Aplikace neuronových sítí ve zpracování obrazu / Application of neural net in image processingNagyová, Lenka January 2014 (has links)
This work focuses on the theory of artificial neural networks: the history, individual ways of learning and architecture of networks. It is also necessary to desribe the image processing blocks from scanning and image processing through segmentation to object recognition. The next part is focused on connecting the previous two parts, and therefore on the use of neural networks in image processing, specifically the identification of objects. In the practical part of the work is designed the user application for recognizing characters such as numbers, uppercase and lowercase letters.

Notace - zápis českého znakového jazyka / Notation of Czech Sign LanguageOkrouhlíková, Lenka January 2012 (has links)
The thesis deals with possibilities of recording sign language vocabulary, especially the possible ways of notation of Czech sign language signs. The introductory chapter describes the first attempts to put the data down on paper in the 18th and 19th century in Europe. These ones were the first verbal descriptions of signs, sign notations and signs drawn in figures. Furthermore, the chapter gives a detailed description of the first notation system based on linguistic principles - William Stokoe's notation system, which was established in 1960 for American sign language and has become a basis and inspiration for many other notation systems which are also briefly described. A great deal of the paper is focused on possible ways to record Czech sign language lexicon. First, the thesis describes the "non- notational" ways of recording signs that were previously used in papers dealing with Czech sign language - description, figures, photographs, videos and computer simulations. After these, we focus on the particular standardized notational systems that can be used for our purposes - Czech notation system for sign language and its modifications, the Edinburgh non- manual notation system, Hamburg notation system, SignWriting and Berkeley transcription system. The last chapter provides an evaluation of...

Detekce a rozpoznání registrační značky vozidla pro analýzu dopravy / License Plate Detection and Recognition for Traffic AnalysisČerná, Tereza January 2015 (has links)
This thesis describes the design and development of a system for detection and recognition of license plates. The work is divided into three basic parts: licence plates detection, finding of character positions and optical character recognition. To fullfill the goal of this work, a new dataset was taken. It contains 2814 license plates used for training classifiers and 2620 plates to evaluate the success rate of the system. Cascade Classifier was used to train detector of licence plates, which has success rate up to 97.8 %. After that, pozitions of individual characters were searched in detected pozitions of licence plates. If there was no character found, detected pozition was not the licence plate. Success rate of licence plates detection with all the characters found is up to 88.5 %. Character recognition is performed by SVM classifier. The system detects successfully with no errors up to 97.7 % of all licence plates.

Změny ve výšce realizace znaků českého znakového jazyka vlivem koartikulace / Changes in height of articulation in Czech Sign Language affected by coarticulationLachmanová, Denisa January 2016 (has links)
This thesis focuses on changes in the height of articulation in Czech Sign Language affected by coarticulation. The theoretical base of the thesis originates from both Czech and foreign linguistic literature devoted to phonological processes in speech. One part of the thesis is basic insight into the issues of phonological processes in sign languages. The research of the height of articulation in Czech Sign Language affected by coarticulation follows the recent studies dedicated on changes in height of articulation of speakers of Dutch, American, Australian and New Zealand Sign Languages (Ormel, Crasborn, Kooij 2013; Tyrone, Mauk 2010; Grosvald, Corina 2012a; Russell, Wilkinson, Janzen 2011; Lucas et al. 2002; Schembri et al. 2009). The goal of the research is to describe the changes in height of articulation by the one-handed lexical signs with the place of articulation in the head area (the target signs KNOW and REMEMBER) affected by their phonetic context. The data were collected during the recordings of sign langugae production of 15 participants, all speakers of Czech Sign Language. 1400 tokens of target signs were excerpted and analysed in total. Results of research are compared with the present findings on coarticulation in foreign sign languages. Key words: Czech Sign Language, production...

Sémiotická "etnografie" Deleuze a Guattariho a ne-standardní animismus / Semiotic "ethnography" of Deleuze and Guattari and non-standard animismŠír, David January 2020 (has links)
The starting point of this work is the concept of indigenous animism in Félix Guattari's late work at the end of his life, understood as a form of subjectivity operating through different regimes of signs than the "modern" one. These animist semiotics are "polysemic" and "trans-individual," while instead of building a sharp division between the spheres of "nature" and "culture", they inhabit reality by "collective entities half-thing half-soul, half- man half-animal, machine and flow, matter and sign." The aim of most of the following text is then primarily to trace these semiotics across the joint work of Deleuze and Guattari. After introducing the context of Deleuze's philosophy and its specific "image of thought," and explaining its basic concepts, we will focus on the description and comparison of the semiotic "ethnographies" of Anti-Oedipus and A Thousand Plateaus. The first volume traces the "universal history" of the ways of hominization (becoming human) of man from the state of nature, through various forms of inscription, which constitute society and culture. These modes are several and do not work only through language. In the limit experience of schizophrenia, the authors of Anti-Oedipa find a moment preceding all these historically contingent forms of hominization. In contrast, the...

Strategie rostlin v podzemní kompetici - náhled skrze teorii her / Plant strategies in belowground competition - insight through game theorySmyčka, Jan January 2015 (has links)
In recent decades, it was shown that belowground competition for some plants may take form of the tragedy of the commons (TOC). In these plants, the competing neighbours invest more in root systems than would be appropriate for optimal nutrient uptake for the group and also more than they do when grown alone. However, there is also strong evidence that other species do not follow TOC, and tailor their root system to best nutrient exploitation irrespectively of competitor presence. The root investment strategy of these plants should correspond to the ideal free distribution (IFD). In my thesis I focus on two aspects: I use game theoretical models to explore, whether those strategies can coexist within species and also whether different species can coexist if they have different strategy. From this model I draw predictions, which I test by meta-analysis. Using Agrostis stolonifera as a model, I test assumptions on nutrient and neighbour perception, which underlie TOC and IFD models. I show that according to mathematical models, those two strategies can coexist in different species in a community, but cannot coexist within a species. Within a species, the TOC strategy should always dominate, once it appears. This can be extrapolated to macroevolutionary scale - once TOC occurs in certain clade, it should...
