Financial inclusion and microfinance in the Central America

Berežný, Peter January 2017 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to investigate both theoretically and empirically the potential of financial inclusion in the Central American countries. The topic of microfinance is discussed as it is one of the most important tools for the poor. The emphasis is put on developing the theoretical model of how financial inclusion is able to tackle the developing problems of the region. Furthermore, we study the development and current status of the microfinancial market. We find that the financial inclusion negatively correlates with the inequality. The Central American microfinancial market is very responsive to the legislative changes and along with the technological advances the advances can be made in the future.

Kredibilitní přístupy k výpočtu rezerv na pojistná plnění / Credibility approach to claims reserves calculation

Dzugas, Erik January 2012 (has links)
In this work we summarize the various techniques of claims reserves evaluating which consist in estimate of the future uncertain and hardly antici- pated loss development. It appears that the methods which are based on some credibility formula bring in the mean squared error sense the most accurate results. We consider this in the text derived conclusion very relevant and con- tributing, therefore we illustrate and present it on the numerical example. The calculations are introduced in the attached charts that build the important sup- plement of the text. The topic of this work follows up the content of Nonlife Insurance and Risk Theory lectures, therefore this text can be useful also for the students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics to extend their knowledge. 1

Lov a jeho právní úprava / Hunting and its legal regulation

Bubelíny, Ľubomír January 2014 (has links)
Presented dissertation thesis focuses on legal regulation of hunting in the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Poland and Germany. Due to the fact that the hunting legislation is largely a matter of national law, the work discusses about the fundamental institutes of legal regulation of hunting wild animals (games and fishes). Institutes common to all the countries are the term "game" and the protection of the gene pool. Along with legal regulation of hunting shall be considered property right and its relation to the enforcement of hunting or fishing rights. The common feature of all the legislation is to determine the conditions under which natural persons may hunt or fish, hunting periods, hunting methods, and regulation of the establishment and use of hunting districts. National legislation of hunting and fishing, as is the case in other areas of law, cannot be isolated from the effects of international law and EU law, therefore work also provides an overview of the basic acts of international and supranational law affecting hunting and fishing. In conclusion, the work offers the author's de lege ferenda opinions.

Gramatikalizace adjektiva "like": procesy a jejich hranice / Grammaticalisation of the adjective "like": processes and boundaries

Valentínyová, Kristína January 2017 (has links)
4 ABSTRACT This thesis provides a description of the incipient grammaticalization of like between the end of the Old English period and the beginning of the Middle English period. During the examined time period, like was gradually losing the attributes that defined its categorial status as an adjective and began to function as the head of a prepositional phrase. Since the process of grammaticalization is inherently gradual, both the adjectival and the prepositional like were found to coexist as a result of the process of layering. Therefore, 10 parameters were established to determine which instances of like were more adjective-like and which were more preposition- like. The empirical part is based on the analysis of the 371 instances of the OE variants of like found in The York-Toronto-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Old English Prose (YCOE) and the 232 instances of the ME variants of like found in The Penn-Helsinki Parsed Corpus of Middle English, second edition (PPCME2). The sample is examined from the morphological as well as the syntactic point of view. Compared to the YCOE corpus, the findings in the PPCME2 corpus revealed a more advanced stage of grammaticalization. While some of the changes are not specific to like and affected other adjectives as well (the loss of inflectional endings, the fixed...

Dunaj: cesta, paměť, město a smrt / Danube: journey, memory, city and death

Satinská, Lucia January 2011 (has links)
MA thesis Danube: Journey, Memory, City and Death is, to a certain extent, a personal search for today's meaning of the river Danube in literature and culture. Practically, it contains texts from the antiquity until today, not chronologically, but in motivic spirals of journey, memory, city and death. It is geographically linked especially to German-Austrian, Slovak and Hungarian space. The chapters are buoy-like, because together they form the characteristics of Danubian culture, which are border, appropriation, palimpsest quality, and pleasure seeking. The chapter about journey deals predominantly with searching for Danube's identity and the character of traveler. The chapter about memory analyses chosen places of memory and certain historical figures. The third chapter, dedicated to Danubian metropoli (Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest), searches for common traits of their soul, which are realized through the concepts of border, pleasure and bridge. The last chapter about death in Danube deals with both images of death and river beings - fairies and nymphs. The whole text represents certain literary-cultural anthropology of Danube.

Středoanglické prefigované adjektivní inovace domácího původu (1200-1400) / Middle English adjectival innovations of native origin (1200-1400) formed by prefixation

Ortutayová, Dominika January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse and describe the Middle English adjectival innovations of native origin coming into existence by prefixation in the period of 1200-1400. The formations are described from the point of view of their word-formation and semantics, the individual word- formation patterns are identified and analysed in terms of their productivity. In the theoretical part we present three points of view - social, typological and word-formational - which allow us to formulate our hypothesis consisting in the assumption that the native prefixation will exhibit gradual signs of decreasing productivity, brought about both by the language-external and language-internal causes - the language being overwhelmed by the an influx of foreign elements due to political and social situation at the time; as well as gradual phonological and semantic non- transparency of the native prefixes. The empirical part is based on the analysis of the 219 adjectives retrieved from the Oxford English Dictionary. Our results show that 7 out of 13 prefixes are decreasing in productivity or unproductive, yet the situation is not homogeneous and we were able to identify eight possible scenarios of development in productivity patterns. Our hypothesis is thus confirmed only partially - both the extra and...
