The creative project explores some of the different careers in journalism which are available in today's job market. It shows eight former graduates of Ball State University working at their chosen profession. The areas shown are the following: advertising, newspaper reporting in both sports and a women's department, public relations, radio and television, and a large news service.Dr. Louis Ingelhart, Director of the Center for journalism at Ball State University introduces the film. Dr. Ingelhart discusses the type of student who takes classes at the Center and why he does so.The film runs about 25 minutes in length and was shot in black and white on 16mm film. An audio tape is synchronized with the film.The purpose of the creative project is to interest high school age students in studying journalism at Ball State University.
