The main objective of thesis is to empirically assess the level of social capital in relation to the development of the city. First, the thesis discusses the theoretical framing of the concept of social capital; it also deals with the topic of regional development and its conditionality, including the issue of the development of small and medium-sized towns. The second part is devoted to a quantitative analysis of social capital and regional development in all Czech small and medium-sized towns. The last part presents detailed qualitative research on social capital, specifically the results of case studies observed at the level of comparable towns Týn nad Vltavou and Třeboň. In these case studies, key equalities and differences of social capital in connection with the formation of the city were identified. We also confirm the importance of social capital as one of many factors that determines the territorial development. The topic of the master thesis is the history of the village of Bukovec near Horšovský Týn, beginning with the early 18th century to the half of 19th century. The timeframe was chosen on the one hand with the consideration to the already written history of the village until the late 17th century, while the other boundary was defined by the revolutionary year of 1848, which brought major changes in the functioning of municipalities and their governments. Bukovec was a part of the large Trauttmansdorffs' dominion with its centre in Horšovský Týn throughout the specified period. It was also the seat of the parish: The analysis of manor and parish documents allows largely understand the social and economic ties within the village, and outline its historical development in the described period. At the beginning of my thesis, the risk of floods in the territory of the Czech Republic is generally characterized which is followed by basic legal documents governing flood protection. The characteristics of the territory on which this thesis focuses is presented in the next section, which is describes in detail the administrative district of the municipality with extended powers (MEP) of Týn nad Vltavou, the basic description of its hydrological basin and waterways and, of course, the flood profile of the individual municipalities. The following section explains the term of flood, classification of floods and a detailed description of flood risks within detail the administrative district of the MEP of Týn nad Vltavou emphasizing the risk of formation a special flood. This is followed a list of complex activities and measures aimed at preventing and eliminating the threats to the health, lives and property of the citizens, society and the environment during floods. It also discusses planning in the field of flood protection and the classification of flood plans. Emphasis is placed on the documentation of flood protection of the administrative district of the MEP of Týn nad Vltavou that is associated with the activities of flood protection authorities. The section discusses in detail their activities during floods as well as when there are no floods. The function of flood committee of the MEP Týn nad Vltavou is mentioned detailing the description of activities of its individual members. The objectives of this thesis were aimed at finding out about the level of prepared flood protection documentation processed, analysing the activities of flood protection authorities and examining their knowledge about the issue of flooding. All the objectives were directed to the administrative district of the MEP Týn nad Vltavou and its flood protection authorities. Through a sociological survey among the flood protection authorities of the administrative district of the MEP Týn nad Vltavou that was conducted in the form of an anonymous questionnaire testing their knowledge in the field of flood protection. The results obtained were subjected to statistical evaluation, which, together with graphical representation, is of part of the thesis.

In my diploma thesis I have mainly focused on the transferred authority - it is that agenda which was delegated by the state. By this way I have extended my bachelor thesis where I especially wrote about the separate authority of the area and the elections for the local authority. I have pointed out the related problems, as the questions of finance and cooperation on particular levels of the civil service. In the beginning of my thesis I have engaged the theoretical part about the origins of the local and district administration, the development of the political administration and finally I have engaged some biograms about the famous representatives of the area. The next main part of my thesis is dedicated to the laws that were issued for the area in provincial and of the empire codes of law. Then I have completed the elections to the local school council and to the particular departments of the local authority. I have mainly derived from the methods of the school in Brno which is leaded by Lukáš Fasora, Jiří Malíř and Jiří Hanuš.

The diploma thesis Provincial Courts in 16th Century Portrayals in Bohemia deals with portrayals of the higher provincial courts sessions in Bohemia in the 16th century as well as with their typology. In this time arose mural paintings, which decorated representative spaces of some residences which belonged to the prominent nobleman families, pictures and graphics which illustrated treatises with law themes. The aim of this thesis is to map these portrayals, compare them and set them into the cultural-historical context.

Abstract.docx 1/1 Abstract This thesis is focused on the living conditions of the serf population in the West Bohemian domain of Horšovský Týn beetween 17th and 19th centuries. The core of this work is in the 17th century. The geografical area of the domain was defined in the Tax Rule - the city, fifty- four villages and five partial villages. This paper consists of four basic sections. In the first section you can find the overview of the main literature regarding this topic. The second one is dedicated to the brief historical and territorial development of the domain and to the characteristic of the administrative and economic circumstances. The demografical structure of the domain in the 17th century is described in depth in the third section. This analysis was done on the basis of the register of the serf people classified according to their religion. The focus is partially dedicated to the social structure as well, mainly to the houseless lodgers and servants. The typology and composition of the households is discussed briefly. Above that, there is an approximation of population in the domain Horšovský Týn from the mid 17th until the end of 19th century. This work deals with the life and work of historian, educator, and priest Josef Sakař. Josef Sakař is one of the most prominent Týn nad Vltavou natives. His monumental four-volume work, The History of the town Tyn nad Vltavou and the Surrounding Area, includes the building blocks of South Bohemian regional history. Even though the greater balance of the work was written in the 1930s, to this day it has not been surpassed. Pardubice, like Týn nad Vltavou, owes much to Josef Sakař. It is the city where he spent most of his productive years and where he worked as a secondary school teacher. He wrote his major works here, among them a six-volume history of Pardubice nad Labem. Josef Sakař's activity was more than merely regional: for his efforts to protect historical monuments he was appointed (as the only one of thirty candidates from across the country) an honorary member of the Club for Old Prague in 1925.This thesis analyzes and compares sources, and it determines the importance and value of key events, family ties, friends and personalities that influenced Josef Sakař's life. For 21st-century educators, the thesis looks for inspiration that can be taken from his life and works. The work focuses on Josef Sakař's relationships with relatives, his life's story and activities in Týn nad Vltavou and Pardubice. It is organized chronologically, from his birth to his death. The last part concerns itself with seeking traces of evidence of Josef Sakař in contemporary life. A separate section is devoted to an analysis of four of his key works. The work includes all biographical data and important life milestones of Josef Sakař and contains a complete bibliography.

This thesis offers an introduction to the issue of social agriculture, explains this concept, defines theoretical basis, specifics, sources of financing social agriculture. It describes the state of social farming in the Czech Republic and abroad. The practical part de-scribes the Czech social farm Dvůr Čihovice, the description is supplemented with a SWOT analysis. This farm is compared with similarly oriented foreign farm in the United Kingdom, whose image is constructed from the survey.

This thesis processes a database of technical monuments in the city of Týn nad Vltavou and its surroundings. There was made a survey and controlled interviews with local businessmen and on its basis two plans of tourist routes and one cycle route were created. These plans of technical monuments include also its financing and project of new bike rentals.
