Previous issue date: 2006-11-30 / Over the last three decades, the soap opera became a landmark in the history of television and culture of our country. It was not by unanimity, but the soap opera is so inserted in the context of our way of living that it is impossible not to be seen today as a reference to the art of acting in Brazil. And by both the artistic value of our actors/actresses and the high quality presented in every production, it is recognized worldwide as an authentic Brazilian product, disclosing many of our habits and showing our competence for doing television. Our intention with this work is to demonstrate that the narrative of a soap opera chapter resembles the structure of a tale. The tale and the soap opera have a sealed commitment with the reader: the
story s. And the way of telling the story, everyone does it in their own way. The tale has a unity of action and the fascination of telling and catching moments of our lives, while the soap opera is a habit and it frequently helps to ease the routine of the viewer. This world is more and more demanding in efficiency and competition and we hope that this work can motivate other people in their creativity of expressions, transformations and re-creations, valorizing the man who valorizes himself through his work and his creative communication. / A telenovela, embora não seja ainda unanimidade aos olhos e ao gosto do público brasileiro, tornou-se, ao longo das três últimas décadas, um marco na história da televisão e da cultura de nosso país. De tão inserida que está em nosso contexto sociocultural, impossível não ser vista hoje como um referencial da arte de representar no Brasil. E pelo valor artístico de nossos atores e a qualidade técnica apresentada a cada produção, é mundialmente reconhecida como um produto autentico brasileiro, reveladora de muito de nossos costumes e de nossa competência de fazer televisão. Pretendemos com este trabalho apresentar um estudo como a narrativa do capítulo de uma telenovela assemelha-se a estrutura de um conto. O conto e a telenovela têm um compromisso selado com seu leitor e telespectador: o da história. E o modo de se contar a história, cada qual a sua maneira. O conto tem uma unidade de ação e o fascínio de contar e flagrar momentos de nossas vidas, enquanto a telenovela é um hábito e muitas vezes contribui para amenizar a rotina do telespectador. Que este trabalho possa motivar outros, à criatividade de expressões, transformações e recriações, em um mundo cada vez mais exigente em eficiência e competitividade, valorizando o homem que se faz valorizar pelo trabalho e pela comunicação criativa.
