Aplikace procesního systémového inženýrství / Application of process system engeneering

Hrncsjarová, Hana January 2017 (has links)
The master’s thesis is focused on familiarization with modern techniques and procedures of process system engineering for identification of energy savings. In this case, process system engineering is applied to the issue of heat exchanger networks and in order to save energy, their retrofit is solved here. The current network pinch method, which uses mathematical programming options, is described for the retrofit of the heat exchanger networks. The method is presented in comparison to older development methods, mainly with the PDM. In addition, the calculation procedure is also developed by this method and in the Maple software environment it is applied to the case of heat exchanger network retrofit in the process of hydrogenation refining of oil. Part of the thesis is an evaluation of the results obtained, including a discussion of the properties of the method used.

Štencl, Roman January 2017 (has links)
This master’s thesis deals with influence of heat source on the value of the apartment building. The introduction describes the calculation of heat losses, types of heating systems, heating elements, heat sources for heating and hot water, methods of market valuation. Further are chosen two variants of heat sources for heating and domestic hot water for the Domino apartment building. Both heating elements are designed to cover the heat losses of the house. At the end of the thesis is an evaluation of the return of a more expensive variant, but cheaper to operate, profit from sale and profibility on rent of the apartment building.

Optimální aplikace kaskádního zapojení tepelných čerpadeL / Optimalize Application of Cascade Convection of a Heat Pumps

Hrnčíř, Zdeněk January 2008 (has links)
The introductory part of this diploma work contains a basic thought for the application of the heat pumps cascade connection and further I describe its function and define the notion of an optimum middle temperature. Then the direct comparison of two heats pumps cascade connection with an one-stage heat pump is shown there in a concrete example. The main part of the work is aimed to the determination of the most suitable variant for the heating and for the preparation of a hot service water in a benchmark family house. The systems of heatings are provided in options of a low-temperature floor heating and hot-water radiators. Both types of the heat pumps supply the warm to every heating system. It results into four possibles alternatives of the building heating.Besides of the alternatives mentioned above, a new variant of optimalised cascade connection was arisen during this work elaboration . The first stage of this connection which supplies the warm to the floor heating is disconnected out of the heating season and the second stage provides only a hot service water warming. The results of this work showed us that just this variant of a cascade connection causes savings in energy in comparison with an one-stage heat pump. In the conclusion of this work there are discussed the reached results and indicated the possibilities of a practical exploitation.

Klimatizace administrativní budovy / Air - conditioning of office building

Birhanzl, Petr January 2011 (has links)
The thesis describes the various ventilation and air conditioning systems used to maintain suitable, temperature-humidity parameters of air in office buildings. The thesis deals with their advantages and disadvantages and assessing the suitability of using several systems for the application. The main task is to choose the most suitable system and it's calculation. For the actual system design is needed to detect a heat loss and gains the specified object and calculate the minimum amount of ventilation air. There will also be given psychrometric calculation of a device and drawing documentation, including draft of an engine room.

Vliv zateplení objektu na návrh zdroje tepla / Influence of thermal insulation on the building proposal heat

Šverák, Jakub January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the influence of building insulation to design of the heat source. The theoretical part describes the historici evolution of the construction, insulation origins and basic concepts associated with heat loss calculations. Introduction to the practical part describes possible wals of rating proposal and construction and technical description of the new residential building Cacovická. The main part deals with "Influence of thermal insulation on the building proposal heat" performed in two different variants. Finally work is a comparison of the two variants and evaluation of lower cost options.

Příprava a strukturní stabilita nanokrystalických tepelných bariér / Processing and Structural Stability of Nanocrystalline Thermal Barrier Coatings

Jech, David January 2018 (has links)
Complex thermal barrier coating systems are one the most efficient high-temperature surface treatments which open up practical applications in land-based turbines and air jet engines. In the case of most exposed rotor and stator jet engine components, the combination of thermal barrier coatings together with the inner cooling system made it possible to increase working temperature by several tens of degrees of Celsius. Nevertheless, it is very difficult to achieve any further increase in working temperature by using the conventional thermal barrier coatings based on the ZrO2-Y2O3 ceramic top coat and the MCrAlY metallic bond coat, which currently work at their material limits. The working temperature inside the combustion chamber of the jet engine is proportional to engine’s efficiency and inversely proportional to fuel consumption and production of undesirable CO2 emission. Therefore, a considerable effort has recently been devoted to research and development of new types of ceramic coatings that can withstand long term extreme working conditions. New design approaches of multi-layer composite thermal barrier coating systems can sustain the required trend of increasing working temperature of jet engines mainly because of possibility of optimization of high-temperature durability and long lifetime. The theoretical part of thesis provides a fundamental overview of thermal barrier coatings, their properties, deposition technologies and testing methods. The experimental part is focused on optimization of deposition parameters of conventional ZrO2-Y2O3 / MCrAlY thermal barrier coatings prepared by means of atmospheric plasma spraying. Furthermore, a novel multi-layer thermal barrier coating system based on ZrO2-Y2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 / ZrO2-Y2O3 / MCrAlY, which contains amorphous and/or nanocrystalline regions, is developed, tested and characterized as well. Structural stability, phase transformations and growth of the thermally grown oxide in both conventional and experimental systems after high-temperature isothermal oxidation, cyclic oxidation and burner-rig tests were evaluated by means light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy with energy-dispersive microanalysis and X-ray diffraction. In comparison with the conventional thermal barrier coatings, the novel multi-layered systems have lower thermal conductivity, slower thermally grown oxide kinetic, better structural stability, and generally higher lifetime in all high-temperature tests.

Experimentální ověření kogeneračního systému na bázi plynové mikroturbíny / Experimental verification of a gas micro-turbine cogeneration system

Buřil, Lukáš January 2019 (has links)
This master’s thesis deals with problematics of natural gas microturbine integration into industrial laundry operation. This integration means utilization of waste heat for direct drying and water heating in a heat exchanger. This heated water can be used in further laundry processes, for example laundering. All the experiments were carried out on the cogeneration system that is installed in Laboratory of Energy Intensive Processes in NETME Centre at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Brno University of Technology. This system consists of a natural gas microturbine Capstone C30 with nominal electric power of 30 kW, an industrial dryer Primus DX55 with a nominal capacity of 55 kg for laundry and a heat exchanger Vakading type Vakavlas with nominal power of 53 kW. All necessary theoretical and technical preparation was done in order to carry out experiments as follows: • Standard drying program • Water accumulation test • Test of performance of heat exchanger • Direct drying with the use of microturbine’s flue gases These experiments were analyzed and discussed within this thesis. The main contribution of this work is as follows: • Summary of all the knowledge in the area of direct drying • Creation of methodology of utilization of flue gases for direct drying not only in laundry industry but in related fields • Summary of requirements and ways of heat exchanger testing and determination of heat exchanger parameters • Determination of optimal working settings of installed cogeneration system • Description of weak spots in the system and suggested improvements • Basic economic analysis of operating costs During the experiments, it was found that in case of direct drying better results could be achieved in comparison with standard drying. The functionality of the whole system together with the heat exchanger was verified and thus also the possibility of integrating the turbine into the washing process was confirmed. The integration of a natural gas microturbine is both technically and economically feasible for many industrial applications.
