This dissertation mainly deals with the YH 127 oracle bones, excavated by the Institute of History & Philology of Academia Sinica, at Hsiao-hun Yin-hsu, An-yang County, Honan Province in June,1936. The academic circles generally divide these bones into five categories: tzu butsyr, tzyytzu butsyr, wutzu butsyr," tzyytzu subsidiary butsyr and bintzu butsyr. And then the author rearrange these"butsyr," or oracular writings, in chronological orders so as to piece together what exactly happened from the 40th year to the 53rd year under Emperor Wuding's rule.
Second, the author lays bare certain oracle bones which allegedly come from other pits though they are, in terms of oracular writings, compatible with the Pit 127 bones. And the main argument being proposed here is that these unidentified oracle bones might be what the Institute had lost in the interval between the YH 127 excavation and the categorization of its oracle bones. What's more, the author elaborates upon the process of digging out and numbering these YH127 bones.
At last, the author figures our the historical events kept in the oracular writings which, by and large, cover the last fifteen years of Emperor Wuding's dynasty.
