My final work recognizes the syndrom known as psychological deprivation and subdeprivation. The theoretical part is aimed at defining the concept of psychological deprivation and subdeprivation and then focused on professor´s Matějček research, on whose methods and results is based the whole work. The empirical part of the research deals with a specific degree of psychological deprivation and subdeprivation in the constitutional institutions and families, and its detailed analysis.

Dissertation serves for a cognition of a syndrom called psychological deprivation and subdeprivation. The theoretical part is used as defining specification the basic terms referring to the psychological deprivation, its characteristics and its manifestation. Part of the dissertation is also devoted to the subject of a substitute family case and children?s home as well. The practical part deals with the concrete research. There are two groups compared here ( children from the children?s home and children from functioning families ). These groups are mutually compared and evatuated on the basis of results achieved in a research of Prof. Matějček.

This dissertation deals with the question whether there is in the course of time some change in the background and atmosphere of the children´s homes herewith the children ´s psyche because of the stay in such institutions. This work targets the children from children´s homes, the children from families and the tests made with them. This dissertation is divided into two parts {--} theoretical nad practical. The theoretical part deals with terminology, explanation of terms and bringing into the history of the children´s homes. This part of work also describes today´s types of the institutional upbringing, their insufficiencies and it discusses also the psyche of those children, who has passed through these upbringing institutions. The practical part is divided into the parts accordant with the tests of the experimental and the control groups. Due to these tests it is verified whether the children from the experimental group suffer from subdeprivation and wheteher there is a difference between the experimental and the control groups.

Annotation: The thesis name The children from orphanages and their integration into the class group is focused on taking the role of student by children from orphanages. The thesis is divided into a theoretical, methodological and practical part. The theoretical part is devoted to family, school roles and long-term researches of Matějček and Langmeier on the psychological deprivation and sub-deprivation. The methodology section contains objectives of the thesis and structure of the research project. The practical part examined differences in the conception of the role of pupil children from orphanages and children from family care using observational, questionnaire and socio-metric method and verifies that the monitored pupils from the orphanage have difficulties with social integration into the class group. The aim of my dissertation is to provide a look into the subdeprivation phenomena in contemporary child care institutions (children{\crq}s homes, foster care). The theoretical part is focused on defining of basic concepts related to psychological deprivation, defining of psychological needs of children and psychological deprivation displays. Further, it deals with children{\crq}s homes issues, with some kinds of foster family care and with the unwanted children matter. The practical part focuses on the aim of the work. There are compared three children groups (children growing up in a functional family, children from children{\crq}s homes and children from foster care). There are described the findings that were gained from selected tests and observations. In the end the outcomes were evaluated.

This diploma paper is devoted to the problem of children in surrogate families from the teachers´ point of view. Upbringing of a child in a surrogate family ( adoptive or foster) has its own specifies and cause a numer of problems, which result from the possible deprivation of a child over the years of his early development. Education and preparation for chool have thein own specifice as well. That is why teachers schould have sufficient knowledge in this spere. In the theoretic part of my work I focus on the characteristics of surrogate family care, on the problem of psychic deprivation and subdeprivation, thein reasons, demonstration and diagnostics. This work is also devoted to the probleme of the education of mentally deprivated children. The survey was carried out by the help of focus groups. The aim of the survey was to find out the level of teachers´awareness of surrogate family care, thein positions, opinions, expectations, experience and understanding the questions of psychic deprivation and subdeprivation. We carried out the survey in two groups: teachers with work experience and future teachers (students). The next part of the work contains the casuistry of two foster families aimed at effective cooperation between family and school. The obtained results could be a starting point for another research and a source of topics for possible suplement to the education program of padagogical studies.

The thesis Cooperation of governmental and non-governmental sector in the care of neglected children has theoretical and research nature and is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The first chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the child neglect in the family. In addition to defining the concept are given the educational implications of child neglect in the family, its risk factors and failure of family in relation to child neglect. The second chapter deals with governmental and non-governmental sector entities, intervening in the area of child neglect. Attention is focused on social work in the department of social and legal protection of children, NGOs working with endangered families and children and socio-educational work with children at risk of neglect in selected schools and school facilities. The third chapter deals with the cooperation of governmental and non-governmental entities in the area, factors that affect their cooperation and rehabilitation of the family as an effective intervention in the family of the endangered child.
