1 Abstract The issues of criminal custody This thesis deals with theoritical issues of criminal custody, which is the gravest possible criminal procedural measure of law enforcement authorities whose purpose is to ensure a person during criminal proceedings. In the opening chapters of this thesis are outlined not only the issues of the very concept of criminal custody and relevant legislation, but also the basic principles and tenets, controlling criminal cases in which the defendant was remanded in custody, as well as the enshrinement of the right to personal freedom and security and the possibility of its limitations, both at the level of the Czech legal regulation of constitutional character, as well as from the perspective of international human rights standards. The thesis is also focused on the issue of the substantive detention law, therefore the legislation of the reasons for custody and conditions of detention, as well as the issue of the procedural detention law, therefore the legislation of procedural aspects of decisions on custody in criminal proceedings in the wider concept. My thesis was designed to further assess the impacts of introduction of the euro in Czech Republic on exporters with a closer focus on foreign currency risk and the possibility of its elimination.

This diploma thesis address to a contractual ensuring of an international transportation from the business and the legal points of view as a part of intenrational business operations. It describes the clasification of freight transports and its economic significance in the world an in the case of the Czech Republic, as well. The thesis also characterizes the different types of transport contracts from the points of view of the Czech legislation as well as international treaties that is the Czech Republic a part of, including the ways of ensuring the customs declaration of transported goods. The thesis also includes a practical part focused on specifics of a dangerous goods transportation and the analysis of the related risks.

Thesis shows progression of catastrophic events and their influence on insurance market. Insurance and reinsurance are connected to conception of catastrophes and therefore it is necessary that this thesis firstly presents key features and classification of notion catastrophe itself. For understanding of the notion is important to differentiate between nature and manmade disasters. Next part summarizes large-scale events in 2008, significant events in the past and disasters in Czech Republic. Catastrophic events are analyzed from various angles, but the most important one seems to be insured losses volume. The core of the thesis is concerned with explanation of the disaster trend and its consequences. Key problem of disaster insurance is connected to the question, how to cover catastrophic losses for both, individuals and insurance companies.

This thesis is focused on insurance business in Vietnam, life insurance and nonlife insurance market within the frame of past and present development. Important part of this thesis is also description of insurance intermediaries and reinsurance companies that are significant subjects in insurance market. Macroeconomic and sociodemographic conditions, in which insurance market operates, are described in first chapter. Vietnam insurance market is underdeveloped in comparison to European countries. On the other hand this sector is progressively developing and has large potential; especially in case government reforms will continue and will lead to international openness and free market economy in Vietnam.

This academic paper gives explanation the main points of the foreign exchange market and the FOREX risk management strategies that companies develop. Reading trough this paper we get a clear overview of the Foreign Exchange market, the main players and their function. Get a detailed picture of the Exchange rate system, its development and current status; Hedging strategies and the central roll they have in the foreign exchange risk management of companies.

The main focus of this work is on hedging of currency risks with special emphasis on the case of Czech export. In the first chapter, I create a motivation for further studying of the problem. I describe the state of export industries and the economy as a whole and how these aspects are connected to the exchange rates. In the second chapter, I explain how firms create their assumptions about future exchange rates. I also run a Monte Carlo analysis on historical data and come with predictions of my own. In the third chapter, I am discussing the relevance of using VaR models for estimating the maximum possible loss of funds due to unwanted moves in the exchange rate. Furthermore, I describe various instruments usable for hedging of currency exposure including forwards, options, swaps and other derivatives. In the final chapter of this work, I am asking financial and sales directors of 51 Czech firms about how currency risks influence their businesses and how they protect themselves against these threats.

The thesis is focused on the management of trade receivables. The first part of the thesis deals with the definition of trade receivables and describes their importance to the company. In the following section it is mentioned the significance of internal directive, related evidence and valuation of trade receivables with an emphasis on accounting and tax issues from the perspective of the Czech legislation. The next chapter is devoted to the entire process of management of trade receivables. There are described particular sections of the process from securing receivables to debts collection. In the fourth part there are solved overdue receivables and their accounting and tax solutions. In the conclusion I analyze management of trade receivables in a particular company.

The aim of my thesis is to propose a financing structure for the selected company and then process the credit application. The first part is focused on the strategy of the bank, lending products and the risks that the bank undertakes. Also contains a description of the credit process - the calculation of a credit rating, financing structuring, collateral, covenants determination and processing of credit application. The thesis analyses the specifics of the pharmaceutical industry. Theoretical knowledge is applied to the example of financing of pharmaceutical company and the preparation of a credit application.

The Diploma thesis is focused on possibilities of an assessment of a hydraulic switchboard and its manufacturing process. Furthermore, it analyses methods individually which are suitable for quality assurance and production reliability, which are described in details. The follow-up work focuses more on the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method which is applicable in the early warning system and the Failure mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA) method, applicable in the planning system. These two methods are further applied to the newly introduced process of machining the hydraulic switchboard as an effective tool not only for assessing the reliability of production, but also for its subsequent securing and maintaining in a relevant condition.
