the objects and their actions seek to meet these aspirations of hegemony. And among
these objects, there is emphasis on the road systems of movement, made up of bridges,
viaducts and tunnels, engineering works that cater to this nee increasingly evident in the
current period technical-scientific-informational. So on this premise, it becomes apparent

Norte, where the road systems of movement help to understand the process of

seguindo tal premissa, torna-se percept?vel que estes objetos t?cnicos refletem a
constitui??o espacial de Natal, capital do estado do Rio Grande do Norte, onde os
sistemas de movimento vi?rio auxiliam a entender o processo de fragmenta??o e
segrega??o espacial natalense, acelerado no final do s?culo XX. Utilizando como
instrumento para an?lise a legisla??o urban?stica desenvolvida na capital potiguar pela
administra??o municipal, o presente trabalho busca compreender, atrav?s de uma
matriz de periodiza??o, como estes sistemas de movimento configuraram o espa?o
natalense e qual a l?gica hegem?nica existente para delimitar a constitui??o e
localiza??o de cada um destes sistemas de movimento vi?rio, particularmente no que
se diz respeito ? rela??o existente entre estes e a amplia??o das possibilidades de
fluidez para determinados setores da economia natalense. Atrav?s de gr?ficos, mapas
e figuras buscam-se compreender quem s?o os setores hegem?nicos que mais se
beneficiam e quais pontos do espa?o natalense s?o mais beneficiados nestas rela??es
existentes entre os sistemas de movimento vi?rio (fixos) e os respectivos fluxos que os
utilizam para a sua maior reprodu??o
