Využití kontrastní ultrasonografie ke sledování efektu léčby jaterních nádorů radiofrekvenčních ablací / Use the Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasoun in the Morning of the Effect of Liver Tumors Treatment by Radiofrequency ablationKorčáková, Eva January 2019 (has links)
Use the contrast-enhanced ultrasound in the monitoring of the effect of liver tumors treatment by radiofrequency ablation. Summary High quality imaging is crucial for the treatment of liver tumors by the percutaneous radiofrequency ablation. Imaging methods are used for planning, navigation of the intervention and monitoring after treatment. An early detection of residual tumor tissue or recurrence affect significantly the quality of life and life expectancy of the patients. Contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) seems to be a suitable method for monitoring the locoregional treatment mainly because zero radiation impact on patient and allows the highly accurate real-time assessment of vascularization. The aim of my work was to verify the ability of CEUS to detect residual tumor tissue or tumor recurrence in the field of changes after radiofrequency ablation. We evaluated the group of 73 patients, who were treated by radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for liver cancer. CEUS reached in our group the overal sensitivity 77.27 %, and in the group of colorectal cancer metastases 83.33 %. We compared CEUS with results of computed tomography (CT), which is the most commonly used method for monitoring the treatment. CEUS and CT results are similar. Based on this study, the CEUS appears to be a suitable method for monitoring...

CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE FACULTY OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT ADIPOSE TISSUE DISTRIBUTION BY PRESCHOOL CHILDREN- COMAPARATIVE STUDY ABSTRACT Head of the dissertation: Author: Prof. MUDr. Ivan Dylevský, DrSc. Mgr. Dominika Petrů Prague, 2014 Abstract The dissertation provides information about the distribution of subcutaneous adipose tissue in preschool-aged /5-6 years, n=141/ and younger school-aged children /8- 9 years, n=137/ in the Ústí region. In this review, we describe and evaluate the child's body with anthropometric parameters, skinfold, bioelectrical impedance analysis and selected sample /n=31/ with ultrasonography. We found an increased distribution of adipose tissue in older file with a concentration in the abdominal area and a higher reliability of skinfold than the BIA, considering the ultrasound examination. Key words: subcutaneous fat, skinfold, bioelectrical impedance analysis, ultrasonography

Vztah exprese markerů kloubního zánětu k aktivitě revmatoidní artritidy. / Markers of joint inflammation related to disease activity in rheumatoid arthritis.Hurňáková, Jana January 2018 (has links)
Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a common chronic autoimmune disorder characterised by persistent synovitis, typically manifested as symmetric polyarthritis of small hand joints with various extra-articular manifestations. Accurate disease activity measurement is a key component of RA management that facilitates therapeutic optimalization in order to slow down the disease progression and to prevent an irreversible joint damage. The aim of this work was to study the role of candidate serum inflammatory markers and their associations with the disease activity in patients with RA presented by traditional variables of disease activity as well as by musculoskeletal ultrasonography. Results: The first part of our work pointed out relationship between serum calprotectin and clinical as well as ultrasound activity in RA. We have revealed that serum calprotectin is an independent predictor of ultrasound synovitis. Moreover, we have demonstrated the potential of calprotectin to identify patients with residual activity in spite of achieving clinical remission. In the second part, we have provided a detailed analysis of 20 candidate serum markers and found out a tight associations between IL-6, IL-7, IL-22, IL-34, YKL-40, CXCL-13, MMP-3, resistin and visfatin with clinical and ultrasound activity....

Solubilizace v sonografickch syst©mech / Solubilization in sonographic systemsberall, Martin January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this thesis was to determine the solubilizing capacity of microbubbles based on SonoVue®, and phospholipids SonoVue® is made of, by using the UV-VIS spectrophotometry. The concentrations of solubilized substances within these systems was further determined. In particular, the properties of natrium dipalmitoylphosphatidylglycerole and distearoyl¬phosphatidylcholine were investigated. The microbubbles were produced using these phospholipids with the addition of polyethyleneglycol and palmitic acid. The solubilizing capacity was determined using hydrophobic solutes Sudan Red G, Oil Red O, 4-Di-2-Asp and Nile Red in order to obtain a model system of solubilized drugs or other hydrophobic substances. The behavior of solutes in phospholipids and our prepared microbubbles were examined in a moderately polar medium â physiological saline solution (0.15 M NaCl). The vizualization of prepared microbubbles was performed using optical and fluorescence microscopy. 4-Di-2-Asp, as a fluorescence probe, was not suitable for microbubble vizualization. The size of microbubbles that were produced during the experiment was almost the same as the size of microbubbles of commercially made SonoVue®. The concentration of solubilized hydrophobic solutes inside the liposomes of phospholipids ranged from tens to hundreds of micromoles per liter. With increasing concentration of phospholipids the concentration of solubilized solutes also increased. The results of this experiment can be used for further research focused on the solubilization of drugs in microbubbles, and contrast agents which are used in ultrasonography.

Účinky rázové vlny v léčbě tendinopatie Achillovy šlachy / The Effects of Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy in Treatment of Achilles TendinopathyKatolický, Jakub January 2021 (has links)
Diplomová práce Účinky rázové vlny v léčbě tendinopatie Achillovy šlachy 1 Abstract This thesis focuses on the observation of the effects of low-energetic focused extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) in the treatment of Achilles tendinopathy. The theoretical part summarizes the current knowledge of anatomical, histological, kinesiological and biomechanical aspects of Achilles tendon (AT), as well as pathological processes, which can be described as Achilles tendinopathy, their differential diagnosis and treatment options. Last but not least, we present up-to-date information on the physical principles and biological effects of ESWT, not only in the treatment of AT diseases. The main goal of our research was to determine the effectiveness of low-energetic focused ESWT in the treatment of Achilles tendinopathy in comparison to the placebo group. The subject of observation was not only changes in clinical manifestations, but also possible changes in the morphology of AT using ultrasonography (USG). Methods: A total of 20 patients with symptomatic Achilles tendinopathy was included in the study, while only 18 of them completed the entire program, and therefore only the results of these patients were evaluated. They were randomly divided into two groups in 1:1 ratio. Group A was treated by ESWT with...

Ultrazvuková korelace středně těžkého až těžkého syndromu karpálního tunelu / Median Nerve Ultrasonography Examination Correlates for the Diagnosis of Moderate to Severe Carpal Tunner SyndromePotužník, Pavel January 2021 (has links)
Median Nerve Ultrasonography Examination Correlates for the Diagnosis of Moderate to Severe Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the associations of cross-sectional area (CSA) of the median nerve measured by ultrasonography (US), the median to ulnar nerve ratio (MUR), the median to ulnar nerve difference (MUD) and the ratio of CSA of the median nerve to height squared (MHS) in relation to electrodiagnostic classification of moderate and severe carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) and thus to identify patients suitable for surgical treatment. Materials and Methods: A prospective study was conducted in patients aged ≥ 18 years who underwent both median and ulnar nerve US and electrodiagnostic studies (EDS). 124 wrists of 62 patients were examined. The patients' characteristics were acquired through a questionnaire. CTS was diagnosed using EDS and classified according to the guidelines of the Czech Republic Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. The CSA of the median nerve and of the ulnar nerve were measured at the carpal tunnel inlet, i.e. at the level of the pisiform bone. Results: The median nerve swells at the wrist in CTS. Median nerve CSA at the tunnel inlet ≥ 12mm2 correlates with electrodiagnostic classification of moderate to severe carpal tunnel syndrome. At...
