This diploma thesis deals with the history of the Primary Music School of Jindřich Jindřich in Cheb in the years 1918-1990. Using mainly German written archive sources maps how the school worked between the First World War and the Second World War and also during the Second World War, when the Cheb region became part of the Nazi German. With the information from the chronicles the thesis tries to reconstruct the history of the music school after the Second World War - after the transfer of the German population, the Czech music school was the only music education institute in Cheb, which was later called the Folk Music School of Jindřich Jindřich.
The thesis focuses on the operation of this educational organization from various points of view. Apart from the development of the number of students and teachers it pays also attention to the problems (e.g. space, finance, etc.) which they had to deal with in this period of time.
