, Petra January 2017 (has links)
In the 1960s Czechoslovak Airlines (ČSA) set up offices in the countries to which they operated regular flights. ČSA branches abroad were to match high standards of other airlines premises. In those years travelling by air was still regarded a luxury. ČSA had to take these facts into consideration. The same group of architects, designers and artists who participated in the design of ČSA branch offices took also part in the outline of the new Prague Ruzyně international airport checking-in hall. This thesis aims to depict some former, now vanished, ČSA premises. In the 1990s ČSA closed down some offices abroad and the Prague Ruzyně international airport checking- in hall (now Terminal 1) was completely reconstructed. Press and other articles, archive documents, monographies as well as information provided directly by architects, designers and artists or their relatives were used in order to describe some previous ČSA publicly accessible premises and works of art that they included. On the basis of ascertained facts, it is obvious that in the 1960s ČSA offices abroad were not only to promote the good company reputation but further fulfilled a political role to create a positive picture of the Czechoslovak Republic. ČSA offices were designed by groups around Karel Filsak and Jan Šrámek. Their signatures can...

České drama v době moderny: obrazy vůdce / Czech Drama in Early Modernism: The Portrayal of Leaders

Pospíšil, Jan January 2021 (has links)
The thesis constitutes the analysis of selected Czech dramas from the beginning of the 20th century representing various portrayals of national leaders. In my view, the dramas are Apollonian images of a kind representing the dreams of their creators about the strength and greatness, both individual and national. That is because, on one hand, the national leader is an exceptional individual, an exquisite human specimen and as such he or she corresponds to Nietzsche's characterization of a tragic hero as the highest phenomenon of the will. But at the same time, he or she is a national educator. Individual works represent various forms of how the leader educates and edifies the nation and whether he or she leads by command or by example. The dramas show us the leaders, who not only tame, purify, but also urge to growth those, whom they lead. The approach of the Czech playwrights is essentially mythopoetic. Their works constitute contributions to the creation or re-creation of national mythology, in other words, they deal with the meaning of the existence of the nation, or the national condition. They represent a dialogue or a polemic with one particular national mythology formed at the time that of T. G. Masaryk as he stated it in his works Česká otázka (1895), Naše nynější krise (1895), and Jan Hus...

Sedláčková, Lenka January 2016 (has links)
The main body of this work concerns cultural as in Vlašim after the second world war from 1945 to 1989. There are four specific groups that can be categorized as cultural associations; a nature group Mr. Vlasak group, Blaník Vlašim Choir and an amateur theatre group and friends of fine arts Vlašim. The first three clubs date comfortably within our choose era and they are important to deepen our knowledge of cultural societies of that time. To understand the history of these various cultural societies in Vlašim, it is necessary to broader our perspective. When we see these cultural groups in the context of the development of federal activities, we can see how the town was guided in its development. The majority of the research has been done using archival material from Museum Podblanicka, the Prague Regional Archive and also the Benešov State Archive. Added to this were other written historical accounts of the time as well as interviews conducted with knowledgable first hand sources. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
