The dissertation surveys the use of expressions of futurality in professional economic texts (the linguistic part). In addition, it investigates didactic aspects of futurality in the process of English as a second language acquisition, focusing on undergraduates in the study programme B 6208 - Economy and Management (the didactic part). The topic was chosen on the basis of the author's empirical experience and the results of pre-tests in the target group. The research is based on a corpus-based linguistic study. Seven representative monographs written by native speakers were selected as a source of relevant information about the use of futural constructions in a written economic text. All the sources were explored by means of corpus query software and instances of selected futural constructions (will, shall, be going to, be about to, be on the point of, be (due) to and the present tense) were excerpted. Functions of the futural constructions were elaborted on the basis of the numerous excerpts and confronted with English for specific (economic) purpose textbooks that are used widely at Czech economic universities. The proper way to manage biological waste has only recently become a topic of discussion and the public still does not have enough information about it and does not have a comprehensive opinion. In order for bio-waste to be properly managed, knowledge of this topic and positive attitude towards it is necessary, in class this could be achieved by activating pupils through project based education. Teaching in projects is a great way to understand the issue, which can influence pupils' attitudes towards bio-waste management. The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a project on the topic of biodegradable waste, and then to find out how the knowledge and opinions of students about bio-waste have changed. The created project was verified at the lower secondary school, for which it is primarily intended. A total of 54 6th-year pupils was involved in this project. They were given a pretest before the start of the project, finding out the initial knowledge about bio-waste and their opinion on the classification of bio-waste. After the project, the pupils completed a posttest and by comparing the individual answers, it was determined whether and how the knowledge of the tested pupils and their attitude towards the topic changed. Abscract The topic of the master thesis is focused on the visualization of the Czech language curriculum as a foreign language. It summarizes the findings of the importance of images in the teaching process and the principles of its use. Individual chapters are devoted to didactic functions of the image, the relationship between image and text and the use of image specifics in foreign language teaching. Furthermore, presents graphical and pictorial means by which are teaching materials visualized. The work also focuses on visual media and their use in the classroom. Theoretical knowledge is applied in the practical part, which deals with research of the visual part of Czech textbooks for foreigners. Research part examines the didactic functions of the image, use of visual aids and presentation of vocabulary, grammar and cultural studies. The thesis also partially covers the issue of signaling grammar and didactic use of film clips. The thesis main focus is on practical advices and examples of how to integrate visualization elements into foreign language teaching and is intended for experts and for foreign language teachers.

Model Pohyblivé třídy v současné waldorfské škole / Movable Classroom Concept in contemporary Waldorf SchoolŠedivá, Marta January 2017 (has links)
This master thesis introduces innovative approach to teaching practice at Waldorf schools, the so called movable classroom. This model originates in German Waldorf schools, primarily from Rudolf Steiner Schule in Bochum. Its main specific is furnishing the classroom with movable equipment, which creates the possibility for greater variability in organizing the space by implementation of weekly outdoor learning and change in the timing set up of teaching units. The research question of this work is meaningfulness of the movable classroom model, it specifically concerns itself with the question, whether it is possible to observe the benefits of movable classroom model for physical, psychological, social and cognitive development of children, while teacher simultaneously takes into account the current limitations of this model. Following observation in the classrooms, which work according to this model and researching contemporary literature, individual categories of both benefits and risks have been specified. Through follow up interviews with teachers, these categories are verified and exactified through actual situations, the research question is answered and further possibilities for working with this model in Czech Waldorf schools are explored.

This diploma work deals with the issues of inquiry methods of teaching at primary schools. The theoretical part provides some reflections on contributions and limits of inquiry methods and defines basic inquiry skills. Activities concerning the theme "seeds, fruit, young plants" for the pupils of the 1.-4.grade are suggested in the practical part. Nine of them were tried out in classes. The results of the action research are summarized in the conclusion. They are related to these research questions: 1. How to adjust inquiry activities in a suitable way for their use in the given classes at primary schools? 2. How do children react to this work style? 3. What demands does this work style make on teachers? 4. What problems concerning partial inquiry skills could emerge? How to continue working at them?

The thesis is focused on the serviceability analysis of the various evaluation forms regarding the work with mistake of pupils during the Czech language classes. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the advantages and disadvantages of the different evaluation forms. It also covers with the various ways of interest of the varied evaluation forms in the pupils mistake together with its serviceability for another work. The practical part of the thesis deals with the serviceability analysis of the self-made evaluation papers. These papers concern evaluation and self-evaluation work of pupils at the work with mistake during the Czech language classes. This analysis is based on the results acquired from the testing of the papers in practise. The goal of the research was to get know the extent of serviceability of the papers as the instrument of the natural way of learning at the work with mistake.

This diploma thesis with the title Teaching objekts in the Czech language is theoretical work which compares realizations of targets in syntax area at elementaries schools. It observes realization of targets included in basic curriculum document of Czech Republic (the Framework Educational Program, theFEP)in school educational programs. It observes realization of targets included in the General Educational Program, the GEP by didactictextbooks. First part of this diploma thesis compares targets of the FEP and some documents which can inspirate teachers at teaching about syntax. These documents are the best-selling textbooks published at Alter, SPN and Fraus publishers and lessons about syntax published at metodical web by GEP (by web www.ceskeskolstvi.czfrom 1st of October 2012). There is an assumptioncreated on the base of their significance that their targets are the same as GEP's targets.
