いけばなの制作プロセスや作品を心理学や認知症ケアの学術研究の知見でとらえ直し、非薬物療法として開発した「いけばな療法」は、疫学的にも社会科学的にも信頼され、有効であることを明らかにした。さらに、「いけばな療法」の普及過程は、社会的包摂を実現しようとする伝統的な文化を活用したソーシャル・イノベーションの一例であることを示し、他の生活文化領域の振興にも活用できるモデルとなる可能性を示した。 / "Ikebana therapy" has been developed as a non-pharmacological treatment by reconsidering the making process and works of Ikebana, and based on the knowledge of academic research in psychology and dementia care theoretically. It has been verified and clarified that this therapy should be trusted and effective both in the perspective of epidemiology and social science.
