Ukrainisch-polnische Musikkontakte in Galizien in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts

Kyyanovska, Luba 30 May 2018 (has links)

Dne 8.5.2011 podpis …………………………… Bc.Alžběta Chmelařová Abstract This thesis discussed factors that influence the process of integration into the European Union and sought to answer a question which of the two most frequently used meta-theories dealing with European integration, rationalism or social constructivism, can better capture the dynamics of EU-Ukrainian relations. According to rationalists (liberal intergovernmentalists), interest in Ukraine is based on pure cost/benefit calculation and on the level of economic interdependence. According to constructivists, the main incentive for deeper integration is the level of democracy in the country, the extend of Europeaness of Ukraine.Without doubt, the process is a cocktail of norms and economic interests but what factors, material or normative, play main role...

Flajšhans, Ludvík January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this work is to determine the influence of nuclear weapons possession in 1) Russia's foreign policy in the Ukraine crisis, 2) relations between NATO and Russia. For this purpose the work monitors the development of NATO - Russia relations from the Budapest memorandum until present. The work also creates typology of russian signalling activities based on the theoretical basis of the nuclear deterrence conceptions and especially on the models of crisis signalling, which is closely linked to these conceptions. After monitoring these activities the work concludes that Russia is indeed using threats of nuclear weapons employment in the framework of it's attitude towards Ukraine crisis and also the intensity of signalling shows similar development as the relations with NATO.

Avoiding geopolitical self-destruction in the 21st century: How pragmatic idealism accounts for Sweden's neutrality in regards to its actions following the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea

Svanefalk, Niclas January 2019 (has links)
This thesis intended to examine how the actions of Sweden, following the 2014 Russian annexation of Crimea, fit within the international relations theoretical perspective of pragmatic idealism, focusing on the actions of Sweden's foreign policy that impacted its neutrality policy. This thesis is built upon the pragmatic idealism theoretical perspective of international relations, and attempted to address how this perspective accounted for, or failed to account for the actions of Sweden in the face of the escalating Russian threat. The analysis herein is grounded in case study methodology. First, the thesis examined how Sweden-Russia relations evolved in the wake of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Second, the thesis examined how Sweden-NATO relations changed after the 2014-15 annexation of Crimea by Russia. In both cases, the paper analysed how the evolution of these relationships affected Sweden's neutrality, and how the evolution was consistent or not consistent with the “pragmatic” and “idealist” dimensions of the theoretical perspective of pragmatic idealism. The culmination of this paper drew an inference of the applicability of the perspective of pragmatic idealism to Sweden's application of neutrality to international relations. It concluded that Sweden's neutrality both prior to and following the invasion, as well as its subsequent actions, were in line with the theoretical perspective of pragmatic idealism.

Dynamic interaction in a limited war : A single case study of the Russian-Ukrainian dynamic interaction in the conflict in eastern Ukraine

Doverholt, Tobias January 2022 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to explore the dynamics interaction between Russia and Ukraine in 2014-2015 to explain why the limited war did not escalate into a major war, which could also provide an explanation for the stalemate in the conflict today. This thesis argues that existing literature has not thoroughly examined the dynamic interaction between Russia and Ukraine. The theory of escalation was applied to the case, which focuses on salient limits in conflicts. By using qualitative content analysis, this thesis presents an analysis of the escalatory steps undertaken and the salient limits that Russia and Ukraine signalled to each other in the conflict. The main findings of this thesis suggest that neither Russia nor Ukraine wanted a major war. Both Russia and Ukraine took careful actions to keep the conflict within its salient limits that the states had agreed on through the bargaining process. Russia demanded that Donbas would remain an integral part of Ukraine. Therefore, it is likely that Russia only had the aim of destabilising Ukraine through the separatists to prevent Ukraine’s incorporation with the West and NATO.

Aspekte der 'Dumen' in den Sinfonien ukrainischer Komponisten

Iwantschenko, Witalij 15 June 2017 (has links)
