Hållbart byggande med minskat klimatavtryck : En fallstudie av Pålsjöäng

This thesis examines the approach to addressing climate issues in construction sites, focusing on the Pålsjöäng project in Helsingborg, which has a strong climate focus. The study aims to establish how work with a lowered climate impact is being integrated into construction practices, using the project as an example of active efforts towards low carbon footprint. Structured interviews with various professionals working in the project provide empirical data that is analyzed and compared with the theoretical framework, highlighting what distinguishes Pålsjöäng from traditional construction practices. Results indicate that the construction industry is breaking out of traditional practices and routines and emphasizes the significance of experience feedback in developing solutions for upcoming challenges. The report stresses the responsibility of leading industry players in guiding the construction industry towards low carbon practices and setting expectations from the beginning of the procurement process to facilitate meaningful change. Overall, the report provides insights and lessons learned on how work with sustainability issues in construction sites occurs, and how active progress can be made to reduce carbon footprint. Key concepts identified; sustainable development construction, implementation construction, knowledge transfer construction, and contract impact construction.
