Denna studie genomfördes i syfte att undersöka samband mellan anmälningsbenägenhet och förtroende för rättsväsendet, samt vilken potentiell påverkan utländsk härkomst kunde ha på detta förhållande. Studien var delvis en replikation av en BRÅ–rapport från 2008 och studiens resultat jämfördes med BRÅ–rapportens resultat. Ett test för interaktionseffekter genomfördes mellan förtroende för rättsväsendet och utländsk härkomst, i relation till anmälningsbenägenhet; något som BRÅ–rapporten inte inkluderade. Materialet bestod av data från NTU:s trygghetsundersökningar från åren 2013–2015 och analyserades med logistisk regression. Resultaten visade att samband saknas mellan anmälningsbenägenhet och förtroende för rättsväsendet, och dessa resultat stämmer överens med de från BRÅ–rapporten. Dessutom hittades inga interaktionseffekter mellan förtroende för rättsväsendet och utländsk härkomst. Slutsatsen var att denna studie inte kunde identifiera samband mellan anmälningsbenägenhet och förtroende för rättsväsendet, och replikationen bekräftade BRÅ–rapportens tidigare resultat. Utländsk härkomst verkade inte ha haft några effekter på sambandet. / The following study was conducted with the purpose of examining connections between the tendency to report crime and trust in the judicial system, and what potential impact foreign heritage might have on that relationship. The study was partially a replication of a 2008 BRÅ–report and the results of the study were compared to the results of the BRÅ–report. A test for conditional effects was conducted between trust in the judicial system and foreign heritage, in relation to the tendency to report; something that the BRÅ–report did not include. The material consisted of data from NTU:s survey from the years 2013–2015 and it was analyzed using logistic regression. The results showed that there was no connection between the tendency to report crime and trust in the judicial system, and these results matched those of the BRÅ–report. Additionally, no conditional effects were found between trust in the judicial system and foreign heritage. In conclusion, this study could not identify a connection between the tendency to report crime and trust in the judicial system, and the replication confirmed the earlier results of the BRÅ–report. Foreign heritage also seemed to have had no effects on the relationship.
