Time Frame and its Impact on Commodity Trading Advisor Performance

Thomas, Nordia D 03 May 2004 (has links)
This thesis explores the idea that time frame is an important determinant of commodity trading advisor (CTA) performance. Results allow us to reject the hypothesis that short-term price movements may be due only to noise, thus CTAs will have the same performance regardless of time frame. Using several performance measures and multi-factor models we find instead that CTAs who focus on short-term price changes are better positioned to benefit from advances in financial information processing and trade execution technology.

Možnosti využití úkolově orientovaného přístupu v praxi OSPOD / Application possibilities of a task centred aprroach in the department of social and legal protection of children practice

Sedláková, Eliška January 2019 (has links)
140 Abstract GOALS: Intention of my diessertation work was to answer the main research question: "What is the utilazation rate of TCA when working with involuntary clients of social workers from CPS in the capital city of Prague and selected CPS in Vysocina region?". Theoretical starting-points: Basic signs of TCA are partnerships and strenghten. In terms of TCA the success depends on How people can actively participate and understand the process of helping. Clients role is active and he is participating everything what has been happening in the whole process of helping. Task centered approach says, that experience from your own decision is more usefull then just assuming how the future situation could be. TCA holds the idea, which just a little success build up self-confidence and self-esteem. Accomplishing of goals and achieving of another goal motivates a client. When smaller goals are set up there is a much more chance for possitive result of the whole advisory process. METHODS: Semistructured questionnaire has been used. The questionnaire have 47 questions, which are based on operationalization of main research question. RESULTS: The outcome of questionnaire investigation method is that the workers don`t use TCA, but in general in their practice we are able to identify some of the elements of approach.

Pereira, Rodrigo Clemente de Brito 27 March 2017 (has links)
Submitted by ANA KARLA PEREIRA RODRIGUES (anakarla_@hotmail.com) on 2017-09-29T16:10:00Z No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 1122632 bytes, checksum: c09cad1d7d1c0fab88b117bcd2ea8ab6 (MD5) / Made available in DSpace on 2017-09-29T16:10:00Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 arquivototal.pdf: 1122632 bytes, checksum: c09cad1d7d1c0fab88b117bcd2ea8ab6 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2017-03-27 / In Raposa Serra do Sol Case, the STF has established the thesis that the indigenous communities only have the rights of the lands they traditionally occupy, if such occupation could be verified on the date of the promulgation of the Constitution of 1988. This work aims to verify whether this unique time frame for the identification and demarcation of indigenous lands resists to a test of application of the principle of primacy of the most favorable norm. This principle is provided for in various human rights treaties, can be drawn from the constitutional principle of the prevalence of human rights and is applied in international and domestic jurisprudence. It establishes that law interpreters must, among plurality of normative documents and interpretations on them, seek the solution that guarantees the highest degree of protection of the human being in the concrete case, thus prohibiting the decrease of a standard of protection already achieved in the international or domestic plan. The analysis of the problem starts from the premise that the identification of the most favorable norm is a process of normative concretion that, in general, has to consider the principle of proportionality as well as other guidelines such as the international interpreters understanding, the countermajoritarian function of human rights and the principles of maximum effectiveness and prohibition of retrocession. In this sense, we will examine the issue considering each of these approaches, exploring the jurisprudence of the Inter-American Court of Human Rights, based on the precedents in which it applied the pro persona principle and in which it dealt with indigenous land issues. Finally, we will assess the implications of applying the principle of primacy of the most favorable norm in the interaction between domestic law and the IHRL, in order to demonstrate that, if the establishment of a specific time frame for the characterization of indigenous lands does not resist to a test of application of such principle, it becomes possible and necessary a constitutional mutation on the subject.

Distributed P2P Data Backup System / Distributed P2P Data Backup System

Mészáros, István January 2013 (has links)

Využití logistiky ve výrobním podniku / The use of logistics in a manufacturing company

BODLÁKOVÁ, Alena January 2012 (has links)
The graduation thesis deals with the use of logistics in the brewery Pivovar Protivín a. s. The paper presents a view of the current situation of Czech breweries in the Czech Republic as well as in the world. It maps the trends of recent years in the brewing industry and shows how Czech breweries have faced up the economic crisis. The results of Pivovar Protivín are presented and compared with the results of Svijany brewery. The distribution of Protivín brewery products is analyzed. Based on the analysis, the time frame of beer delivery to customers is made. Further on, the questions of the packaging management in Protivín brewery are dealt with. Breweries are specific for complex and expensive reverse logistics of returnable packaging. The question whether producing beer in PET bottles would be appropriate for Protivín brewery is studied. Determining the level of services provided for brewery customers is examined. According to the results presented here, the greatest demands on services provided by breweries appeared to be those by the customers in gastronomy sphere. Based on the questionnaire investigation, the standards in providing brewing services were set together. Finally, I suggested possible improvements that should lead to cost savings, greater flexibility of operations and competitive advantages for the Protivín brewery as well as for the whole K Brewery Group.
